wich bucket seat is this and do you like it?
The software says it can't open your file with the "current software settings'
@@slackpanda3643ya… I bought a Next Level Racing GTElite Lite rig…. Lol
pro tip: use your flip flops to block chair wheels from driving off
This is the exact mind set Im also on right now and this exactly the type of video I was looking for. Thanks man
Hadz! Thanks for posting! During Lockdown I built a 3DOF motion rig (welded metal). Now I want to make a lighter (more responsive) upper frame to see if I get snappier performance. Been mulling over 80x20 designs. I need to do this myself, Like you. Good guide! Take a look if you get a chance, I will replace seat with Kirkey 55. DMAX
Can you post a new Download Link please, the old one is dead
Wich Seat do you have there ?
hi. Great vid. On the same mission, to design and build my own rig. Can I ask - what seat it that and would you recommend it? Thanks
Great rig and good introduction to DIY sim rig design. After you add the monitor stand, which it looked like you had done during the first part of the video, is this now a dedicated Sim Racing/gaming setup or do you still use your computer for standard productivity work?
Hey. We've moved on quite a bit from this setup now as it happens but yeah I have a dedicated rig and then my main desk is used for other games/editing etc.
What chair are you using?
Hi, how did you mount the wheelbase to the rig? I know you used the connectors but those are usually M8 sized holes whilst the wheelbase is usually M6.
Just used M6 screws with the same brackets.
Hello ... can you tell me how to connect the Clubsport V3 pedals from Fanatec to the Logitech G29? How does this work?
Hey. You don't connect them together. You connect the fanatec pedals and g29 wheel separately via USB. pedals via one USB and wheel via its own USB. No need to connect them together
How much did it cost after completion, aside from the monitor stand?
The rig itself wasn't that expensive. £320 or so for the matierals, and then another £150/200 for the chair. Not including the actual hardware itself
@@hadzf1 may i ask what chair that is? I can barely find a bucket seat under 500 and yours looks pretty well made.
I always wondered why they call it 8020 profiles, it is clearly 80x40 or 40x40 profiles
There are lots of different sizes to be fair, I think 80x20 is the standard size, but you're right you can combine multiple
unless you have a insanly cheap supplier of 80-20 you wont come close to the cost of a prebuilt.
Well that's simply not true. I built this rig for £300 which is way cheaper than any 80x20 rig at the time. Bare in mind this was many years ago now (check the release date of the video) so of course prices have rocketed for everything. This wasn't just a theory though, I made the rig
How can you have the highest end Fanatec pedals with the most entry level wheel with 15yo tech.
That's definitely the weirdest simracing combo I've ever seen.
I think you've missed the point. It was all about money and what to upgrade first. Pedals were a priority over the wheel, and when I could afford it I upgraded to a clubsport wheel base not log after.
