Only 80 bucks, downside is a lil bit on the small side and quite heavy for it size, but I don't mind since its exactly what I'm looking for (i claw grip). @@diomedes7971 All the Razer mice I got would last no more than 1 year. After that the switches would go bad in ALL of them. I'm not even a gamer, I'm a developer. Never going to buy a Razer mouse again.
@@diomedes7971 I've gone through too many Logitech mice double clicking even after an RMA and getting multiple replacements. To call a Logitech mouse good, IMO, is a stretch.
I had to switch from my beloved Mad Catz MMO7 mouse over to a Logitech G502 because I could not replace the switches anymore. The PCB was breaking down and after resoldering new switches for the fourth time, it was time to say goodbye. I really, REALLY dislike that it's nearly a nightmare to replace switches and manufacturers want you to throw away perfectly fine electronics just because a switch fails. This looks awesome and I hope that more manufacturers get on that train in order to be environmentally friendly with something like "for the green gamer" or whatnot.
i used hyperscroll since G5 which came around 2006/7 and after it broke in 2015 i'm using G500s to this date but i think ineed to replace it. any recommendation?
amazing you touched on everything on the outside of the mouse and not whats inside... you know what i mean? 1 ms response times? this is by far one of the fastest mouse available today if not the one, that trinity mentioned in the matrix.
Oh yes... For the majority of my gaming mise, the scroll wheel has been the biggest issue. Mostly on Razer products, one with cable issues, but also Roccat. And now with my first, Corsair, it's actually my first time encountering double clicking issues. Would be so much cheaper to just replace one part rather than spend another +100€ on a gaming mouse. But obviously, this wouldn't be so beneficial for the companies as they would gain less money.
I got the ROG Gladius over 5 YEARS ago, and those switches were involved as well. Very neat feature, but with the construction on that one, it was harder to swap out. I've been using the Gladius for all these years since, but just picked up the Chakram for half-price ($87 after tax) from Amazon Warehouse "Used", everything is here except for the sticker. The swappable cord is what made my Gladius last so long for me, now Chakram is Bluetooth and wireless charging, and these switches are VERY easy to get to, will be interesting to see if the hotswap switches actual make an impact w/ Chakram where they couldn't w/ Gladius.
I think being able to add your own custom insignia/logo vs using stock is absolutely game changing alongside having hot swappable switches. I’d switch over but just like those features being revolutionary, having an inertia scroll wheel is essential for me so Logitech still chains me down until other manufacturers can incorporate the tech. Also thank you for the video! It was extremely enjoyable! Love how you always bring quality & up your game. One of the best if not THE Best review channels out there in tech.
G602 is quite heavy with 2 AA batteries inside. Love it, used it for years, recently switched to G604 and the shape and buttons are perfect, so is the response time. The only downside is the metal wheel which is quite loud in the clicky mode and very inaccurate in infinite scroll mode which in my eyes is just a useless gimmick (just press and hold the wheel and move the mouse to scroll with high speed).
The removable switches are actually a cool thing. The first thing which would break on those mice are the switches by slowly developing double click issue. With a replacable switch as easy as this it wouldn't be a problem to solve.
what i like about your videos, you can actually play really well! that's why I value your opinion on mices and keyboards more than others imho. thanks Dimitri!
Having used the G903 for a while now, going through a RMA because the switches died, and then having to solder new switches even after that, replaceable switches should absolutely be the future.

I really like heavy weight mouse. I have a Sensei 310 but the switch lifespan is so short even though with Omrion 50 million click, not sure why it keep registers double click. ROG Chakram really blows my eye with the replaceable switch. But I am cofused with the joystick? How is the custom mapping looks like? Can it work with other program like Adobe software etc? Or it just works for games?
Got it for half price, no regrets. Pretty brilliant mouse now I have gotten used to it. Use joystick as 4 button d-pad (handy for tarkov), battery life with 50% led brightness lasts a fairly damn long time. Takes 20mins and its full charge again. Easy cleaning of dust btw, prevent dust getting trapped inside. Hella handy. I recommend it. Standard RRP is a bit expensive though
User swappable switches? Love the sound of that. After spending $80-100 on a mouse the switches shouldn't start dying, sticking, or double tapping on a single click after just a few months of use - looking at you Corsair and Steel Series...

Sheeple arguing against this feature are completely clueless or have never dealt with faulty mouse switches causing double click before.

