Best way to remove it from that spot would be to take off the two side panels that are on the sides of the trunk, you may be able to get away with just removing one side.
Thanks for your video , just got my X7 I can’t figure out why I can’t keep it running for the passengers when i get out of the car , when i ouch the park it turns off the car when. i exit.
Check the Door Settings, there should be a option to "turn on/off vehicle after opening doors" You can also put the car into sport or blip the gas so it kicks on the engine and then you can get out. It will mainly turn off when it's in the auto / start stop mode.
I just purchased a X7 2024. This video is very helpful. I had a question. I don't have the Capitan charges, iv put a baby seat in the second row. If by mistake I press the seat button for it to go down, is there somehow a way we can stop it instantly so it doesn't damage the seat? And the baby seat doesn't get damaged?
There are safety measure in place that will prevent the seat from going down and hurting anyone. Keep in mind that the pressure is still quite hard when it's doing this. You can press the button again to stop it.
Depending on the BMW. Try pressing the hamburger button located on the steering wheel, you should see content, layout, and head-up display boxes pop up. Scroll over to the head up display one and see if you can change that one to show the arrow.
I have purchased and received a 2024 X7. I added the Dynamic Handling Package. My question is where on the instrument cluster (or elsewhere) can I verify that the DHP was in fact added to my vehicle. Thanks.
Very hard to tell. Best way is to check the window sticker and if you don't have that I would call BMW, and give them the vin to check to see if it has it or not.
Great video!. About self parking: let's say I want to record a path for the vehicle to always park in reverse in my garage. When arriving home for the first time, can I pull forward to my driveway, set it to record a new path, turn the vehicle around, pull into my garage in reverse and then, every time I arrive it will do exactly the same by itself?. Thanks.
Yes, I have 24 x7. I have a path recorded to reverse in garage. It will do exactly what you recorded. Once you get to that spot, it will automatically pop up on the screen to ask if you want to activate your pre-recorded path.
Great question, I'll be doing a video on this later this year but I also am pasting this comment I just did on another video.. The function for parking it into a garage would be "record paths" its a brand new function that they are rolling out with and with this function you could set it up so that the vehicle can enter the garage and even exit it with a push of a button. You can go into the parking assistant screen and then you'll see on the right to "Record Path" then it'll go into a mode where it'll began to record your car movements, just drive it into the garage or exit just like you normally would and it'll remember it. The next time when you're at the starting point of your path, in the parking assistant screen, it'll ask you if you would like to use your recorded path to park or exit your vehicle! Yes it'll remember the gear shifting from reverse and drive, vice versa, as well!
Thanks! I would check in the TAILGATE settings to check to see if the feature is on. A lot of times it is difficult to get it to work too. You have to swing your kick at a medium pace, going only front to back.
The side step is a very thin running board, not something you can step on properly, more designed for aesthetics. Difference in height is not a whole lot by any means, I would say 1-2 inches.
Hey man I just picked up my 2024 bmw 330i I have a question, if I have the screens on and the engine off will that hurt my battery, I was setting up my car when the engine was off and the display is on, I want to make sure I’m not draining the battery
Not a problem as long as it’s not any thing that is on for a long time. Meaning hours. The system will turn off all by itself too after a period of time. Most common ways battery drains is it the key is left in side. So when you’re not in it. Take the key out.
24 x7s do not allow to turn off the feature unfortunately, the laws have made this very strict to do for idling reasons. Your only bet would be to have the vehicle in sport mode and that would prevent the vehicle from turning off. You could also have it set to sport individual with the individual settings to be set to comfort steering, etc
It should have it, and it should do it automatically, if you feel it isn't dimming similarly to the other side, it would be a good idea to get it checked.

Yes you can, they don't do too too much, just your standard controls of recline, forward and backward.

There are safety measure in place that will prevent the seat from going down and hurting anyone. Keep in mind that the pressure is still quite hard when it's doing this. You can press the button again to stop it.
Sir you didn't mention if you have a tow hitch the kick function do not work for the opening and closing of the trunk.

If you have an older idrive, will it update to the 8.5? I have a 23 with the bottom icons on the left, not the bottom center.
Depends if it was built early 23 or late 23, late 23 should I believe through a software update.
Can the direction(navation arrow) via AR be projected on the head up display? Both Merc and Audi have this feature. Is that in BMW also?

Not enough demand on it since we're up to idrive 9 now. Plenty of videos on the channel that go through a good amount of idrive 7 though.

how can I control my media volume using my phone or from the back seat?
The backseat has no controls for media. You could try using your phone and turning the volume down whenever music is playing from your phone.
The volume automatically stays at 100% in phone it does not decrease even if I try decreasing using phone
How do your mats compare with Weathertech?
Weather tech probably has better functionality, I personally love the look and fit and finish of the OEM Rubber mats, which is what the link goes to.
