You can sneak up to a Hinox's hand while it's sleeping and it'll lift you onto its stomach. From there you can simply grab the weapons around its neck and run away. I learned this just a month ago...
You can feed more than just the dogs! You can feed the sheep, cows, and goats at the stables. They eat herbs, and if multiple of them gather around, they take turns eating. It doesn't really do anything, but its cute to watch the goats and sheep act surprised before chowing down
You can make blu chuchu jelly red by putting it in a fire and turn it white by sticking it in a cold river. Just make you put it somewhere it won't float away and you won't die. XD The red and blue sell for double the amount of the normal stuff too so if you want to sell some chuchu jelly change it first.
The game tells you half of this stuff, what it doesn't tell you is that there's a thing called critical cooking. If you cook during a blood moon there is a chance that your cooked meals will give you more hearts that it would have otherwise.
- You can identify most monsters with the camera rune, even the ones hiding, like the stone talus or decayed guardians. - The Master Sword glows in the presence of malice, which, for the most part, is only inside the Divine Beasts (the bosses) and places where malice pools exist. But, if you approach a guardian, the Master Sword will glow and gain it's full power, not use energy, and it is as effective as ancient weapons for killing that type of monster. Works on every type of guardian, except the shrine ones, because they aren't under Ganon's influence. - Ancient weapons like axes and swords, and the Master Sword, are all capable of cutting guardians legs, and when you do, they get stunned for a brief period of time, allowing you to cut the other ones. This also makes a lot of spare parts when the legs are broken, and makes them basically dead, because of the damage you dealt while destroyng the legs. - Every stable has a poster with a recipe inside, most of them are for good meals, but there are elixirs as well. - Every test of strenght gets respawned when the blood moon happens, as does any weapon and enemies through out the map. These are the ones I can think of, but there is plenty more.
The game doesn't hide these but it took me a while to notice: 1. You can spin attack in the water if you'd wearing the Zora helm. Useful against those stupid octorocks but not lizards. 2. For an extremely short amount of time, you cannot use the cryonious rune. It's during the time the pillar grows plus a second. 3. You can feed domestic cows, sheep, and goats. It doesn't do anything special but its fun. You can also find Riju' s Sandseal Patricia and feed her dessert fruit for a dumb seal pun. 4. If you chop up grass and trees and fast travel somewhere and back, it automatically respawns. I used this with the Rito Stable and their hoard of logs. 5. Horses are harmed by Malice, but usually escape in time before they did. Also if your horse dies enough, the horse god charges you. 6. You can avoid bloodmoons by going into a shrine. The blood moon will return the next night though. 7. You can leave divine beasts after claiming them and can return anytime. If you go to them without fast travel they will damage you. The only exception is the lizard. It will automatically put you on the beasts.
Audree Davis The shrines aren’t the only palace where the blood moon fails to activate. If you go to Hyrule castle before a blood moon happens and wait till midnight, or when the red light disappears you can leave the castle and enemies will not respawn.
Unfortunately, recipes do literally nothing. Healing value is just double the healing value of items used, with a multiplier for number of ingredients. Buff duration and level is based on the number of ingredients giving that buff and total number of ingredients (monster parts also increase duration for elixirs but not buff level). Sale price is 2.8x the sum of the selling prices of the ingredients for a 5 ingredient dish, rounded up to the next multiple of 10. You can also "crit" when cooking (this is random but always happens in the 30 minutes before a blood moon) which randomly either heals for extra, increases buff tier by 1, or increases buff duration by 5 minutes.One Hearty ingredient cooked by itself heals more than the most intricate recipes will.
You kidding? I just made it to my first stable and the guy ask for a recipe. I looked everywhere and even looked at the picture on the wall but I couldn’t interact with it or read it so I moved on.
I like to think monsters know you're not really one of them, but they're just trying to play along. Kind of like "Hey, why is that hylian wearing a bokoblin mask?" "I don't know, but just pretend you think he's a fellow bokoblin. If he attacks, kill him." "Okay."
The only one I know of that realizes you're not the same species at all is the Lynel, I believe. He kind of stand a there, spreads his feet and bows down sniffing like he does when he sees something at a distance, stands back up, roars, then you're dead lol. I can understand the others but I wonder if he maybe thinks you're some kind of baby Lynel at first haha. Then is like "Wtf? One, two...this thing is missing two legs!"
Also if you run out of stamina while paragliding or lose stamina and fall off a cliff/mountain, you are still able to use your paraglider one last time, but only for a split second. It might help you out and save you hearts if you’re falling because of your stamina.
no, temporary health doesn't work towards master sword. however there is a demon statue in one village you can use to convert your stamina into health and vice versa.
Actually, the game does tell you about Kilton. He is mentioned during the "A Shady Customer" side quest where you are tasked with finding and taking a picture of Kilton. The quest giver also mentions the fact Kilton was last spotted at skull lake. However, the quest giver does not mention the day/night cycle relating to Kilton. The quest giver is a patrolman at stable nearest to skull lake.
There's also an NPC that tells you about him and gives you Monster Extract whenever you save her from monsters. I don't remember her name, but she has green hair and can be found in a multitude of places.
Me 2. I just finished the game did not know that i can get new weapon from this Vacuum Cleaner Mobs haha or to parry the Laser. I just shot them an arrow in the eyes, so they be like confused.
@@Bosnia1291 If that's the extent of what you know... there's a lot more. And that's not a bad thing, that gives you an excuse to jump back and discover more. There's a lot of advanced tricks in the game. For example, did you know you can use Cryosis to break the ice block during Vah Ruta entry fight?
if you steal an enemy's horse, you only need to soothe it once to achieve a max bond. you also dont need to sneak up on it, just approach it as if its already yours.
@@pugmaster7757 Yeah, that's definitely not true. Almost every single time I encounter two or more enemies on horses, at least one of the horses is a 2-2-3 (3 stamina). I didn't get a max bond from soothing it only the one time after stealing it, though it is more well behaved (because they almost always have gentle-natured horses). I tried to turn a few in to see if they max-bonded but it didn't happen for me. EDIT: second half of the comment was directed at OP.
You can stun Lynels by getting a headshot with your bow and arrow, then you can mount them and get some free hits in. Also, elemental Lizalfos and get insta-killed when hit with an arrow/weapon of the opposite elements ( ex: Fire arrows will vaporize blue Lizalfos, and vice versa) Also also! Upgrade your Stasis rune. When upgraded, anything you can interact with, including enemies, materials, boulders, chest etc, will glow Yellow. It's an effective way to scan the area for enemies and hidden chests, and can be used to spot which guardians are active and which one aren't. ALSO! when you spot any of the 3 dragons, it's a little dangerous, but they will kick up a gust of wind and you can ride along side them or whatever direction they're heading with your Para-glider.
Also using lightning arrows while it's raining makes them incredibly OP, the radius of the area affected by lightning increases, great for crowd control.
You can lead a lynel to another lynel and they will fight to the death, then you just take out whichever is left, as he will be pretty heavily damaged from the fight.

