Tim, Pam, and Terry's relationship sold me on this channel. Saw one clip and fell in love with your stuff. You're very talented and honestly it's like watching a restaurant version of The Office. You capture the essence and persona of every character skillfully. My favorite comedy TH-cam channel! Thank you for the laughter!
You can see that Tim and Pam enjoy being there and would probably be more fun than most of the customers to have a drink with. You also have to wonder if Terry isn’t actually happy to walk around talking about all these things he’s grown up knowing that are beneath other customers he serves. It’s a joyous wee dynamic. Feel a bit for the dude serving, he’s doing his best but on this one isn’t at the races.

i like seeing the origins of terry's relationship with tim and pam. just from a quick "i speak redneck," there's now a whole relationship built on hometown sensibilities between customers and a professional. i really like their interactions where terry's calming tim down, as well as having brad's back.

Terry is portrayed as actually very good talking with customers. He can "code switch" at a moment's notice in order to communicaye with all different types of customers. It's played for comedic effect here, (of course), but that is actually a very special skill set that not everybody can master. Super important for somebody in a public facing managerial position.

I started working in restaurants when I first started working. Lasted a good 5-6 years. Every single one of these no matter which character is in them are spot on and I love them so much. Haven’t worked in a restaurant for over 20 years now, but it still resonates and makes it feel like yesterday.

If such person is near a bar (I work as a bartender) I never try to upsell them anything (something I'm amazingly good at). I just ask few questions, give my most honnest opinion on what to order and gladly pour whatever they want. Real life example: -Yo, bartender kind'a thirsty. -All yours, bud. Got your mind set on anything or should I help you out? -How expensive is beer? Daylight robbery? Not from here and first time in restaurant- -Got you. Well if you want something on the strong side I would recomend cha-cha (georgian "vodka"), or you can grab a bottle of Jameson. -Bottles are 0.5? That would be to much or to expensive- * Me looking around for my boss * -Lissen. If you can't finish the bottle you come to bar and then my boss isint looking, you know same one that is preparing table for you, I'll give you a cork to close it. And I can't really see well in my left eye so you might just take it home.... -Cha cha cha! How much is bottle of Jameson? -One liter is 60€. But lissen. Such bottle in shop is ~40. This is THE BEST price to alch ratio we have. None of what I said here is a lie. I usually recomend food with drinks to once again I don't oversell it. No BS, no I'm an expert and I read that this is that etc. Just simple human to human conversation
