- The clubbed Lynel is arguably the most difficult version of the Lynels to fight because of splash damage and spin2win. If you try to perfect dodge against it, you'll likely get hit by splash damage unless you Stasis+. Apparently, you can just do this too...

Erm, I am running the WiiU version and he does that all the time. Stand close beside him, and he'll do a spin attack eventually.

This is honestly awesome. I know a lot of people are calling it cheesey (and maybe it is), but it's cool that the game gives you so many options to explore when trying to defeat different enemies.

sorry for replying to comment over a year old, but they aint all so clean, knock down a stalmoblin and then try to throw a bomb through where his body is about to rebuild once the rebuild animation has just started, it bounces off even though he's still a pile of bones on the floor, it just deflects off the air. seen plenty other examples. but yeah, with that said, they've still put great attention to detail into it, far more than most.

cheese is doing something an unintended way that usually makes it easier or more consistent. The example of it here is staying beneath the lynel

Who knew? I did notice I could crouch under the Lynel, but I was trying to strike him as he spun around, if I would waited until he stopped spinning, I might have gotten more hits on him.
How do you prevent it from pushing you out when spinning?

Man what a hassle. Just today by accident a discovered a shrine in the snowy distance. But who was there. Not one but two lynels. Had to cower to the top of the mountain and glide over to the shrine and then the labyrinth. 😜😜😜😜😜

How is this cheesing it? Cheesing it is using urbosas fury
"Cheese" Usually implies that you are doing something that you were not meant to do (in multiplayer games, it can be things that don't typically work within the meta) in order to make something easier, or clearable with less skill. It's also usually an easily repeatable strategy. Urbosa's fury is an intended game mechanic, with limited uses and a reasonably long cooldown. Not really an exploit. If you could instantly recharge it by sitting at a campfire, then it would be cheese (I don't think you can).
This is Cheese because you are obviously not supposed to go under the lynel, even though it's fairly easy to do.
Where can I find this enemy?
go to the great plateau owa daim shrine, look south west, fly down there by the horses, then travel south. You will encounter a spear and crusher lynel on this southbound barren land.
