So, from the way this disease is portrayed, it is the following:
1. An anthropozoonotic (can spread from humans to animals and vice versa) pathogen, presumably bacterial in nature, that relies on a number of species as a key element of its life cycle. The disease is spread via bodily fluids and aerosol transmission. More strangely, it also affects plants, which is covered further down.
2. Following an incubation period of a variable amount of time, the bacteria induces rapid-onset gas gangrene in those it infects, which manifests as dark gas bubbles containing the bacteria and the gas it produces - This isn't too far from reality, but for your sanity, if you can't handle medical gore, _don't look it up._ Or do! I can't stop you.
3. Death is caused by necrosis of the organs in conjunction with the aforementioned gas gangrene.
4. Following necrosis of the affected organism's organ systems, this gas causes the body to rupture and spread the bacteria over a wide area.
5. The start of the infection cycle appears to be as a result of animals coming into contact with vegetation contaminated by bacteria released from the rupturing of prior victims. As the condition is incurable at this point, isolation once infected from any available plants is a viable method of controlling its spread, though sterilisation of already-contaminated surfaces may also be an option.
6. Through unknown means, remaining tissues of human victims, mostly more durable structures such as bones, are incorporated into larger plants such as trees and shrubs.
7. At least some of the animals infected by the bacteria appear to be capable of luring potential victims towards them where they can then be infected. These are audible and visual in nature, composed of anomalous bioluminescence and high-pitched vocalisations.
Actually, It seems that the trees are a result of the infection. As such it might be a parasitical tree of some sorts that grows inside the host as described and then uses the decaying body as a structure to grow and gain nutrients, like a strangler fig but from the inside out. As the victim vomits up fluid they are actually spreading the trees seeds that infect the plant they grown on, which is then consumed by animals, which continue the cycle. The trees also seems to have bioluminescent properties, msot likely to attract further prey.

This is my first video that I've seen from you, and HOLY FUCK.... you did an amazing job with the visuals. You totally nailed the film look, especially when it keeps fading in and out to black in the middle of the video. Even the VHS film looks realistic as hell, like WOW. @I xm1ru I I think we will get a big reveal of the devil’s daughter if that is the case. Think abt it. At the end of every season, we always got a small peak at it. If surreal broadcast is ending with the next episode, they could send the series out with a bang by revealing all of wut the devils daughter looks like, kinda like how the most recent episode of local 58 revealed the monstrosity on the moon

Theory: In the newest video, Animal Bite Emergency, it talks about the effects of being bitten. Basically, if you are bitten by these creatures, your flesh can literally fall off your body until you're nothing but a skeleton. In Unusual Tour Guide, it mentions that if you find a bunch of clothes on the ground, you need to leave immediately. My theory is that the clothes left behind once belonged to previous victims who were bitten, and had their flesh melted away.
Also, it mentions that one of the missing people is named Jimmy Williams. In Tales of Berksaut, one of the stories involved a kid named Little Jimmy, who had ran deep in the woods of Berksaut and got lost. It then shows a hole in the ground, where you can see three glowing eyes peeking out of it. The text at the bottom of the screen says "Little Jimmy has made a friend." This could've been the same Jimmy that was shown in Animal Bite Emergency, in which his skeletal remains are seen. My theory to this is that Jimmy grew curious about the creature and walked over to the hole where it was at. He possibly reached his hand down the hole to grab it, only for him to get bitten by the creature. Because of the fatal effects of the bite, Jimmy never managed to return home, which is why we see his remains in Animal Bite Emergency. There also are two other victims whose remains are shown, Brian Baxter and Natally Numman. These two were also clearly victims of being bitten.

An excellent series. the work put in to describe this infection, walk us through the history of the town, and build up tension of what exactly this infection is were done incredibly well.