Mines comming in 2 hours :). Along with ROG falcrion 65% keyboard. I’m guessing the joystick placement is due to it feeling weird if your fingers on it all the time?
I picked up the ASUS Gladius II Wireless earlier this year. Basically a more typical ergonomic mouse but it still has the swappable Omron switches and the 2.4GHz/Bluetooth connectivity. Lacks the Qi charging which isn't too much of a big deal actually considering I just leave it plugged in overnight and it lasts for a couple days after that, but it still takes getting used to after using Logitech's Powerplay charging mat for a year with a G703. Too bad Logitech's mice have given me too many problems for me to consider them again.
are the mouse settings saved ON the mouse, like will i still have all the profiles and macro's if i use the software to make them, but then Save and uninstall the software?
The removable logo is probably meant for people to 3D print their own logo's to go on the mouse. The extra puck would be for knowing the size you need to keep your printed puck to.
FYI, your "Awesome Slider:" link goes to an apple dongle Just for giggles, would you mind sharing what lights you use? Y'alls' lighting is always on point. I have a bunch of Aputure LED panels, and love them, but I also wonder what other people like and use.
I've been using mine for two months now and i'm very pleased. However i agree with you on the joystick, it's way too far from your normal thumb placement so it's very akward to use.
my thumb is fairly large so for me its probably perfect. i have real problems finding mice for my massive palmgrip. i can't use thumb buttons because of how far back they are for my thumb.
Hey HardwareCanucks, is it possible for you guys to make a gaming mice video dedicated for people with large hands? I use the Mionix NAOS in palm-grip style, while it is the best gaming mouse so far fit wise (compared to steelseries sensei 300, Microsoft express 3.0, Mionix Castor), it is a little too narrow for me and my ring finger extends past the mouse and drags along the mousepad. Would love to see you guys make a comparison. Thanks.
I have wrote a free gaming mice. This was one of my most anticipated releases. I love the analog controls, and I feel it helps when sculpting 3d models. As for gaming, it is very comfortable, however like you, the analog is too far forward to use comfortably while gaming. An adjustment they can make with am updated release. The replaceable switches are great, and the weight is perfect for me. Overall, it is a great most with great benefits. It is my mouse of choice when doing 3d modeling. For gaming, I prefer the Corsair dark core rgb. The Logitech g903/502 light speed for browsing (infinite scroll).
@Hardware Canucks Did you have issues launching the Armoury II software? The program does not start at all for me. I get as program not responding error for me. Help !
The swappable switches is a really cool feature. Idk what the hell you would use the joystick on a mouse for though? I'd like to see more half-controllers/left-hand controllers for movement and a mouse for aiming.
I wish there was a purely wired version. Or at least the cable isn't just for charging but the entire communication with the PC goes through it while connected. And when the battery gets fully charged it gets internally disconnected and the mouse gets it's power from the PC. This way the mouse would act as wired with the cable and wireless when you disconnect it, That would've been fantastic.
Biggest complaint of the Asus Gladius II was the dps button was right where the thumb was and people accidently pressed it. Biggest complaint about the Asus Chakram, the joystick is too far forward and should go right where the thumb goes. 🤷♂️
Why do they always put the damn side buttons too far forward. This is my biggest gripe also, even on my G502, the snipe button is way too far away. Who's hand are they designing these for, ET?
i want this but with tilt scroll and scroll or a d-pad instead of the joystick. mayb switchable sides with a lot of sold separately layouts. rn i'm looking to buy a secondary mouse since my g305 gets uncomfortable if i grip it for long periods of time in games like for the king or civ 6.
Nothing beats the g700 imo for a mouse. It's got a few spare buttons, without being insane like some of those "mmo" mice with a full 60% keyboard hanging off the side. It's wireless or wired depending on your preferences. I have never found a scroll wheel that comes close to the one that Logitech put on the g700(they use it on other mice, but no other manufacturer has anything close from what I've seen, please prove me wrong, I want to get away from logitech), and the cable supersedes the wireless adapter, so you can have the dongle plugged into your laptop, and the cable in your desktop, then switch back and forth with relative ease. I use a magnetic cable for that, so switching to the desktop is as easy as getting in the vicinity of the cable end. The only downsides that I've seen is the battery life for rechargeable AA batteries since it only uses 1, and the lifetime of the switches. I haven't ran into this yet, but am worried for when I do.
