Failure, troubleshooting, repair, and completion of my AHP AlphaTIG 201XD welder.

TIG died, worked with AHP, did some testing, got a free driver board under warranty, installed it, back in action.

Oh man! Factory Five? Love it! My AHP is probably 7 years old and just recently started having issues with AC cleaning action. Been a decent welder.

I have the AHP Alpha Mig 250 for around 5 years, I've pushed allot of .035 & .045 wire thru it in cold and hot weather and it hasn't failed yet I still think it's a great machine and love the inductance setting also.

Nick is great and everlast/Ahp is great to deal with. I have the new 190mp and the new tig203 with cooler. I Had a problem with my 190mp right out the box, it ended up being the mig gun. But they where gonna switch out my whole machine. I got it wrapped up to send back and noticed the mig gun had a problem. They sent me instead a new better/upgraded gun no questions asked, I’m actually gonna buy the new 231 mig too.

Hey ~ Thanks for sharing your AHP experience. Mine, I think just the second generation ~ 200XP or something like that ~ got shipped back, tested, and returned at one point. They said "nothing's wrong." So Ok Ok Ok but then the digital readout "floats." I'm just ignoring that, set the middle dial at something more or less straight up and looking at the end of the stick and pool development then go from there. Too hot? Too cold? I try for "just right." Oh well, it works. For me it's grind it, weld it, grind it, paint it, forget about it. All DC negative. 😜