But if you cook 5 meat and sell it, you'll get at least 240 rupees. Or even more if they are gourmet/prime meat, it goes up to around 500 as far as I have experienced...This is one of my methods to make money in the game :p
If it's raining outside, Link can still climb effectively if you count how many times he moves his arms to climb. Link will start sliding down after about 5-7 movements, so jumping before that will pose no issue in the rain.
Melodie Yolo vanille the stable in southern akkala and highland stable allow you to modify your horses as well. I think there’s one more, but I forgot which one
This is really cool, it is a super powerful speed-running technique. It's obvious disadvantage is that it makes you SUPER loud, even when the whistle audio isn't playing you are "whistling." This is fine, cause if you are sprinting you probably aren't trying to be stealthy, but it makes it so any mobs will hear you from much farther away.
When a lynel bucks you off its back, you can get a few guaranteed headshots with a bow. You also get 5 guaranteed hits while on a lynels back, and your weapon does not lose durability when attacking on a lynels back. If you set a spicy pepper on fire, it will create an instant updraft. Only 1 neccesary. Guardians are stunned when you cut off their legs, so cut off a leg, attack some, then cut off another whenever they get out of the stun.
One more trick. The time freeze tablet effect works on guardians. Chop at them, then as their laser is about to go off, stun them, and wail away some more. Or just use that brief window to shoot an ancient arrow into the eye piece.
You can twirl any spear-type weapon above your head while on horseback. Just equip a spear on horseback and hold down the Y button. Releasing the button attacks the closest enemy.
- You can ride and tame skeleton horses! Sadly they go through an unpleasant death at sunrise. Try boarding them for a fun reaction - You can power a boat by using magnisis with metal objects against the mast (goes fast!)
Get on a raft. Get a big metal object. Sword will do, but a treasure chart works very nicely. Then using magnesis, push the metal object against the mast in the direction you want to go. It can be tricky to keep it steady, but if you pin the metal object to the floor and wedge it between the mast and your body, then you'll be speeding in no time. Imagine this with oktobaloons thrown it! Although if flying, you'd definitely struggle to keep objects on the raft, could be fun to try
Yeah, some of these are hints on the loading screen. The dogs one and the riding your shield one pooped up. Some of them I found through talking with people.
You can get as many arrows as you want with wooden shields. 😊 If in a monster camp kill everyone else exept for one arrow shooting monstie. Stand as close to him as possible while defending with the shield. When your shield gets hit 1-3 times then unshield, you get 3 arrows at once then repeat until the shield breaks and change to a new one.
Nah the best arrow hack is going to go to evemtide island theres a chest there save open the chest then save and load the save that you had after opening the chest, rinse and repeat, it doesnt use bows either
It's guaranteed to be wielded by a Black Moblin in the Hyrule Castle Dining Hall. The monster in question will always be found in the same spot after every Blood Moon.
John Doe even easier to find right inside Hyrule Castle: the secret passage in the library that leads to a mining area of sorts. It always has a Stone Smasher in it. The cool part about it is that there's a Shrine right near the Library. Really easy to go from the Shrine to grabbing a brand new Stone Smasher.
It doesnt seem to work for the shock arrows around the lynel at the zora's domain though, but thats kinda different. still, it will remain a red lynel through the all game (and ennemies respawn), so its the weakest and easiest one, and it can randomly drop around 10, 20 shock arrows if you kill it.
Beam parrying depends on distance. Use the 'when you see/hear the beam' at a long range and you will parry too soon and then get blasted. You need to practice at all distances.
I was thinking about the fast travel of this game. It's absolutly perfect, it's justified. Not like the other games, that you just teleport, or you have to drive yourself to some point and this point give you the ability to teleport. Sheikah Slate gave the teleportation power to Link, and that is it. Pretty cool in my opinion.
I feel like I don't run into a lot of these things because I literally talk to every NPC and aimlessly explore, the games so gorgeous. Like the octorock thing I was just taking a stroll around death mountain and there's an area that specifically has a bunch of rusty weapons and two lanterns marking their spot and a single octorock in the middle of lava. I figured it was too fishy to not have a purpose so I threw a rusty sword and voila. I see a lot of people trying to get things early and find exploits when if you just play the game and talk to NPCs you will find out everything you need to know
Yh unfortunately I was one of those people that wanted to know as much as possible very early on when I didn’t need to and it would have been more fun and rewarding to find stuff out for myself.
“even after the fifty-hours mark” bruh i’m past 140h and i didn’t even complete all 4 colossus. i’m having too much fun😂 edit: people commenting they completed the game in a few hours really missed out on all the fun. it’s not a race on who’s completing it faster, all the contrary. why do you even play this game if you don’t enjoy exploring🤣
One thing I wish I knew before Divine Beast Vah Ruta: You can use Cyronis to destroy the ice blocks that the Divine Beast and Waterblight Ganon make during the fight...
TerpGaming Terp i was very much surprised to fond a video of ENTERING and USING a guardian to fire away at enemies. goddammit... what is not possible in this game. ;) wait, eh... a fang of each dragon and a giant ancient core cooked together make a guardian key. sneak up to one between two legs and react to the prompt. voila.
There's a giant horse that you can tame and register at a stable. Its on the west side of the Faron region in the North side of a canyon (two Linels are blocking the south side of the canyon). Once you get a saddle on it it looks just like the horse phantom Ganon rides in Ocarina of time. It's huge and surrounded by regular horses.
also,i tame one regular random horse in the same zone has the giant horse,and,surprisingly,it is the best horse i have,its like the White horse of zelda,but with more speed
@@miguelcabreracastro6968 If you go to (i think) Hebra tower and then paraglide over the canyon to the land that juts out slightly, the horses there are the fastest and strongest. There's one with the same strength as the giant horse.

