When you work in low wage stuff, there’s an unwritten code where what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and you don’t tell on each other (unless it’s egregious). Boss says don’t use your phone on the clock? You bet everyone’s using their phone. Gossiping about coworkers? You betcha. Unfortunately, that kind of camaraderie disappears once you get to white collar jobs and, especially with majority women workplaces, everyone wants to be the first to snitch on you for the littlest thing. And they say working while young prepares you for the real world.
@@ferretyluv hmmm... I've been working white collar jobs, entry level to management, since 2008 and I haven't found that to be the case. You still have your central team of work friends to do all of that with, but yes there is that one person or two that is a suck up or snitch out to get you. But that's most places anyway. 🤷

The cameras never work in restaurants, was a really nice little detail lmao. I remember being accused of stealing tips when I was a bus boy but they told me they didn’t have cameras so they couldn’t prove it; well, let’s just say I wasn’t the one stealing tips originally but I definitely started 😂
@@Loregasmo They’ll work if there’s a remote owner, and that owner will text everyone asking why they’re doing whatever they’re doing about every 24 minutes.

Outsiders just need the illusion, they don't need to know. Most places with cameras, the cameras most likely don't work.

I worked at a Walmart once, and they were going to write one of our workers up for some b*******, so we all took the heat and all of us got a write up. When the boss asked don't you care that you guys are being written up, this old guy that was working next to me spoke up and said "This is Walmart, it's not like anywhere down the road someone's going to see this and go well we can't hire you."

I worked a cafe shop job for about eight years and recently moved into the tech industry. I miss these little moments with co-workers. Watching your videos reminds me of the good times & the funny moments that happen in the food industry. Thank for doing what you do.

I worked in restaurants, bars and cafes for 10+ years in New Zealand. The accuracy of every little character and detail is on point, even across the world the 'hospo life's is just the same! Good work bro 👏 appreciate the chuckles.
excellent management. This happened in real life. I was working in a factory and we had a customer and we took him to visit the factory floor. He left his cell phone on one of the stations, and it was gone, someone stole it, and yes, the cameras were not working.😅😅😅. Management decided that the price value of the cell phone will be deducted from every workers paycheck since no one wants to say who did it. Couple of hours later we received an anonymous call telling us the phone was dropped in a secure location and we went and we got it back that same day.
Yet today's parents don't want anyone punished, let alone the whole group/classroom/siblings if someone does something that will get them in trouble and doesn't own up to it. We need to have peers monitor and punish themselves, cuz if they don't take care of it, everyone will be punished.
