Solidworks: Rundown on the Boundary Surface Feature

  • In this video I cover using the following functions and options within the boundary surface feature: Single direction, two direction, tangent influence, normal to profile, direction vector, connectors, surface analysis options (mesh preview, curvature combs and zebra stripes), merge tangent faces. Note that I do not cover all of the options available, just the ones that I use most often. Please let me know in the comments if you have a question about a specific option.

    This is very useful, thank you! One thing I was wondering about is the box for "Curves Influence: Global"
    What does this change? Perhaps you could address that in another video if it's not an easy answer.

      Hi, the help has a good overview of this. Basically how a curve influences the surface and how the influence is limited. I pretty much never change it from global in a 2 direction boundary surface.