Tip for parrying the guardian stalkers every single time: (the distance between you and the stalker is key)when you approach the stalker, it moves closer or farther depending on wether you try to get closer or farther. Just stop moving and it stops moving, I found this to be the perfect distance for parrying their beams. Now all you have to do is wait for the guarding to start charging its beam and at some point its eye will turn white before shooting the beam, the moment it turns white hit the A button to parry and you will succeed every single time. This works with the rusted guradians too if you move in for the correct distance. Your welcome!
Julian Laureano even with all of the stables, I barely use them. My first horse got stuck on a bridge and some monsters killed it, after that I wasn't so keen + with all of the towers, I just teleport and the glide.
Same, the horses just become inconvenient due to only having one out at any time, and needing to summon one at a stable. That and unlike Skyrim the horses cant defy physics (mostly.) so your better off just legging it up and down mountains. And honestly when a game gives you an option between hang-gliding or horse back riding . . . I can't hear the rest of that option cause i'm busy hanging ten in the middle of the air.
Whenever I use my horse I just end up going on the paths and I feel like I'm missing a lot. Although I was just sitting watching my horse automatically follow the path while I was eating lunch so that was neat lol.
Pro tip: It is actually possible to shoot a thrown rock out of the air with an arrow. I did it earlier this afternoon while completing the Trial of the Sword. A bokoblin threw a rock at me and I was shooting an arrow at the same time. They collided in mid-air and bounced away. I suppose for a moment before they land and disappear, the rocks thrown are real and have physics.
Well pretty sure if you time it right, you can also parry rocks thrown at you. Talus size might be too big, or you know, too explosive, hot or cold. Regular arrows can get lodged in wooden shields and putting it away will give you all the arrows that got stuck on it.
You can also stasis rocks/barrels before they get thrown, bokos look around confused and then it falls on them, even more useful if they’re throwing an explosive cask.

