@@MathewTheBest thank you so much!So I have the elgato and PS5 adapter already set up with the PS5 and pc,my Astro A40’s and mixamp comes back tomorrow,so I would just put the optical port in the mixamp to the adapter Correct? So I can hear all PS5 audio and pc audio like spotify,SoundCloud, stream alerts etc..
I have everything setup but while I’m streaming there’s a really loud buzz like noise that only the stream can hear,I can’t hear it in my headset.Any suggestions?
@@non-typicalgaming3933 u find a fix
@@Kenny-up1ne yes,you switch to hdmi audio then you’ll hear the buzz, then change it to the other option and it’ll work correctly
Sorry for my bad english :D I didn't understand in 100%. How you pluged in now ps5 - PC- and astro ?? You told the optical cable to astro from console but ps5 didnt have optical output. Then i must buy this audio splitter from astro ?? And what you got pluged to AUX on Mixamp ?? Thanks for answer.
Correct! The the adaptor allows you to plug in the optical cable that would normally go from the astro mixamp to the playstation. The Aux cable goes from the mixamp to your computer and the usb cable goes from the back of your mixamp to your ps5. The headphones plug in from the front of your mixamp. Hope this helps
@@MathewTheBest Ohh i understand. Lately i think myself . I got optic to ps4 and usb to PC what if i plug USB to ps5 and audio from PC to Mixamp. And i have my answer :D I'm streaming a lot then i bougt mix amp to have both audio source. THX Bro for quick response :D Greets.
PS. Sound from PS5 its surround ?? How its sounds from Call of duty etc ??
i use the astro a50 with the astro hdmi adapter works fine for me.
What about xlr mics
Thank you dude ! Big help !
I think your diagram on the chat link solution is OFF bro. I think the idea is that it feeds audio to the headphones AND to the Capture card that’s missing Audio which was blocked to receive (because the console initially only allowed One audio pass through path)
I have a problem with the audio while streaming. I am trying to start a live stream directly from the PS5. In addition, I have my laptop to possibly interact with viewers. The problem I have is that the sounds from the game can be heard on the stream, but my voice is not. I've tried everything, but nothing works. Does anyone know what to do here?
Same issue here... game audio is fine, but silent on the mic
Can you run PC audio as well through one headset? Im honestly thinking about giving up on streaming as a budget gamer on console.
Yes with the MixAmp you can
@@MathewTheBest thank you for the response!
@@MathewTheBest does it limit your ability to play at 120 hz/FPS? I know elgato will record at 60 but if my monitor supports it will it bottleneck the performance?
Bro I need help i have all the equipment but I don't now how to conectec to get the audio on my streaming laptop
What capture card are you using?
@@MathewTheBest I have HD60 S+
Can you use the ps5 pulse headphones for the astro Mixamp??
I believe you can use any headset that has a 3.5mm audio input
by doing the last option will i be able talk to my party & my viewers w
i’ll also hear it ?
Yes you can, you would just need an external mic that plugs into the PC so that your viewers can hear you
I was using the chat link cable with my PS4 but it's not working on the PS5. Can any one confirm it does work? Am I missing a setting.
Same here
I personally use an audio splitter to fix this issue but you're absolutely right, it STINKS that sony does not have an option for split audio in their console. Great advice by the way, thanks. @Sony get it together before we all switch to Xbox!
Can't you plug in a mic to the PS5 and talk to your party through that mic, while the rest of the audio comes out through the HDMI? Just plug your headset to the PC, yeah you need another mic but it can be any crappy mic.
Yes you can do that. Its just that you might hear delayed audio. I havent tried that out before though
@@MathewTheBest delay how? I hear it sometimes but I don't know why. Maybe you can help...
@@crocodilegamingtv1178 just the fact that the audio has to travel to your PC before getting to your headphones. I havent personally tested it to see if theres an actual delay, just my opinion
Hey man!
Can you make a video of how to setup the mixamp to ps5 and pc? 😁
Sure i can do that
@@MathewTheBest thanks man! I Will look forward to it. Hope your having a great day! 😃
is this video out??
I bought an Arctis Pro Wireless because the base station had a line out. my plan was to go line out to the elgato. i get the headphone, plug it in and find out that the line out of the base station is only active if its plugged into a PC (WTF!!!) i don't understand why these companies are making this so complicated. the technology is there to be able to do this simple thing.
