One of my biggest childhood fears was always that my parents would somehow "change" or turn into something weird (a zombie etc.). So this really hit the note.
The cut to "the being" when she's looking at her phone is the scariest part. You can only see part of her body, but it's terrifying. Even more than the end. It's so well done!
1:13 What makes this part so chilling to me is, looking at the layout of the kitchen, I think its safe to assume there's only 1 way in and 1 way out, (the door she's standing in) so with that, that thing knows the little girl is fucked and that she cant escape. Even if she tried going through the window, she would never have enough time to open it and jump out before it would reach her, and its just smiling like it knows all of that too makes it even more chilling... and then at 1:21 she smiles when the girl calls her mom, like "haha it worked, she thinks im her mom"
The ambient background noises, the broad daylight and the lack of scary music or jumpscare sounds makes this eerily immersive. This is a million times more scary than anything Hollywood spat out.
Absolutely terrifying! The acting, the writing, the directing and filming, everything worked together incredibly and made for a genuinely frightening movie!

In just 2 minutes my anxiety shot through the roof. This was an amazing video; that we're will be nearly impossible, for anyone else to match.

I am one of those people. The first time I watched this I was almost disappointed with that final shot of Agnes; it looked like some cheap animation that didn't fit the rest of the video. Thankfully this showed up again in my feed and I've since sorted my brightness setting out 😅was able to actually see her this time and fully appreciate how well this was done. Fantastic work! I'm 69 years old. My youngest son put me on to the two and three, minute TH-cam horror videos and I've watched a bunch of these things. This might be my favorite so far.
I watched it on my break at work on the night shift. Scared the crap out of me. I literally kept looking behind me and at door entrances because I was so creeper out, and I worked on the Lowe level alone so you can imagine.
@@FilmSpookhow? The entire point of this skit is the tension buildup. In a feature length movie, you'd have to find a way to release that tension which would take away 95% of the creepiness. That's why third acts of all horror movies are objectively the worst parts of the movie. This skit is essentially just the 1st and 2nd act which is why it's so good

These clips being short is what makes them interesting. Build ups and extra stories usually makes the movie horrible. Most of the time horror movies aren't any good until the climax.

Awesome short! My deepest respect for: - getting super creepy vibes in bright daylight - not using any (!) jumpscares - having the most charming AND the most frightening actress (Samara Ijezie) I've seen in a long, long time - succeeding in having an everyday situation going to hell within two and a half minutes (it takes Stephen Kind roundabout 800pages to achieve the same ;) ) - not using any (!) jumpscares (can't praise this enough) Tiny nitpick (so tiny you'd need a microscope to really care) would be to use a slightly tilted cam angle for the final reveal... just to add more to the creep factor.
I love these types of films. Something genuinely creepy that truly unsettles the viewer. 😍😍 Mimic spirits are something I want to explore in my own filmmaking journey.