on the mystery island if you stand in the water you dont trigger the challenge and can drop all your weapons you want to use, but be warned if you complete the challenge with out dropping the weapons you want to keep you will loose them all
I just ate a meal that gave me a high level defense buff for 30 minutes just before landing on the island. The buff still carried over, so everything wasn't much of a threat.
There are easy ways to improve the dishes you cook by quite a lot: - cook during a blood moon - add a dragon part - or add a star fragment Can get you much longer on effects, an extra stamina wheel, and I think a few hearts too depending what you’re cooking (ofc)
Horses can survive any fall if you shoot them with a shock arrow at the right time! My horse survived a (purposeful) fall from the Tabantha Great Bridge into Tanagar Canyon!
If you try to roast chili peppers, they make an updraft and go flying and it cracks me up every time Also, if you hit a guardian directly in the eye with an ancient arrow, regardless of the bow, you’ll kill it instantly and still get all that sweet sweet loot. They’ve become a source of money for me 😂
after replaying the game, I''ve been farming ancient cores for Purah for like 4 days total and this was helpful, but I couldn't find a way to consistently get ancient arrows. First time I played the game I just visited the shrines, used the statue on the great plateau, got a bunch of hearts and stamina and went and beat Ganon, so I missed like half the game ;-;
I remember I think a rito kid telling you an easier way to get fish, was to “dive bomb” it. I’m pretty sure they meant it as diving for the fish ourselves but I took it as throwing the bombs. Gets you a lot of fish. Also, you can get plenty of fish at the river where you have to follow this one zora’s love letter. The current there is strong and the fish there swim in the opposite direction of the current, so they just freeze on the spot.
The horses will automatically follow the roads if you have a max bond with them. They can either trot or gallop. This is a great way to reach new towns and stuff.
Max bond: pet horse for jumping, sprinting when the stamina comes back, or attacking enemy. You can use the camera to stir the horse onto the path you want. Just point the camera at the path
Please note that Kilton also sells the AWESOME Dark Link outfit, helm is 1,999, armor/legs for 999 each, but you need to complete all four Divine Beasts in order for his to start to sell them,
Dillon Vaughan if u cook 2 big hearty radishes and 2 normal sized hearty radishes plus a non effect boosting meat or Hyrule herb u can get a Full recovery and + extra 16 hearts
Hearty Durians are kind of rare though. Looking for a good supply? There's a patch of trees on the southeast flank of Satori Mountain, directly east of Mogg Latan Shrine, where five durian trees stand bearing two Hearty Durians each. Don't know how often they respawn though.
Sneak up on them a best you can, crouch, and maybe some pots if you're bad at this lol, and once you're near the command "A - Mount" will appear, press it and Link will mount the horse, and the horse will FREAK THE FUCK OUT. MASH L like a MOFO and it'll tame the SHIT outta that horse. While you ride him, the horse will NOT like you still. You have to keep taming it and form a bond with him. L is a SOOTHE button. Whenever the horse pulls away from the direction you want to take him, or whinny or jerk suddenly, hit L. It'll soothe the horse and a pink sparkle will indicate you've tamed him a bit more. After a couple of these, the horse will eventually love you and will never pull away again. You can also unmount him, and stand near him holding apples. He'll eat them outta your arms! When you find a stable, you will be able to register him and make him completely yours! After that, you can press down on the D pad to call him when he's nearby (Within logical listening distance. he'll show up on your radar, and if he's not on sight in it, he won't be able to hear you and come over!) Hope this helps and have fun! ALSO!!! Be careful! Taking your horse around cliffs could result in him taking a nasty fall and die!! Same goes for getting him injured in battle!! IF your partner dies, you can ressurect him for free at the Horse-Fairy Fountain!!!
Tipp: When you cut high grass, sometimes the grass will drop a fairy. when u have one in your pocket, and you lose all your heath in a fight, this fairy will automatically restore your life!
Best way to beat a Lynel is close combat. Do not, I repeat, do not try to assassinate it from afar. They seem to have heat-seeking arrows that can even go through walls and kill you, even if the Lynel can't see you. Your best bet is to dodge his attack, don't bother shield bashing, and spam the furry attack. This works great on the colloseum Lynel, as it has an arena terrain that is not easily tripped on.
Earlier in the game, you have to burn through a lot of weapons to kill a Lynel though. Shoot its face, mount, get the free 5 hits, and repeat until dead.
This week I was in a shrine, I forget the name, but when I entered the second part there were spiked balls dangling from the ceiling rafters. When I first looked at the puzzle it was obvious that I should magnetize the spiked maces and use their momentum to swing them and then proceed to time my running in between them. When I was playing around with the magnet I realized I could 'knot' them up in the rafters and make walking through a breeze. Maybe not the original idea for the puzzle, but definitely a way to use the enviornment to my advantage. :)
that's the shrine on top of Satori Mountain! i hate that one because of the swings in the beginning (i'm afraid of heights). But that's a great way to do it!
Or, to get a little more creative... Use a Octorok organ on a Bomb. Attach it. Use the Leaf to blow it over an enemy encampment. Then shoot the bomb down with an arrow. Viola! Nuke all the enemies. Try aiming for a red barrel!
You can skip a blood moon by going to Hyrule's castle and to a shrine. Note: The blood moon is only delayed for one night and will appear again the next night
The Monster Extract that Kilton sells randomly sets the buff duration of a consumable to 1, 5, 10, or 30!!!! minutes, and also has about a 50% chance to decrease the level of the buff to level 1. But it's still an incredibly cheap and effective way to make 30 minute tier 3 speed buff items (four speed food items plus extract) if you can't afford to give up a dragon horn shard (3 speed food items or critters, one speed critter, and a horn shard always makes a 30 minute elixir). Once you start using these, you will never want to stop.
Ever notice how slow Link runs on sand in the Gerudo desert? I found a "glitch" that lets you move faster without elixirs or special equipment...just take out your scope...your movement speed will immediately increase as if you were running on regular ground
It’s supposed to be like that, makes it more realistic. And shield surfing sounds a lot better than that, I’m sorry but... c’mon... who doesn’t want to ride a snowboard on sand?
The only reason I'm not upset I'm such a late bloomer to getting the game (I JUST got it over this last weekend) is now there's all these videos out with tips and tricks and hints I get to watch as I start my journey and really help me obtain everything and not miss out on anything!

