This is the best seat of ANY luxury car!

- The Toyota Century is the only car from Japan to have a V12 engine. And it also has one of the most interesting seat designs. As a luxury limousine it's packed full of technology, but it's best feature is how the centre part of the front passenger seat folds down so the VIP in the back can really stretch out.
- ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
The Japanese would take their shoes off before putting their feet in there.
So would I and I'm not Japanese, look at that carpet!
The Japanese also only banned Child P in 2012. It's swings and roundabouts.
@@anonanon7497 you ok?
As per asian custom and pure common sense
Matt is british, they have no manners🤣
Even the door handle sounds premium good job Toyota.
That door handle sounds amazing ❤
was looking for this comment , its sounds heavenly !!

Toyota never let anyone else have this car. When you see one of these in Tokyo you know the guy has serious money and/or power.
? you can buy them for 20k
@@velocityfpv5231they are 100k in the US but ok
@@Big_Zenusno they aren’t. You can get them for under 20k in the states. I bought mine in Japan for 12k
@@Chiraq312boi oh I saw some on websites for 100k
@@Big_Zenuslook them up on cars and bids, they sell for 10-20k
Had a Nissan CIMA 450 VIP that had this exact feature. But not just that. The rear seats reclined but also heated and had a massage function. The foot rest that you would slide your feet through was also heated and massaged!
The Toyota century has the same features the guy just didn’t mention it. But that Nissan definitely sounds like a cool car too.
Those aftermarket rims are straight fire
A hunnit spokes
Yee
They are stock.
That's stock
Not stock at all, they come stock with either 14" or 15" wheels
I won’t lie, the build quality in that car looks way better than most luxury cars of today. It looks beautiful too.
are you on crack? it looks like if dollar general started making car interiors
not quite
@@haluyolo7568 That was my opinion and this is yours. End of story.
Simple as that. Lols.
@@haluyolo7568 Modern Mercs lack wood trim. So do most luxury cars.
@@haluyolo7568 as a 2022 s class and 2018 c class owner I can confirm that those centuries are way better build than new mercs.. my 2022 s500 already making squeaky sound of I lean on the center console too hard.
Being from USA, I first thought how can there be room for the driver😊. You legs are in the front seat. Then I realized, it is a right hand drive car. Lol.
Just imagine....they developed and made that V12 engine for only that one rare model of car! 😮
Am I the only one who thinks that engine sounded harsh?
The engine isn’t normally being bounced off the limiter to be fair! I bet it’s silky smooth and quiet under limo driving conditions
it’s actually unusual to see the interior with leather, in Japan the “better” material for the seats is wool since it’s quieter and won’t get hot in the sun
Yes, this is the lower spec leather interior
Leather: hot in summer and cold in winter.
Leather: So much easier to clean and don't hold disgusting stains, sweat and a whole plethora of bacterium that people forget is embedded and never gets cleaned.
@@ElusiveTy do you own any leather underwear?
True. High grade wool cloth seats are considered top trim specs in Japan (unlike leather, cloth does not make squeaky sounds when sitting or fidgeting, in addition to what was already mentioned with hot/cold surface issues)
The Japanese take on luxury is always thoughtful and grandiose
Those door handles sounded like they were made of real titanium when he pulled them
That seat feature needs to be a government mandate like a seat belt .
Fire Rescue Service. We aren't sure. The front passenger has his body missing, and the rear passenger has his legs missing - wait a minute.......
Someone finally said it 😂
nah bc they would only hire the best chauffeur in the world... the real tokyo drift king. Driver would be able to avoid any accident and make no mistakes himself
@@dedgar6161 by law that level of chauffeur is required to play the fast and furious Tokyo drift music at all times, even when he is not driving.
😅😅
I was gonna say an accident would create some nasty injuries
How awkward it'd be for the driver looking into the front passenger seat, seeing your feet sticking out 🤣🤣
Reason I was waiting for the cameraman to show the front of the seat
tbh the driver wouldn't care specifically the japanese culture because japan is so clean
I would find it very pleasurable
That privilege is already included in the salary. By the way, the driver's family are well protected in an unknown place by the boss's mates as well. Thank you.
Sheer disrespect for his profession...
Would love to see the double broken leg insurance claim when your chauffeur has a crash! 😂
It’s worth it….sorry
The japanese take pride in what they do and it shows in their cars
Artillery seat, first line of defence 😅
My buddy had a Nissan Cima in high school. Drove like a dream and when he put an exhaust on it, that V8 sounded so deep and mean. The Japanese luxury cars were something else in the 90s, LS400, Crown etc 👌🏼
Hey just letting you know it's a 2006 car
Didn’t even know, thanks for that. The century looks like it belongs in the 90s lol but nonetheless, they all look great, 90s models are timeless.
😂😂😂😂ls400 is a Lexus. They dont sell Lexus in Japan . It's the Toyota celsior😂😅😂

