Hope everyone enjoyed the video!!! Regarding how I pronounce Geto, I admit my pronunciation isn't really correct, however as far as I know in english the way we say "geh" is actually impossible to say it Japanese. Also I don't know why I called Yuki Yuko lol
I also speak Japanese relatively well and I have no idea what you're on about dude xD Why are you adding sounds where they don't belong? げ is "ge" and と is "to". I have Japanese friends as well and not a single one pronounces it like you do. Awesome vid btw! Edit: Just for kicks I asked GPT-4 if げと could ever be pronounced "Geitou" and it answered: "The Japanese kana "げと" is typically romanized as "geto," following standard pronunciation rules where "げ" is "ge" and "と" is "to." The pronunciation "Geitou" is unconventional and not aligned with standard Japanese pronunciation or romanization practices. Japanese pronunciation is generally straightforward, with each kana representing a specific sound or combination of sounds, and there are established systems for romanization such as Hepburn, Kunrei-shiki, and Nihon-shiki. None of these standard systems would render "げと" as "Geitou." "
I think its very fascinating to see how Geto is "living his best life" in zero. He acts like a disney villain, takes pictures with his _family_ and has so much fun fighting Yuta and doing his bad guy routine, down to his last momments he smiles wholeheartedly because he *truly* has no regrets
Okay, I didn't feel that emotional seeing their relationship in the anime and felt sad for him, but the way you articulated their bond made me tear up 😢
it s good that you have to search youtube for a guy to reimagine the story so you can actually enjoy it. this anime had so much potential but is ruined by it s most op villain: storytelling
I think geto is just straight up THE best written character in jjk. The ones who come close is nanami and mahito depending on the character archetype you prefer. But when it comes to tragedy and writing no one else is fleshed out like him
It's a shame that he never really honed his skills any further, instead focusing more on his ideals than his actual growth as both a person and a jujutsu sorcerer.
That’s what makes his character all the more tragic, and the storyline in general. It’s like wondering what could have been had these things not happened to geto, or gojo
@@understanding77tbf he was always gonna be driven crazy by his ct gege stated jt… so sad but at least he would’ve had time to develop it before going fully crazy…
Most video about Geto talk about parallel between him and Gojo, but I want to talk about parallel between him and Nanami. Both change their live after Hibara death with Nanami quit, yet he come back because a simple "Thanks you" he find joy in helping non-sorcerer something Geto never realize. If Nanami talk no jusu him, he might even successfully change Geto's mind.
Well, Nanami and Geto lived very different lives. Geto's ability is what really helped throw him into insanity. The curses he eats are revolting, the worst taste in the world, so what degraded his mind was constantly submitting himself to this to help those who hated his kind. Geto saw the worst of humanity while Nanami saw a glimpse of the best of it. I don't think a cashier giving Nanami bread cancels out Geto being contracted to kill two kids because they were "a little weird".
Geto is by far my favorite jjk character. His development throughout Hidden Inventory/Premature Death is tragic, but at the same time, very understandable. He was doomed to break at some point. The whole argument about egoism in jjk's world isn't really about "selfishness = strength", but about the need for your ideals and motivation to come from within, not from the outside. Doing something because "it's the right thing to do" and doing it because "you know deep within that it is the right thing to do" are two completely different things. Geto's ideals at the beginning of Hidden Inventory are the former. He exorcises curses because protecting the weak is the duty of the strong, but that's something that comes from outside of himself, it's what would be expected of someone in his position. He doesn't really have a deep conviction about it. And that's why once confronted by the ugliness of the people he was protecting, his ideals slowly begin to crack. Since he didn't have any deeply rooted ideals to keep himself straight and his only friend, for whom he once was a moral compass, had reached a level where he was not needed and a level he could never attain, he had no one by his side to share the grief, hatred and depression with. Then, when he was at his lowest, both Haibara's death and Mimiko and Nanako's treatment by the non-sorcerers of the village were the last two straws for him to break away from his previous ideals. Two innocent children, whose only "sin" was being born with a talent that regular people could not understand being thrown in a cage by them. The villagers would not listen to a word of Geto and wanted him to get rid of the two, all the while he knew they (read non-sorcerers) were the cause of their own suffering (curses), rather than the kids. Seeing the worst of the worst of mankind and being forced to deal with it constantly led him to a point where he was at least a bit justified in saying "fuck it". I don't condone anything he did afterwards, but I can understand it.
Pretty painfully underrated comment I swear to God.., absolutely love the way you looked through his character arc while also coming to tie together strings that most people in the community tend to overlook and blantly ignore, pretty mastered it even !! Man I just *wish* from the dephs of my heart that poeple would just come to understand his character more than naively jumping into conclusions without any bias or research, completely casting aside the painful and miserable process he had to go through to reach the inevitable breaking point..