The blue jelly's description tells you this. Nothing new.
You can make blu chuchu jelly red by putting it in a fire and turn it white by sticking it in a cold river. Just make you put it somewhere it won't float away and you won't die. XD The red and blue sell for double the amount of the normal stuff too so if you want to sell some chuchu jelly change it first.
Nyxeon You could also do the easier thing and slash blue jellies with an elemental weapon to turn it that type.
The game tells you half of this stuff, what it doesn't tell you is that there's a thing called critical cooking. If you cook during a blood moon there is a chance that your cooked meals will give you more hearts that it would have otherwise.

It does tell you. In Gerudo town there's a room where they hold a cooking class every evening and in one of the two books there it's written down.

- You can identify most monsters with the camera rune, even the ones hiding, like the stone talus or decayed guardians.
- The Master Sword glows in the presence of malice, which, for the most part, is only inside the Divine Beasts (the bosses) and places where malice pools exist. But, if you approach a guardian, the Master Sword will glow and gain it's full power, not use energy, and it is as effective as ancient weapons for killing that type of monster. Works on every type of guardian, except the shrine ones, because they aren't under Ganon's influence.
- Ancient weapons like axes and swords, and the Master Sword, are all capable of cutting guardians legs, and when you do, they get stunned for a brief period of time, allowing you to cut the other ones. This also makes a lot of spare parts when the legs are broken, and makes them basically dead, because of the damage you dealt while destroyng the legs.
- Every stable has a poster with a recipe inside, most of them are for good meals, but there are elixirs as well.
- Every test of strenght gets respawned when the blood moon happens, as does any weapon and enemies through out the map.
These are the ones I can think of, but there is plenty more.
The game doesn't hide these but it took me a while to notice:
1. You can spin attack in the water if you'd wearing the Zora helm. Useful against those stupid octorocks but not lizards.
2. For an extremely short amount of time, you cannot use the cryonious rune. It's during the time the pillar grows plus a second.
3. You can feed domestic cows, sheep, and goats. It doesn't do anything special but its fun. You can also find Riju' s Sandseal Patricia and feed her dessert fruit for a dumb seal pun.
4. If you chop up grass and trees and fast travel somewhere and back, it automatically respawns. I used this with the Rito Stable and their hoard of logs.
5. Horses are harmed by Malice, but usually escape in time before they did. Also if your horse dies enough, the horse god charges you.
6. You can avoid bloodmoons by going into a shrine. The blood moon will return the next night though.
7. You can leave divine beasts after claiming them and can return anytime. If you go to them without fast travel they will damage you. The only exception is the lizard. It will automatically put you on the beasts.
For the camera part, the upgrade of stasis works better for me. Then it clearly highlights the enemy.

Audree Davis The shrines aren’t the only palace where the blood moon fails to activate. If you go to Hyrule castle before a blood moon happens and wait till midnight, or when the red light disappears you can leave the castle and enemies will not respawn.

There are recipes on the walls of stables.
Unfortunately, recipes do literally nothing. Healing value is just double the healing value of items used, with a multiplier for number of ingredients. Buff duration and level is based on the number of ingredients giving that buff and total number of ingredients (monster parts also increase duration for elixirs but not buff level). Sale price is 2.8x the sum of the selling prices of the ingredients for a 5 ingredient dish, rounded up to the next multiple of 10. You can also "crit" when cooking (this is random but always happens in the 30 minutes before a blood moon) which randomly either heals for extra, increases buff tier by 1, or increases buff duration by 5 minutes.One Hearty ingredient cooked by itself heals more than the most intricate recipes will.
you can take non hearty ingredients like the salmon dish and get awesome food.. its useful until you find the durran tree farm.

The only one I know of that realizes you're not the same species at all is the Lynel, I believe. He kind of stand a there, spreads his feet and bows down sniffing like he does when he sees something at a distance, stands back up, roars, then you're dead lol. I can understand the others but I wonder if he maybe thinks you're some kind of baby Lynel at first haha. Then is like "Wtf? One, two...this thing is missing two legs!"

I'm pretty early on in the game, does anyone else think that Lynels are mostly bark and no bite? They're pretty easy, to be honest.
Also if you run out of stamina while paragliding or lose stamina and fall off a cliff/mountain, you are still able to use your paraglider one last time, but only for a split second. It might help you out and save you hearts if you’re falling because of your stamina.

no, temporary health doesn't work towards master sword. however there is a demon statue in one village you can use to convert your stamina into health and vice versa.
And if u cook 5 hearty durians, u'll have 20 extra hearts.

Actually, the game does tell you about Kilton. He is mentioned during the "A Shady Customer" side quest where you are tasked with finding and taking a picture of Kilton. The quest giver also mentions the fact Kilton was last spotted at skull lake. However, the quest giver does not mention the day/night cycle relating to Kilton. The quest giver is a patrolman at stable nearest to skull lake.
Lots of small characters mention him too
There's also an NPC that tells you about him and gives you Monster Extract whenever you save her from monsters. I don't remember her name, but she has green hair and can be found in a multitude of places.
Finding out that elemental weapons change your temperature was genuinely one of my favorite gaming moments in recent memory.

@@pugmaster7757 Yeah, that's definitely not true. Almost every single time I encounter two or more enemies on horses, at least one of the horses is a 2-2-3 (3 stamina).
I didn't get a max bond from soothing it only the one time after stealing it, though it is more well behaved (because they almost always have gentle-natured horses). I tried to turn a few in to see if they max-bonded but it didn't happen for me.