Makes a clean breaking line on your bones in case of an accident.
Always the pessimist.
@Matt S i prefer realism, putting ur feet up is great but that is sourely outweighed by having ur legs snapped in half in the event of an accident. The emp will be fine cos he has an entourage but anyone is screwed
@@ThePresidentofMars How do you even see those legs getting snapped?
His body would lunge forward during a crash, the legs won't snap, just like legs in a sports car where they can extend a lot under the front console, wont "snap".
@@Matt..S on further thought snap is probably the wrong word but i dont think they will be in working condition after the car crumples up from an accident, espcially on a car from 30 years ago.
@@ThePresidentofMars You believe that huge car (not to mention a V12 engine block in the front) has a crumple zone like an accordion?
In that case, your concern should be with the driver who would be the first to suffer lol
That baby who kicks seats on airplane : Finally , a worthy opponent , our battle shall be legendary !!!
Everyone gangsta until you crash then your legs be bent backwards
When you have a crash, the hatch closes up nicely and keeps your sheered off legs safe for the paramedics to collect them.
It is not mainly intended for the passenger during a drive. It was designed as a resting function for privately hired chauffeurs during resting hours.
@@SkyForce6700 I was making a joke about how it was presented in the clip, but I'm glad that's the more common usage.
I doesn't look very safe for a passenger whilst the vehicles moving, similar to when you see passebgers up front with their feet on the dash! Crazy.
@@SkyForce6700 Superb!
Skoda Superb 1 Had it as well! 🙂it could also have a fridge btw.
Yeah, I also saw pictures that Superb had this feature
He should've known that..
and also an umbrella in the door :D
Guys I swear I had a contradiction with someone on this topic! I saw a show a long time ago that featured the skoda superb 1 and it featured this type of seats. It was the first and last time I saw this! After a long time now if you are looking for a superb skoda with this type of armchairs, you will not find it. Or they are extremely rare.
Wow. Awesome classic. Why no one else use that idea. Great
props to the owner for having such a beautiful resto-mod of this Toyota Century! 👏🏻
Amazing car the Century, and from what i've heard, very reliable too, but that's more of a trait of Japanese cars in general than just the Century.
Fun fact: the reason the v12 engine in an executive car sounds so different than that in a super car is because of their crank layouts. The V12 engine in an executive car is cross-plane, while the V12 engine in a supercar is flat-plane
That’s a nice car I bet it will also last a lifetime
He is actually shaking with joy
He’s quivering
You can tell it's luxurious by the sound of the doors
My car sounds the same and it costed 9 g
Awesome and thats those 90s when there were already lots of switches and electric buttons with cool functionality
Dude they made this car in this configuration until like 2012 😂
Best interior for a Century is their wool option. I wish more cars had that instead of leather which looks good but it’s sweaty in the summer and cold in the winter when you first get inside.
Incredible luxury car 🇯🇵✅👍
TOYOTA century.. wooow

Toyota Century is amazing.
Now this is the state of the art!
when you get into an accident at a high speed with your feet through the seat...... 💀
My dad's Skoda superb mk2 had front passenger seat adjustment in the back and the seat opened like this as well
But it's a Skoda 😂
Yeap. It's insane how luxury Skoda can be if you find the proper car. There are some amount of used Superbs on the market which were made mostly for some VW group high executives and EU government and they are insane!
No way! Didn’t know that. That’s superb! ;-)
Simply clever! 😉@@sammuslu2992
And when the car brakes hard, you just swipe right to the front passenger seat.😂😂
😂😂
It's not a race car lol

The best part is, everything will still be working after 30 years
provided that it has proper maintenance
And when the driver hits the brakes, you come out flying like a rocket
