Clear can be blended. Blend Dupont 222s or similar adhesion promoter past the scuff marks, don't clear past the adhesion promoter, lite buff and if done right will last as long as the original paint job.
I think you've taught me more than the bodyshop i worked in. Thanks a lot. Almost done restoring my '94 service ram. Using cans (dupli color) but still coming out ok. Seems like my clear is too thin though. Awesome videos!
Fantastic video. I just bought the Eastwood Concours spray gun. I noticed a half dollar flake missing on my wife's Nissan sentra the other day and was wondering how to fix it.
Would this be the same principle on painting a clear coat over old paint that has never been clear coated. Painted some fenders for my truck about a year ago, but never clear coated them. They've been in storage wrapped in plastic in a box. Paint has a rough texture to it. Any advise on how to start the clearing process would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
How well does Eastwood paint hold up to UV? I live in AZ, 110 degree weather easy. We're at 95 in spring. Following all steps in paintucation, all Eastwood products from epoxy to clear. Base coat clear coat system. How well does it actually hold? Have any test been done? I've been itching for an economic paint system, but my climate is killer. I have a 69 Chevy C10 and I'm considering giving a shot. Or any kind of warranty offered? Any info or links would be appreciated Eastwood Company Thanks in advance.
I dripped clear on final coat on a tailgate. Right under handle area is several drips varying from small coin size to large. I am wondering how to fix.
My problem is that the clear coat has been hit by rocks and broken thru to the the paint. I have several spots on the hood that need to re-cleared. So what's the best approach to repairing that type of issue on a 2004 BMW 325i with Helrot 438 base paint? Do I need to re-coat the entire hood? Or just address the spots? Are there waxes or polishes that will prevent further damage to the clear coat due to water getting under it? Thanks for the video too.
Hi, I got a rust on GMC Yukon front hood black color, I try to wet sand it with 1500 grit I got shocked that the rust is very deep and I end with color paint is gone to the base gray. What is the best solution to solve the problem by my own DIY in house? please advice steps and material to be needed.

Geez Kevin why don't u just use Motor Spray Paints you can gloss the colour off the gun then the clear coat no need to polish that's to much like hard work .BTW I think you been sniffing to much paint
***** You are truly stupid. You have no idea of the actual definition of a "troll". Congrats, you are stupid and show no signs you will ever be anything but.
***** LOL I simply gave you criticism...constructive criticism at that. Even if you think it not, you certainly should consider opinions given and given without malice nor even vulgarity. What happened is your ego got hurt and now your fighting back like a corrected child who does not want to behave because you think your video was a masterpiece. Well, go on and live the fantasy.
***** What a moron you are. So much so I haven't the time of day for you. Except I will say you are most foolish for using your real name (if you say so)......you must have a huge ego to want your name seen so badly you take chances with nutcases in the world. I am not so foolhardy.
You have great experience and talent, no doubt. However I am not interested in your "self-promotion". Give car enthusiasts factual info. That's great. But your "blah-buh-blah"... 🤔 Sorry, not interested. All you videos are this way.😑