You can stun Lynels by getting a headshot with your bow and arrow, then you can mount them and get some free hits in.
Also, elemental Lizalfos and get insta-killed when hit with an arrow/weapon of the opposite elements ( ex: Fire arrows will vaporize blue Lizalfos, and vice versa)
Also also! Upgrade your Stasis rune. When upgraded, anything you can interact with, including enemies, materials, boulders, chest etc, will glow Yellow. It's an effective way to scan the area for enemies and hidden chests, and can be used to spot which guardians are active and which one aren't.
ALSO! when you spot any of the 3 dragons, it's a little dangerous, but they will kick up a gust of wind and you can ride along side them or whatever direction they're heading with your Para-glider.
What about electric Lizalfos? What works well against them?

Also using lightning arrows while it's raining makes them incredibly OP, the radius of the area affected by lightning increases, great for crowd control.

If it's raining outside, Link can still climb effectively if you count how many times he moves his arms to climb. Link will start sliding down after about 5-7 movements, so jumping before that will pose no issue in the rain.
Canni isn't the only stablehand who will allow you to customize your horse. There are several in various stables that will allow you to.

This is really cool, it is a super powerful speed-running technique. It's obvious disadvantage is that it makes you SUPER loud, even when the whistle audio isn't playing you are "whistling." This is fine, cause if you are sprinting you probably aren't trying to be stealthy, but it makes it so any mobs will hear you from much farther away.
When a lynel bucks you off its back, you can get a few guaranteed headshots with a bow. You also get 5 guaranteed hits while on a lynels back, and your weapon does not lose durability when attacking on a lynels back. If you set a spicy pepper on fire, it will create an instant updraft. Only 1 neccesary. Guardians are stunned when you cut off their legs, so cut off a leg, attack some, then cut off another whenever they get out of the stun.

One more trick. The time freeze tablet effect works on guardians. Chop at them, then as their laser is about to go off, stun them, and wail away some more.
Or just use that brief window to shoot an ancient arrow into the eye piece.
My weapon just broke attacking on a Lynel's back so I'm pretty sure you do lose durability.

You can twirl any spear-type weapon above your head while on horseback. Just equip a spear on horseback and hold down the Y button. Releasing the button attacks the closest enemy.
- You can ride and tame skeleton horses! Sadly they go through an unpleasant death at sunrise. Try boarding them for a fun reaction
- You can power a boat by using magnisis with metal objects against the mast (goes fast!)

Get on a raft. Get a big metal object. Sword will do, but a treasure chart works very nicely. Then using magnesis, push the metal object against the mast in the direction you want to go. It can be tricky to keep it steady, but if you pin the metal object to the floor and wedge it between the mast and your body, then you'll be speeding in no time. Imagine this with oktobaloons thrown it! Although if flying, you'd definitely struggle to keep objects on the raft, could be fun to try
Actually, if you look at a comparison between the two methods, the Magnesis boat method is much, much faster.
But can't you just stasis the boat and hit it in the direction you want with balloons on it?

If you cut off the legs of a guardian first, you get more loot. Cutting one off stops the beam as well so it becomes quite easy to kill them!

You can get as many arrows as you want with wooden shields. 😊 If in a monster camp kill everyone else exept for one arrow shooting monstie. Stand as close to him as possible while defending with the shield. When your shield gets hit 1-3 times then unshield, you get 3 arrows at once then repeat until the shield breaks and change to a new one.
Or take a bow that fires multiple arrows and shoot them at the fire post at the entrance to the lost woods and you will max out quickly

You don’t need that quest.
if you find a random weapon you like not in a chest, mark it because it will respawn in the world making it so you can get it again.

It's guaranteed to be wielded by a Black Moblin in the Hyrule Castle Dining Hall. The monster in question will always be found in the same spot after every Blood Moon.
John Doe even easier to find right inside Hyrule Castle: the secret passage in the library that leads to a mining area of sorts. It always has a Stone Smasher in it.
The cool part about it is that there's a Shrine right near the Library. Really easy to go from the Shrine to grabbing a brand new Stone Smasher.
A Royal Claymore (52 damage) always spawns atop the stone skull that covers Woodland Tower.
It doesnt seem to work for the shock arrows around the lynel at the zora's domain though, but thats kinda different.
still, it will remain a red lynel through the all game (and ennemies respawn), so its the weakest and easiest one, and it can randomly drop around 10, 20 shock arrows if you kill it.
Beam parrying depends on distance. Use the 'when you see/hear the beam' at a long range and you will parry too soon and then get blasted. You need to practice at all distances.
The best thing I’ve noticed is that you can fast travel away to safety anytime your falling to your death/drown or about to die in combat
Yess, when you're about to die and you fast travel to a town or anything, I've also noticed the enemies are frozen at their spot as well

It's absolutly perfect, it's justified.
Not like the other games, that you just teleport, or you have to drive yourself to some point and this point give you the ability to teleport.
Sheikah Slate gave the teleportation power to Link, and that is it. Pretty cool in my opinion.

