I've been waiting for this video; thank you for going into detail about the different packages. I purchased a 2023 330i in Brooklyn Grey Metallic 🙂in November and your videos have helped me a lot! I appreciate your content!!!
I drive remote roads and I’ve had ablowouts in the middle of nowhere. I could not imagine not having a spare tire. I easily call roadside assistance and they’ll swap it out for me versus having to go into some small town, tire shop and buying some Chinese tire that happens to be the same size as what I need. This happened to me the number of years ago and I almost got stranded my current x3 m40i has the spare tire and the amount of room that I lose is negligible. I don’t even use the entire back area for me having the spare tire is mandatory. The most useless feature on these cars is the gesture control after two months I turned it off. It was so frustrating. It had a mind of its own that in the drive recorder of the two most useless features available on these cars. Performance package is basically non-run flat tires, bigger brake rotors, and calipers and an extra oil cooler. There is no difference using the adaptive suspension. Not sure where you came up with that.
Hi, I’d just like to say a big thank you for your clear and concise explanation! You managed to cover every single feature I wanted to know about! Keep up the great work and I’ll be sure to like and subscribe. Thanks from UK 🇬🇧
This one is a older X5, 2023 before they got rid of the buttons. Buttons are greatly missed but best way to use the new climate controls is through voice commands.
I would reccomend anyone who lives in an area where temperature gets Below +10 degrees celsius to get winter tyres. The brake distance and road grip is better than summer tyres from around +10 degrees celsius. They should be used before snow comes.
@@BeamerViewand great video! I just ordered a lease on the new i5 edrive40 and was curious about the new driving assistant plus & iDrive 8.5. Thank you for breaking everything down so well
Awesome video as always! What percentage of the available options do you think you covered? I couldn't really think of many things that were missed, maybe the massage seats option?
I'm pretty sure for the 3 Series, X5, & X3 it should be about 80-90%. BMW releases packages and options and switches them around quite often so things could change overtime. Massage seats are not bad, not as good as a massage chair, more like feeling bumps going up and down your back.
Did I miss something or you didn't mention the best option ever for music enthusiasts? The Bowers Wilkins sound system. I took this as my previous 740i had Harman Kardon and it was crappy, had to replace all speakers with aftermarket to have a nice sound coming out of it. Bowers Wilkins is a must have if you have played instruments or sing and have a musical ear. Harman Kardon is mediocre compared to that. I would recommend Bowers Wilkins to everyone, but at $3400, only if you can afford it 😅
Car caring is another way to relax in your car. The car will do things such as blow air, change the mode lighting, and play a type of music to either relax or vitalize you. Experience modes is also quite similar but it's more to change the ambiance in the vehicle. Say for example, you were about to take a conference call, you can go into executive mode and it'll close the shades, change the lighting, and set the car up so that it'll be nice and confined. Expressive which is the opposite, say for example you just got off work and wanted to go on a nice fun drive, expressive mode will open up everything, change the lighting to a warmer tone. Both aren't used very much but I could see how one would utilize them given the right circumstance.
I bought a 2020 X3 M sport and it was advertised to have adaptive cruise control but didn't. I also wanted remote start. The BMW dealership said none of these items could be added on and they couldn't find another car just like it with these things. They said it was because of the chip shortage in 2020 so none of them had it. Not having remote start in 100 degree plus weather is awful. I try to remember to use the pre--ventilation setting, and it helps, but remote start would be so much better.
Quick question, im looking to buy a 2024 m340i and there are lots of packages that make me wonder if they are worth it. I like the driving assistance package since i like driving myself on the highway. What packages do you think are non negotiable for the car? Im new to bmw’s as well. Love the videos, been watching for a few days now to learn more.
Driving Assistance Plus is a must for me, I would not buy a car without that package since it's something I use everyday driving on the highway. I personally love shadowline and having the blacked out elements. Parking Assistance plus I would get since it's only a $700 more upgrade. Remote engine start, heated seats, heated steering wheel, extended shadowline (for the blacked out grill) Harmon Kardon, great system Adaptive M suspension is also a $550 upgrade not bad.
I have run flats on my car, and it's my understanding that they can indeed be patched and plugged. You only have to replace them once you exceed 50 miles driving on a flat. Theoretically you could catch a flat, drive 5 miles to a tire shop and get it plugged, and then continue to drive as normal until the next time that tire catches a flat in which case you would have 45 miles to go before needing to replace it. (Correct me if I'm wrong) 👍
I would think that a lot of 3 and 5 series customers would use the powered trunk feature. It can come in very handy when loading and unloading groceries, luggage, etc.
True, aside from groceries I personally don't use the trunk very often. But if one was using it for other reasons such as luggage or for kids, I would recommend.
I have a question, I have a M Sport pro package 2023 330i. I bought it used, and it doesn't come with Divers assistance profession or parking assistance professional. Can I get this added now at a dealership? Are these features OTA updates? Or will it require hardware to be installed? Would it be costly?
For the most part it's not some that could be added on. Both require hardware parts to get it working and they do not do this after the vehicle is already built. Some of the new vehicles that are rolling out may have a option in your main menu for "connected drive store" I would look into that and see if there is anything remotely close to the packages that you mentioned.
Hi there great videos can I ask a question I have a 128 ti on the digital dashboard why isn’t the gears showing up on the right hand side of the digital dashboard I like knowing what gear I am in thanks mike
I'm new to the channel and have watched a few videos in the past few months, but I was wondering why you only do reviews of features in BMW M and BMW M Sport vehicles? I mean, you do sell non M and M-Sport trims, right? Just wondering
They just happen to be the ones that are most equipped, making it easier to demonstrate more features. A lot of my "101" videos are the ones that include non-msport.
Hi. I'm ordering an X7 40i and don't know if Dynamic Handling Package is worth it. I live in Florida where most roads are straight, flat and smooth. Does DHP adds even more smoothness when driving on these type of roads?. I don't plan to do spirited driving or really need rear steering. I'm interested in this package if it adds an more comfortable suspension. Thanks.
I personally wouldn't see myself getting it on a X7. X5 sure, if it was a M60 but for a X7, it's not the type of vehicle i'd be swinging around much. So I wouldn't recommend it to be honest. Also living in FL gives it another reason not to get it since there is a lot of space to move around, it's not the same for the smaller states and cities. You're thinking in the right direction! =)

Great to hear! Congrats on the purchase. Plenty more coming, stay tuned =)
The M differential is a game changer when tracking the car or sport driving in city or hi way. Once you experience it, you do go without it!
Good to know, gotta try it out!

What model is that!? I love that the climate controls are still physical buttons
Agreed!! they have now eliminated all climate controls.. Sucks big time!

Try pressing the BC button near the turn signal, that is one way to bring up that menu on the instrument cluster.