Seriously mouse developers MAKE LEFT HANDED VARIANTS!!! The Roccat Kiro I'd a perfect example of how easy it is to make one mouse both handed and perfectly implemented!!!!
Shadowstray asus already did that feature in their other mouse like the pugio 2 and 1,gladius 2 and the origin version love that people just really know this feature now
I love the idea of an analogue stick on a mouse (I backed the Lexip Pu94 on Kickstarter that offered the same thing), but it looks like this has the same problem as that in that the analogue stick is in an uncomfortable position for actual decent use. For me personally I need it to be directly underneath the two side buttons. As soon as a mouse comes out that does that I'll drop the money on it immediately. The hotswappable switches is a fantastic move though. After getting a hotswappable keyboard (Dygma Raise) I don't think I could ever go back.
The idea of an analog stick is brilliant.. But really dont know why they put those extra side buttons so far to reach without loosing your natural grip...
I was hoping you could use the joystick for macros and such, (Up, Down, Left, Right) in applications, would have made a pretty cool productivity improvement
I found the left- and rightclick action to be a bit "loose" and flimsy tho. Got a too plastic feel to it. Like, if i just rest my finger on the leftclick and gentle wiggle the finger, the leftclick-unit wiggles and makes plastic-ie sounds. Ain't my cup of tea, if anyone understood what i was getting at, gah. It's a shame tho, since i was really excited by it's specs.
Heres my dream mouse that I honestly hope becomes real. -MMO Style mouse with a lot of programmable buttons and onboard memory -Wireless -Hyperscroll -RGB -Hot-swappable switches -Qi wireless charging or a dedicated charging stand Logitech get on it please
How long till these manufacturers realise so many of us do gaming and productivity.. I game on a MX Master because productivity and ergonomics are more important to me. I wish logitech would offer a low latency version of the mx master... Best of both worlds

Mines comming in 2 hours :). Along with ROG falcrion 65% keyboard. I’m guessing the joystick placement is due to it feeling weird if your fingers on it all the time?
where can i just download the armory 2 sofware?
Replaceable Switches? Thats awesome! There are so many mice I've had to throw out because I've worn the switches out!
The mouse clearly blows, when one of main features can't even be reached wtf is the point?
The removable logo is probably meant for people to 3D print their own logo's to go on the mouse. The extra puck would be for knowing the size you need to keep your printed puck to.
FYI, your "Awesome Slider:" link goes to an apple dongle
Just for giggles, would you mind sharing what lights you use?
Thanks.
ultralight is here to stay for a very good reason from a competitive gaming point though it would be great to see this joystick in more mouses.
Looks like a good mouse thanks Dmitry
Help !
does it have an ultimate spinning scroll wheel likes G502?
hyperscroll are patented by Logitech so no, there's no other mouse that has hyperscroll.
if you use the joystick for aiming, will you get aim assist?
Hope Asus give you the Pugio 2 for testing. Hotswappable switches are underrated.
hope they make a lightweight version
what is that background sound like ringing alarm sound? DFQ
Hotswappable switches are definitely a feature I would look for. I'm actually planning to solder in a replacement switch for my G900 this weekend.
If Checkram had more buttons, I would have bought it. I just bought the Logitech G604 Mouse and I love it!
I love the more quite switch!
I was hoping you could use the joystick for macros and such, (Up, Down, Left, Right) in applications, would have made a pretty cool productivity improvement
You want an MMO mouse for that.
Would love the hotswap switches because I'm having to solder new switches to my G604 because Omron is trash.
They should release a mini like this, like the viper mini.
So you pay extra just for replaceable switches? $150 for this? I just got a Mionix Castor for $30
Heres my dream mouse that I honestly hope becomes real.
-MMO Style mouse with a lot of programmable buttons and onboard memory
-Wireless
-Hyperscroll
-RGB
-Hot-swappable switches
-Qi wireless charging or a dedicated charging stand
Logitech get on it please
How long till these manufacturers realise so many of us do gaming and productivity.. I game on a MX Master because productivity and ergonomics are more important to me. I wish logitech would offer a low latency version of the mx master... Best of both worlds
Hot swapable switch are just a gimmik once you buy a proper made in japan omron switch it lasts such a long time. Just take some time to desolder the switch and replace it
If this had the G502 shape, still maintaining all features, including the joystick, I would have definitely bought it. I simply much prefer the G502 shape to anything else.