Step one.. wait in queue 3 times a day for over an hour each time. You will need to do this for over a month only to find out they run out of stock each and every time. 🤷♂️
So will the astros a 50 gen 4 work wireless with there new $50 wonder box lol
No unfortunately :/ has to be wired
@@MathewTheBest I currently just started streaming on Facebook and was reviewing this video to solve audio issues before streaming however it took so long for you to reply lol that I went ahead and ordered the astro $39 Box since I already have the Astro model a fifties This completely solved my issue however the only problem I am experiencing now Is I cannot get my alert sounds Through my headset through obs so I have my alerts playing through my top monitor and just have the volume split so that my USB Mic is not picking up the alerts However my a fifties are completely wireless and no issues so far other than my alerts playing through my headset.
Well I should explain rather it did not take you Long to Respond it just took me forever before I got the notification
Just got the cable and it have buzzing sound 🤦🏾♂️
There's actually a work around for using a headset and a separate mic at the same time. I actually found that out by accident. I use my arctis 7p for my audio and yeti nano microphone to talk to my stream and friends
But are you using discord?
@@MathewTheBest No
Can you elaborate bro?
@@itsjohny19 you can now plug in 2 usbs and ps5 will detect them no workaround needed anymore.
Please explain me how you have fixed this
Thank you for the information... very helpful
No problem!!
@@MathewTheBest do you have to own astros to use the mix amp or any headphones would work?
Nvm your video literally just answered it lol
I have the SteelSeries Artis pro w/ game dac. Just got the HDMI adapter and hope that does the trick !! Tired of using this damm chat link with 20 cables going everywhere
Lmk how that goes!
Get that HD60s+ and listen to the computer audio is the only way
Not the only way
Plus the gen4 Astro mixamp has its own stream port
Good day sir im streaming from my ps5 and im new streamer and i hope you can help my voice is very soft but my gameplay is loud and don't know what to do eney more you have tips for me plz and thanks for reading have a good day
No my problem is different and there is no information on the problems i am having. My issue is my audio voice works on records that you create for your gallery but when you broadcast for TH-cam or Twitch it doesn't work. So i have to record it first and then share it to youtube, but the problem with that is a can not use my camera for broadcast because the voice won't work. I found no information on this issue anywhere
So you are streaming directly on the ps5? Or are you using the elgato software to stream?
@@MathewTheBest directly on the PS5
I wish this homie said something about how to add party chat for ps5
party chat with friends?
@@MathewTheBest yes. The chat link doesn’t work on ps5.
i dont understand this problem. i use an astro a40 and i stream. i can hear everything through my headset and the stream also picks up everything. i use a pc to stream and i use obs.
Yooo I use the same thing, can you help me out to get the audio to go through on obs? Or was there nothing special you did?
its my first time on console always been on PC , i am struggling with obs settings i am using elgato HD60s , my headphones and mic are USB connected to my PC i am done everything i could with elgato monitoring switched it to monitor and optout i lowered the volume on obs so is my headset all good while gaming but when i check the video i recorded the game is too loud even my mic is too low however on the obs meter it hits the red zone , on my console i am having the sound music & video low too , if someone could help me with a screenshot to their settings that will be highly appreciated cause i tried everything i could and saw many videos on youtube all was about how to connect elgato how to get your audio on obs but nothing for why the console's audio is high on the recorded video however it sounds good and normal while gaming
Thank you so much
hey dude i really could use your help, i have astro a40 mix pro amp, chat link cable, aux cord, pc, steamlabs, elgato hd60s+, got my entire stream all set up but i can't get my mic audio to come out on my stream or my chat audio please can you help me please!!!!!! im go check your twitch hopefully get your attention on there! if we could even diskord to troubleshoot i could cashapp you just want my stream to be ready for new season of apex tomorrow
I don't get audio even when it's going to the display
The chat link cable method didn’t work for me
Yeah I've never been a fan of it too flimsy
ps5 doesn't have optical
I have no game sounds help
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
thanks needed this
What happened to your monitor video??
I had to remove it for external reasons :/ but i am in the process of making a renewed video to upload very soon
@@MathewTheBest dam that sucks man, I was going nuts trying to find the two videos in my history.
"Want to use your capture card while streaming from PS5 using your headphones but can't?"
"dont!"
The ps4 had the option to output to hdmi and analog at the same time but they removed it on the ps5 which sucks
Yup they are only making it harder for us to stream 🙄
mate what are you talking about, the PS5 doesn't have an optical output so your option 4 solution is bogus. can you clarify?
Thats why you have to buy the Astro Mixamp adaptor as stated in the video. That will solve that issue
Thank you dude omg