That's basically what happened to him, yeah. It's interesting how there are characters who go through the same thing, seeing the worst of humanity like Higuruma. He constantly deals with the worst of humanity, although he experiences the unfairness of the Japanese justice system. When he finally breaks, he loses himself for a bit until he meets Yuji. Afterwards, he's reminded of his morals and convictions.
because no normal person is simply born with the deepest conviction of "protect everyone who exists just because". Thats an idealistic mindset often found in japanese/asian media and can more often than not be self destructive as opposed to Geto's regular destructive.
Geto's transformation is a firm sign that Jujutsu High has not ONE teacher with a serviceable brain. The administration of everything in JH is horrendous to a degree that completely explains their abysmal performance at the Shibuya.
@@toucan2227i mean i agree for the most part regarding jujutsu high as a whole being rather incompetent, but sukuna is the oldest most traditional character in the story yet the strongest, most independent and most capable

15:13 My theory is that what Gojo said to Geto is the same thing he said to Yuta. "You are my best friend, my one and only". Which is why Geto smiles softly and says that Gojo should at least curse him in the end...
I saw somewhere that both Japanese and English voice actors were told exactly what Gojo told Geto so they could act a genuine reaction as Geto’s last words. I think the English voice actor confirmed that they were only three words. IDK THOUGH don’t take my word I read it on a wiki😭😭
@@yohannien REAL I rlly think it was something affectionate, not necessarily romantic but def something like “I’ll miss you”. Geto DID blush in the manga so
What hurts most about rikkos death is that because of tojis heightened senses he most definitely overheard geto and rikkos conversation but still killed her cause he's an elite bag chaser
It really is the most confusing thing that Toji is allegedly in heaven vs the hell he richly deserves. I love Toji, but he is not a good person or father.
@@RageQuitMoshI read that in his FIRST death he went to hell. It wasn’t until he was resurrected and killed himself for Megumi that he died and went to Heaven. So you can say tHeOreTicAllY that he alr paid for his sins the first time he died. And tbh he didn’t ask to be brought back to life.
I’m not a Toji glazer but people forget that Toji forgot about his family not because he was a evil father, JJK has a lot of Buddhism in its story. He became the embodiment of something a lot of Monks try. Having no attachments in the words of Gege “The One Who Left it all Behind”
I genuinly watched this the entire way through and thought, danm this guy must be in the millions at least, and i see the 5.2k... you deserve like 100x that
His story is so sad, the way everything changed so quick is still difficult to accept. He’s such an interesting character, and although his morals obviously turned evil, you can see his perspective. Seeing his backstory, you’d never expect it from someone as kind and reasonable as Geto to end up the way he did. I wish someone could’ve saved him, maybe have a redemption near the end at least, but he still didn’t regret his choice. It’s sad he really didn’t have much screen time at all, he technically was never even in the show. Using his body for Kenjaku is really just Gege being evil and trying to make Gojo suffer more. It’s just emotional damage, using the face of his best friend for the new villain, when in reality he’s been long dead. 😕
The Gojo x Geto friendship really is the sweetest kind. Two people who love each other despite their differences, who cherish the other’s being even when things must come to an end. Imagining the heartbreak that Gojo felt knowing that Geto needed to die… and that he had to be the one to kill him… But in a twisted way, Geto’s death allowed him to be relinquished of his convictions and psychological suffering.
The saddest thing of it all is that Gojo never got over it, even before killing him. His last genuine happiness was 11 years ago, so for 11 years he just has been going through it
The way you used narration along with the scenes, like the part when Geto and Riko are talking and Toji kills her and you paused as the scene continues just gives the it so much depth. It’s genuinely amazing how something so simple can change the way things are seen. Others might not think it this way, but I am so glad I took my time to watch this vid. So thank you. To see Geto fall into this downward spiral genuinely hurt me. He is one if my favorite characters in Jjk, and watching this video clarified a few things i couldn't catch on. Thank you for making this video! (Is it wimpy to say this made me cry??)
The way youre able to convey everything in such an easily digestible way AND using such amazingly thought out descriptive imagery to show both Gojo and Geto's bond, his ideologies, and just his whole character is so fuckint amazing dude
I really like the fact that even though the ideals of geto and gojo are presented to be like parallels, they are both somewhat closely trying to do the same thing, changing the jujutsu world because it is rotten.
This was so helpful for any confusion I had throughout the whole series. The clarification made me feel even more sad about their bond and how much it has changed from the circumstances. Geto is such an incredible character though!
I will always respect Geto and his ambitions. Walking alone towards a goal you believe in, no matter how ugly it appears to everyone else, will always be the right choice. You're only wrong until you win.
I will certainly root for him if not for his genocide..... I mean sorcerers and normies are both human right? And not all sorcerers are good people like those jujutsu higher-ups, and that's also mean not all normies are downright evil like he believes. And so he can spares the good natured human then. They are SSR in rl but still exist anyway.
