  • Wheels can really change the look of a car and I love the way my car looks at the moment. I didn't want to change the look drastically so I wanted to choose a wheel I could drive on daily but not sacrifice quality, looks or performance. I think the Graml Light 57DR are the perfect choice!

    I only just realized... the reason why the Type R comes only in a hatchback is so that you can carry your extra tires with you for track day. Makes total sense.

    Clearly you are not in Canada, meaning that is not a Canadian spec Type R, but i see the VTECturbo decal on the back hatch. I heard those cost a bunch of $$$ to buy, since every American with a Type R, wanted to buy one for their Civic Type R's? However they are only on the Canadian market Type R's.

I race karts at the state level (and am thinking about getting a shifter kart soon and racing in that series as well) so I think I'll just continue doing that for now, as much as the adrenaline junkie in me is begging me to track the CTR already, haha

    • @GridZilla

    Would you say the handling is less precise with the 18” wheels?

      @@GridZilla Hi, About the tires : 265/35R18 ?
      Isn't it "a little bit" away from OEM 245/30R20??? I thought about the difference in diameters
      Otherway the car looks really WOW !!!

    • @GridZilla
      @GridZilla  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alexandru Dan Malinas yes 265/35/18. Slight difference from stock diameters. 2 mph difference on speedo/odo allows for clearance on Swift Springs.

    What you do to prevent it from rubbing on that new wheels and spring set up? Camber, fender cutting, camber arms??

    • @GridZilla

      No rubbing except hard bumps if there’s heavy cargo/passengers in the rear.

      When you do rub, do you know the exact location your tires is hitting?

    Please if anybody gets quoted higher than MSRP on this car leave a bad review on dealership let's end it together

      Chris Smith I hear ya and I know that can make the buying experience frustrating but consider the later. The trade in value is also close to our above MSRP selling privately on used CTRS. I don't mind the mark up on these cars but to a point. Anything more than $5,000 over is too much

      @@GridZilla I get it there keeping the demand there but you would think business. If there's demand build more it's damn Civic not Ferrari let the people enjoy them. I've walked out of many dealerships wanting 5k, 10k, 20k I'll never pay over. Then when I ask who gets that money there faces are priceless 😂

      Chris Smith I literally got 4.5 grand off here in Canada ... why are they quoting higher than msrp?

    • @GridZilla
      @GridZilla  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seb Lim demand is much higher in nicer weather areas ie California. Back east and central us you can find a CTR for MSRP without too much effort

      X Smith thanks for the concern. OEM is great for oem level power and steer use. Not so good for track and higher power inputs. It’s ironic because in the CTR community I belong to I see many more Stock cars with issues that I have corrected in my car than I have with the modded CTRs using the same stuff I am 🤷🏽‍♂️
