Tip: if you just leave the plateau and see a lynel, you could just bring it far away and break its AI then you can kill it. It work on every type of lynel. For the great plateau lynel, I would recommend this method because it is very simple and conserve your weapon durability especially when your strongest weapon is a knight claymore at that point

The first way I ever killed a Lynel was method #6. Except I was Deku Leaf golfing from way up on Zokassa Ridge where the Lynel couldn't see me. Well, except for the times that he _did...._

The first Lynel I ever encountered, I defeated with a horse. The Lynel only focuses on Link, so run around in circles to dodge its arrows and 18 in-game hours later finally submitted to Link's horse. Not a single weapon wasted.

I fought the one early on in the game when u need to get to the elephant divine beast and I did it with like only 5 hearts the sucker could one hit kill me but eventually I got to where I could dodge attack it

My favorite to defeat is the Hinox!
I killed the collesum lynel with bombs...twice....threw them from the top floor lol It's time consuming but you literally waste nothing. The s o b blows them away so you have to try for a direct or very close hit. He doesn't walk up close enough to the bomb in time for you to blast it.
Good thing i have many rupees finally something to spend on those bomb arrows will be useful

Thanks! To make a Lynel passive you need to lure it far enough away from the area that it stays in. It will try to despawn but you just need to shoot it in the eye to stop that :)

I'm trying to say this but killing your own horse isn't very fun I've done it before and literally my Delilah literally died so I brought it back and if you killed your horse you have to get an carrot just for you to bring your horse back so the last one wasn't very funny how you got your new house was awesome bye

I asked for lessons in base jumping. They led me to the practice area with bombs! Throughout the entire time, they referred to me as "Mr. Lynel" which first off, I am female, and second, I have a NAME, you know! Anyways, something went wrong with the lessons and I couldn't get back up. I later found that they had just left me??? 0/10 would not recommend.

The problem with the lazy way is that you don't get the loot. I mean why fight the Lynel and waste ancient arrows for no reward when you can just not fight it.