I feel like I don't run into a lot of these things because I literally talk to every NPC and aimlessly explore, the games so gorgeous. Like the octorock thing I was just taking a stroll around death mountain and there's an area that specifically has a bunch of rusty weapons and two lanterns marking their spot and a single octorock in the middle of lava. I figured it was too fishy to not have a purpose so I threw a rusty sword and voila. I see a lot of people trying to get things early and find exploits when if you just play the game and talk to NPCs you will find out everything you need to know
And that's exactly how this game is designed. It teaches players by having them play the game.
Yh unfortunately I was one of those people that wanted to know as much as possible very early on when I didn’t need to and it would have been more fun and rewarding to find stuff out for myself.

There's a giant horse that you can tame and register at a stable. Its on the west side of the Faron region in the North side of a canyon (two Linels are blocking the south side of the canyon). Once you get a saddle on it it looks just like the horse phantom Ganon rides in Ocarina of time. It's huge and surrounded by regular horses.
there is a quest to tame that horse. the guy who gives it to you is on the way to that area from the SE side just where the road ends.
also,i tame one regular random horse in the same zone has the giant horse,and,surprisingly,it is the best horse i have,its like the White horse of zelda,but with more speed

@@miguelcabreracastro6968 If you go to (i think) Hebra tower and then paraglide over the canyon to the land that juts out slightly, the horses there are the fastest and strongest. There's one with the same strength as the giant horse.

Tip for parrying the guardian stalkers every single time: (the distance between you and the stalker is key)when you approach the stalker, it moves closer or farther depending on wether you try to get closer or farther. Just stop moving and it stops moving, I found this to be the perfect distance for parrying their beams. Now all you have to do is wait for the guarding to start charging its beam and at some point its eye will turn white before shooting the beam, the moment it turns white hit the A button to parry and you will succeed every single time. not sure why but I don't use my horse much.
If I didn't have to go to a stable to grab one every time I would, but I think the horse cuts down on how much I explore so I rarely use it.
Julian Laureano even with all of the stables, I barely use them. My first horse got stuck on a bridge and some monsters killed it, after that I wasn't so keen + with all of the towers, I just teleport and the glide.
yea I prefer mountain climbing and gliding to horse travel, this is why Nintendo called the game an "open air" title.
Same, the horses just become inconvenient due to only having one out at any time, and needing to summon one at a stable. That and unlike Skyrim the horses cant defy physics (mostly.) so your better off just legging it up and down mountains.
And honestly when a game gives you an option between hang-gliding or horse back riding . . . I can't hear the rest of that option cause i'm busy hanging ten in the middle of the air.
Whenever I use my horse I just end up going on the paths and I feel like I'm missing a lot.
Although I was just sitting watching my horse automatically follow the path while I was eating lunch so that was neat lol.
Pro tip: It is actually possible to shoot a thrown rock out of the air with an arrow. I did it earlier this afternoon while completing the Trial of the Sword. A bokoblin threw a rock at me and I was shooting an arrow at the same time. They collided in mid-air and bounced away. I suppose for a moment before they land and disappear, the rocks thrown are real and have physics.

Well pretty sure if you time it right, you can also parry rocks thrown at you. Talus size might be too big, or you know, too explosive, hot or cold. Regular arrows can get lodged in wooden shields and putting it away will give you all the arrows that got stuck on it.

You can also stasis rocks/barrels before they get thrown, bokos look around confused and then it falls on them, even more useful if they’re throwing an explosive cask.
That gets me thinking. Can you put a talis rock in stasis and launch it back at the talus? Holy fuck.

on the mystery island if you stand in the water you dont trigger the challenge and can drop all your weapons you want to use, but be warned if you complete the challenge with out dropping the weapons you want to keep you will loose them all
I just ate a meal that gave me a high level defense buff for 30 minutes just before landing on the island. The buff still carried over, so everything wasn't much of a threat.

There are easy ways to improve the dishes you cook by quite a lot:
- cook during a blood moon
- add a dragon part
- or add a star fragment
Can get you much longer on effects, an extra stamina wheel, and I think a few hearts too depending what you’re cooking (ofc)
But you don't have to rely on Blood Moons if you learn the cooking mechanics.

Horses can survive any fall if you shoot them with a shock arrow at the right time! My horse survived a (purposeful) fall from the Tabantha Great Bridge into Tanagar Canyon!

Also, if you hit a guardian directly in the eye with an ancient arrow, regardless of the bow, you’ll kill it instantly and still get all that sweet sweet loot. They’ve become a source of money for me 😂
after replaying the game, I''ve been farming ancient cores for Purah for like 4 days total and this was helpful, but I couldn't find a way to consistently get ancient arrows. First time I played the game I just visited the shrines, used the statue on the great plateau, got a bunch of hearts and stamina and went and beat Ganon, so I missed like half the game ;-;

I remember I think a rito kid telling you an easier way to get fish, was to “dive bomb” it. I’m pretty sure they meant it as diving for the fish ourselves but I took it as throwing the bombs. Gets you a lot of fish.
Also, you can get plenty of fish at the river where you have to follow this one zora’s love letter. The current there is strong and the fish there swim in the opposite direction of the current, so they just freeze on the spot.

