- Here's a compilation of some of the earlier kitchen scenes when Bistro Huddy was just starting to come together, mostly on TikTok and Instagram. It's interesting to see how the characters have developed since they first appeared, particularly Nicole and Pickles.

Nicole going from a super bubbly girl to someone who wouldn't care if the store burned down is the most realistic character development of any restaurant experience I've ever seen.

Yeah, the problem was we had no idea this would take off or become a series with repeated characters! So early on, we were naming characters for a video and later they’re character would change. Trying to be more consistent now.

@@DrewTalbert If it helps, it’s super common for even for major shows for characters to change, sometimes even drastically, later on. Especially if it’s pilot to show. Also as someone who wants to start making more art and stories it helps, knowing you don’t have to have everything set in stone or figured out all at once.
Anytime they offer the ladies some fries, I just always crack up. 😂

I'm a Nico myself...cut almost a quarter of my thumb off while slicing bread for our homemade croutons...just covered it up and told the boss I was good to keep going
@@1snorelax That restaurant arc in One Piece where there's only chefs in the place (also acting as servers) and no actual servers was the most accurate to life representation of what a restaurant like that would be like. They didn't even need to put it in the middle of the ocean or involve actual pirates, that was just a bonus.
🤣🤣🤣 I was a line cook at a restaurant that had veggie and vegan options. If a server came to the window to ask if a dish was veggie or vegan they’d always get the wrong answer from the cooks. Our KM would tell us to do so because the “servers should know the menu”. Those poor servers got bitched at so much. I started writing up short lists of what items are vegan and veggie and sticking them all over the server stations so they’d stop getting messed with. It didn’t work, no one read them.
This is why the menu should just have a V or VE for vegetarian or vegan. All the restaurants in my area do this. They also have a G for gluten free.

Were not we are just stressed and tired of doing the same shit over and over again and not getting any real appreciation for our work

Finding Bistro Huddy has given me life, before I decided on a major career change, hospitality was what I did for a decade. I was both server and cook depending on job/restaurant

I don't know how I stumbled across this channel, but it's pretty addictive. Definitely got me feeling different when I go out for a meal. Loving the backward shirt improvisation, it took me 20 odd videos to notice it, your acting is rather convincing and I was absorbed by the story to even notice it.

The characters are so well cultivated, I flip from loving the Bartender to the overwhelmed and overworked Manager, to the brilliance of Nicole, ADORABLE Pickles, obviously I could go on. Having 30 year’s experience as a chef I can honestly say…spot on! Having found your channel, I can now honestly say that the only thing that I miss is regular access to bacon and ‘scooby snacks’(that effed up looking lamb chop left over when plating a rack etc)
