    Japanese views on cheating is one of the wildest things I’ve ever heard about. Can’t believe how much tolerance there is for it.

      The guys must check to see if it is a perfect fit and so does the ladies, doing that is not cheating in their country.

      I think his view is right but incomplete. He could have said the opposite and be right, both views are. Marriage is culturally ubiquitous and historic. Humans are super diverse and adaptable. IMO, sexuality is complex and involves many "strategies", including monogamy.

    • @NamekSaiyan
      @NamekSaiyan 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      his view is absolutely spot on. sexuality is very simple actually and it's not equal rather asymmetric. monogamy is a woman's imperative not the other way around. @@phudlow

    In a situation where you feel you need to cheat you cheat yourself. Just a toxic solution to a toxic problem. If the problem cannot be worked out. Slowly find the exit. Cheating is just going to lower your energy and make you feel worse off than you did before.

    8:37 Cheating is a big no no in most South American cultures it’s more lenient on men but that’s more of an old traditional thing. Basically hanging out with a friend of the opposite gender draws a big red flag where as western countries call you paranoid and clingy if you over react to your significant other hanging out with a friend of the opposite gender.

    I like how all those who openly admit doing it say the viewers shouldn't do it or they'll regret, meanwhile all those who claim not to have done it somehow cheer for the cheating viewers lmfaoo, almost feels like everyone is lying and you should basically take the polar opposite of what they say as ground truth.

    Nice interviews! I’m curious if piercings are viewed the same as tattoos in Japan? Are you in interviewing in Osaka? I’m wondering if it’s tolerated more in Osaka vs Tokyo? Also what type of jobs are they able to get? Are tattoo and piercing parlors rare? Also if people are comfortable dating someone with them? If you ever run out content lol I’m just curious!

      Not really, but schools do have very strict rules about that and more. Most people do what they like once they go to Uni.

    • @phudlow

      Not really, I think its just Yakuza style tattoos people are against. I saw a good amount of face piercings in Osaka as well as a few western style tattoos on Japanese men and women. There's definitely less of it in Tokyo from my experience.

      There Is no difference between Tokyo and Osaka in terms of tattoo and piercing s. Because you will see young japanese people in the city with those things. Most of those people work as freelancers or tattoo parlors Which are not common here in Japan. You will be refuse service in some Onsen resort s

    The truth is none of us - including these people - knows for sure if cheating in Japan is any more or less common than it is anywhere else in the world - although this certainly seem to be the perception with some people. The only way to find out for sure would be to carry out some massive surveys but for these to be statistically valid you would need to survey thousands of people in each country. And of course, if you were to talk to someone who has studied the human mind extensively, he would tell you that human nature is human nature and that therefore there would only be a difference of a few percentage points from one country to another. In other words, you are no more likely to be cheated on in Japan than you would be in the USA.
    As for why people cheat in general it is obviously different for men and women. When men cheat it is pretty much for the same reason that people cheat on a strict diet or sneak a cigarette when they promised their significant other that they had quit. Basically, they are too weak to resist the overwhelming temptation. And let's face it the male sex drive is somewhat similar to extreme hunger except 1000 times worse. And the reason men have this overwhelming drive to sleep with other women even when they already have a sexual partner it is pretty much what the guy with glasses said.
    As for women, in the vast majority of cases when they cheat is it not actually about sex but rather it is because their emotional needs are not being met. There are some exceptions to this of course. For example, there are certain types of women who compulsively need to create chaos around them and when they cheat it is because on some level, they want to throw a monkey wrench in the works. And with both men and women cheating often occur when the relationship is on its last legs but one or both partners do not have the guts to actually break up so they end up cheating. So, because they are afraid of hurting the other person, they ironically end up hurting that person even more by cheating.

    Everything comes down to culture and religion beliefs. In the west we have judeo Christian morality ,in Japan they don't have the concept of Sin. So their view on cheating are no on same standards are in the West.