The horses will automatically follow the roads if you have a max bond with them. They can either trot or gallop. This is a great way to reach new towns and stuff.
how i get a max bond?
You have to tame a horse until the pink gauge is completely filled and it says "MAX". You can see it when you want to register your horse in a stable.
For max bond i just pet my horse everytime i just jumped on her. Or right after a sprint

You can use the camera to stir the horse onto the path you want. Just point the camera at the path

You can use Daruk's Protection when there are more than one guardians targeting you and the blasts bounce back to them.

Unfortunately, you can't upgrade the Dark Link set. I'd use it more if I was able to upgrade it.
If you cook ONE Hearty durian you will get a meal that gives you full health + 4 hearts
Dillon Vaughan if u cook 2 big hearty radishes and 2 normal sized hearty radishes plus a non effect boosting meat or Hyrule herb u can get a Full recovery and + extra 16 hearts
And if you cook with two you get full recovery plus eight hearts! Cool with three you can get +16 hearts!
Any hearthy food will give you full health and additional hearts if you cook it...
That works for anything hearty...
Hearty Durians are kind of rare though. Looking for a good supply? There's a patch of trees on the southeast flank of Satori Mountain, directly east of Mogg Latan Shrine, where five durian trees stand bearing two Hearty Durians each. Don't know how often they respawn though.
actually some of these things are said in the tips screen when youre loading and kilton is talked about SO MUCH when you get to North Alakka.

how i do it?
Sneak up on them a best you can, crouch, and maybe some pots if you're bad at this lol, and once you're near the command "A - Mount" will appear, press it and Link will mount the horse, and the horse will FREAK THE FUCK OUT. MASH L like a MOFO and it'll tame the SHIT outta that horse.
While you ride him, the horse will NOT like you still. You have to keep taming it and form a bond with him. L is a SOOTHE button. Whenever the horse pulls away from the direction you want to take him, or whinny or jerk suddenly, hit L. It'll soothe the horse and a pink sparkle will indicate you've tamed him a bit more.
After a couple of these, the horse will eventually love you and will never pull away again. You can also unmount him, and stand near him holding apples. He'll eat them outta your arms!
When you find a stable, you will be able to register him and make him completely yours! After that, you can press down on the D pad to call him when he's nearby (Within logical listening distance. he'll show up on your radar, and if he's not on sight in it, he won't be able to hear you and come over!) Hope this helps and have fun!
ALSO!!! Be careful! Taking your horse around cliffs could result in him taking a nasty fall and die!! Same goes for getting him injured in battle!! IF your partner dies, you can ressurect him for free at the Horse-Fairy Fountain!!!

Tipp: When you cut high grass, sometimes the grass will drop a fairy. when u have one in your pocket, and you lose all your heath in a fight, this fairy will automatically restore your life!
You can also grab fairies at the Great Fairy Fountain near Kakariko village :)

Best way to beat a Lynel is close combat. Do not, I repeat, do not try to assassinate it from afar. They seem to have heat-seeking arrows that can even go through walls and kill you, even if the Lynel can't see you. Your best bet is to dodge his attack, don't bother shield bashing, and spam the furry attack. This works great on the colloseum Lynel, as it has an arena terrain that is not easily tripped on.
Otaku Obsession use guardian arrows which is a 1 shot kill
that takes away the point though. You kill a lynel for the drops, but ancient arrows don't let the enemy drop anything.
Earlier in the game, you have to burn through a lot of weapons to kill a Lynel though. Shoot its face, mount, get the free 5 hits, and repeat until dead.
For me the shield parry flurry rush are actually good just dodging isnt exaclty your best bet until youre well trained enough
Another way is to shoot arrows at its face when we have the time to then go near it and mount on it and attack. Then repeat until it dies
This week I was in a shrine, I forget the name, but when I entered the second part there were spiked balls dangling from the ceiling rafters. When I first looked at the puzzle it was obvious that I should magnetize the spiked maces and use their momentum to swing them and then proceed to time my running in between them. When I was playing around with the magnet I realized I could 'knot' them up in the rafters and make walking through a breeze. Maybe not the original idea for the puzzle, but definitely a way to use the enviornment to my advantage. :)

that's the shrine on top of Satori Mountain! i hate that one because of the swings in the beginning (i'm afraid of heights). But that's a great way to do it!
You can also drop a bomb and propel it far away with a korok leaf. It can help to hit Molduga bosses for example.
Or, to get a little more creative...
Use a Octorok organ on a Bomb.
Attach it.
Use the Leaf to blow it over an enemy encampment.
Then shoot the bomb down with an arrow.
Viola!
Nuke all the enemies.
Try aiming for a red barrel!

You can skip a blood moon by going to Hyrule's castle and to a shrine.
Note: The blood moon is only delayed for one night and will appear again the next night
you can skip it by going to any shrine!! it's p cool
The Monster Extract that Kilton sells randomly sets the buff duration of a consumable to 1, 5, 10, or 30!!!! minutes, and also has about a 50% chance to decrease the level of the buff to level 1. But it's still an incredibly cheap and effective way to make 30 minute tier 3 speed buff items (four speed food items plus extract) if you can't afford to give up a dragon horn shard (3 speed food items or critters, one speed critter, and a horn shard always makes a 30 minute elixir). Once you start using these, you will never want to stop.

Ever notice how slow Link runs on sand in the Gerudo desert? I found a "glitch" that lets you move faster without elixirs or special equipment...just take out your scope...your movement speed will immediately increase as if you were running on regular ground
