Generation of Wind Load in STAAD - Part 1: Basics & Wind Load Distribution || IS875 Part 3 2015

For complete analysis and design of any residential, commercial or industrial structure, application of wind load is necessary. When wind load is applied on any face of a structure, it is distributed to other structural components. For wind analysis, correct wind load distribution is necessary.
In this video, I have discussed, how wind load is distributed to different structural components and the basics of wind load generator in STAAD which can auto-generate wind load on the walls.

Which version it is, I can't find any option of assign wind load as per indian standard.

Wind load generator was implemented in STAAD.Pro CONNECT Edition V22 Update 8. If you use any version since Update 8, you can find this option in the Load ribbon.

Does these wind load generation wizard comes with staad pro advanced version only ??

This feature was implemented in CONNECT Edition V22, Update 8. You need to use this or later version of STAAD to use this feature. This is not limited to STAAD Advanced license, you can use either STAAD Basic or Advanced license.

By default, batten and lacing are not considered during member design. During design, we can consider the effect of these additional elements using various design parameter. For more accurate analysis, you can create a FEM model, though it is time consuming and not recommended for normal steel structure.
