Hi, the help has a good overview of this. Basically how a curve influences the surface and how the influence is limited. I pretty much never change it from global in a 2 direction boundary surface. help.solidworks.com/2019/english/SolidWorks/sldworks/r_boundary_pm.htm?format=P&value=
