its really nice to see some honesty. the internet is awash with people saying oh you cant live with this budget, but this house is 100 usd, and incredibly nice
Thanks for the comment..it's actually very decent I ended up moving to another island and now paying pretty much double and it's smaller...but I don't need big this place comes with a pool and internet and furnished but the main plus for me is location and then pool ..here is lots more daily adventures close by . I will be doing some budget videos in the future, thanks for watching 👀
Thank you Yes I actually moved to different island now for more daily adventures..for me personally is important I pay double rent now here but have a pool and few extras but main reason was location . Thanks for watching 👀
Yes I agree and thank you for watching. I do hunt around looking for deals I am moving to another island and will be sharing the adventures there as well
The house seeems to have good dimensions.... I have seen many apartments on youtube where the bedroom is no bigger than a closet.... This house has much better spaces.... Goood job... That would be a very suitable place to live and you could easily set it up nicer for comfort... I would never pay more than $200.00 dollars for places i have seen in dumagute or cebu... real dumps there... You did well...
Thank you ...yes it's actually great size for the price and the mess is mine as I am dealing with moving . I am going to dumaguete area as I was there few years back and my passion is daily adventures ..hot springs..water falls .beach .mountains and there is much more of this there so after 2 years here decided on a move Thanks for watching 👀
Excellent video. I hope you're still making videos in 5 years when I retire. I'd love to find a place like this when I get there. What location are you in?
I would love to be able to find a place like that so that kind of money it would make it very much simple financially as I don't have a real large monthly income
Yes i agree and if staying away from very popular tourist destinations rents is much lower..like any country, I just moved to dumaguete where now my rent is double and smaller but with pool and some appliances, hot shower and free internet but mostly I like the choices in the area to explore so really depends your wants etc . Thank you for watching 👀
Thank for watching 👀 I have moved away from that city and island but like honestly most deals are found by driving right into compounds like this and looking for empty homes then asking around who owns it it's how I was able to find that one
It certainly is, i will tell the landlord, to remove that's stuff, ladder from the premises, get a hot water heater, and for $110 a month is a good bargain, i guess is far from malls and shopping centers, but it really a good price for the size!!
Thanks for this video. Nice space. Excellent price. Arrived from Canada a month ago. Been cooped up in Metro Manila since then but will soon venture. I've read that this island is the King of brown outs. Is that true? But the mangos make up for that!
Welcome here I am from Canada as well .. yes some parts are very bad for brown outs I am in Calapan it's not as bad but still can be a pain at times ..in the past 2 years here it's never been out long enough to stress over tho . I don't mind Manila for about a week at a time it's fantastic on new years rent a hotel with roof top pool and watch the fire works Good luck on your adventure Thanks for watching 👀
Hi, great for that price ! you are in Duma now and where you are has a pool and twice this place ? are there any vacancies in that setup ? as thinking of Dumaguete to stay when I return to the Philippnes, just subscribed and will follow your travel, cheers.
Hello yes I am in dumaguete now ..no I am paying twice the price now compared to Calapan and only have a one bedroom here but does have a pool at the moment it's all filled right now is a bad time as it's more tourist season. Depending how long your staying but if long-term I find best way is to drive around lots to find them little hidden gems . Even I go back I end up keeping my place just simple that way as I own my scooter etc . Thanks for the follow and watching 👀
Thank you for watching 👀 This place is in mindoro Island city of Calapan not really a tourist destination I would imagine in cebu would be more difficult to find that price range I am in dumaguete now and paying double for a one bedroom..but has a pool and for me personally worth it because much more day adventures available here .
So helpful Brian! Did you have to sign a lease? Did it take a long time to find this rental? Can you make improvements to the property if you want (at your cost)? Salamat Po!
I find most places here it's ok to do improvements on of course asking frist. Actually most these types of finds are time consuming as driving around and asking . Thanks for watching 👀
Thank you 😊 I did make a video on best ways to find some rental deals and gave a little explanation on how this one came about . Thank you for watching 👀
@liquidlightsurfer thank you for subscribing:) This place is on the island of mindoro..Calapan city it is great cost I did end up moving because I wanted to be near more daily activities as I enjoy exploring on my scooter all types of areas. Thanks for watching 👀
For that price you can afford to make some improvements to the place, but then I would negotiate a long term contract with a stipulation that the rent will not go up.
In other words, your lease can outlive you 😂, but love the idea. This house could be a nice jumping point for ones travel through out the Philippines, and it has enough space for 2. Remind me of your location, town/province to do some futher research. Thx.🎉
@MrJrweir yes at my age more history then future lol It's on the island of mindoro Calapan city. It's very easy to Manila few minutes to peir then about 2 hours on boat to batangus and less the 3 hours drive to city center ( if doing the morning run I left for the 8 am boat always )
I didn’t hear you tell what area this is so we don’t know where you’re at so how would we find a great place like this? I don’t know where you live. What city is this? What area of the Philippines is this?
Hi. Thank you for the video. My girlfriend and I live in Bulacan but we have been to Calapan more then once. We really like it there and was thinking of moving there. Is there more units available? If so we might seriously consider moving there.
Hello I have actually moved away from there to a different island wanted more day adventure choice. Was filled up when I left honestly the best way is doing driving into each compound and looking then if seeing a empty one asking around sometimes there is no number on the window etc I actually made a video on finding these deals and so far it's been best way ...any area you want to settle in find a place maybe temporary and then really explore all spots and asking people (the locals)
being through Calapan several times to board the ferry to Batangas, seems a nice place, please give more details of the location, thanks...(edit) only if you are not living there anymore, obviously ( for you own safety measures ). How did you find this place to rent ?
Yes very convenient going to batangus from there actually the place is not far from the peir I made a video about finding places here in the Philippines and this one I found by asking the guard if I can drive around the compound I do this often looking at areas and seeing if renting . I find you pretty much need going around and sreach and asking people near by when seeing a empty place etc some best deals that way . Thanks for watching 👀
Your welcome I find honestly best way is driving around many place only list there place with a phone number on the fence And if online it's often with a agent and it gets marked up one place I remember 2 different agent had a place and a few months later I found it by just a random drive and was 7k less in person (this is a extreme example)
@HeWhoLovesTheWorld316 very safe I left it for 6 months only thing that happened was over grown with weeds lol And the city there is safe actually over all most places here are ..if one is not careless
a/c? I saw one in the window. how hot is it there? When you find a rental, are they empty? You said you just got back.. I assume you just rented it for long term since it's inexpensive. And this is probably a remote area? So many questions.. lol. I guess I should watch more of your videos.
Thank you for asking and yes please feel free to ask ...I do keep my place year around..the a/c I did buy .you can rent empty or furnished because I rent long-term I like buying my own stuff because the wll be much cheaper ..I look for places that mostly don't need a/c at night ..I like cross winds and open air but sometimes it's just hot or if ever wanted a nap then nice to have a/c
At night i do have a fan but no a/c i like open windows i will have actually look what the temperature is at night but with even a little wind it really cools it nicely down @anniesshenanigans3815