@@gracequeeney3399As Yuki had said, its just the easiest way to go about it. What's the point of trying to help everyone when they won't ever realize what you're doing is just? What's the point of finding those good hearted humans when the excess is ignorant and thus guilty via association? Its better (in Geto's eyes) to start from scratch rather than to help everyone, even if the latter were to be the best outcome BECAUSE its easier
The thing is, Geto is technically right. Jujitsu high is so fd up. The higher ups couldn’t care less about the lives of sorcerers and the world is also fd up. It’s just the way he went about helping those issues was wrong
Thats the way sukuna and kenjaku like it, they were behind the scence with the sole purpose to create hell and the worst part is that they effectively won
Geto is my favorite jjk character, thank you for this video. My people don't understand this. But you have explained it in such a good and simple way that everyone can understand. Thank you so much for this video.
I think the greater point of early geto is solidified more by Mahito Corrupting Junpei. This kind of proves that curse users can kind of come from purely mundane parents. Like a Harry Potter mudblood phenomenon. This makes the existence of curse users more of a roll of the dice and shows that despite what gojo said; every sorcerer is the chosen one. He lost touch with reality to find an easy path out of trauma. He abandoned responsibility for convenience.
Honestly, perfect character analysis, I agree with every aspect! Geto personifies every major aspect of the whole manga / anime: the strength, the sacrifice, the tragedy, the impossibility of it. I love it. And Geto (before his solution became genocide)
I get a feeling itadori could have made geto see something new. He was someone who didn’t even know of sorcery then when he gained power he chose to use it knowing he’d just die. But geto never got that.
geto is one of if not my favourite character. it saddens me so much that things went the way they did. the first few episodes of season 2 are my favourite because i LOVE seeing both him and gojo especially interacting with each other. one day ill cosplay geto
There is indeed a theory as to what gojo said to geto and it’s derived from the opening 2 “ao no sumika” there is a line that says: It is the unvoiced voice that says “We’ll see each other again, won’t we?”
That is just what Tatsuya Kitani thinks the last words were, but in the JJK 0 light novel (written by gege) the last words were described as such "embarrassing words that were never said before in their student days" and there was a line that said "there was something that NEVER changed, geto suguru the worst curse user but to gojo satoru he was _____" censored. Gojo’s eng VA said that it was 3 words in english, so yeah it's most likely to be "i love you" wether it be platonic or romantic
@@uda4699 yeah and it makes sense for "i love you" to be the words because gege said the words are in JJK 0, who else said those words? Yuta to Rika and the JJK 0 director talked about how Gojo and Geto were a parallel to Yuta and Rika and how love could have helped them grow but it came a curse
It is genuinely heart breaking to see how much love these two had for one another as comrades on the front lines and close friends. Just to be forced against each other. The world of JJK is brutal
Yuji is closer to Geto as he experienced the same stuff as Geto but the the difference is that Yuji had people helping him through the rough time while Geto had none and Yuji had experience in non jujustu world
It's actually very similar in ideals & execution to the Castlevania Series on Neflix with Dracula. Geto's perception of the world was PERMANENTLY broken. While Gojo & other characters can rationalize the cruelty & unfairness of the situation... he could NOT. There was no more innocence or delusional thinking left in him. Geto was not stronger than Gojo, but he was more intelligent. Even worse, he was intelligent enough to understand that REGARDLESS of his own personal strength & and potential... that in the end, nothing would change. The status quo would remain the same. Why bother getting stronger? So, not being able to pretend (or self-actualize/rationalize) that he was a "good guy", he took on the role as a "villian" while waiting for someone to put him out of his misery. Even while playing "villian", the civilian casualties were relatively low, aside from his 1st 100 people incident. I believe he himself realized he couldn't perform genocide either after that. So as Alucard said to Dracula, "This isnt a war, it's the world's longest suicide note." Geto was begging for someone to end his existence. Someone to see & understand. He thought Gojo of ALL people, his BEST FRIEND, would understand. But Gojo didn't. He couldn't even sympathize. He took the Genocide Plan at face value, not looking any deeper into it. So in Geto's final moments, he was kind, but in a way, LOOKING DOWN on Gojo, for not understanding him. My headcannon is that in Geto's final moments, Gojo finally agreed with Geto & admitted their actions were futile and gave him some peace. That's why we'll never hear THAT part of the conversation, because it would be akin to breaking the 4th wall. God's chosen righteous angel can't EVER be caught breaking bread with the Devil, & admitting this is all a game we play.
I really wish they lived longer and together but maybe it was meant to be like it to give JJK more depth (specially regarding YUTA and GOJO) And your articulated their relationship beautifully, love the video❤️
Excellent analysis bro. It summarizes perfectly the relationship while keeping it concise and entertaining. And the closing scene is excellent, the choice of music, the editing, everything is fantastic. Amazing work! Keep it up!
Wonderfully done video! It was a really nice summary/explanation, it was done beautifully. I personally thought the hidden inventory arch was kind of confusing so this cleared it up for me, thanks! (Geto's my one of my favs too)
Read the lyrics of Hidden inventory opening song (Ao no sumika i think), the lyrics tell us Gojo last words to Geto. For those lazy to look for it, it was something among the lines of: Will we meet again?
This video helped me better understand s2 of jjk, and especially getou. I love his character and just needed a better explanation of what happened post-Riko incident when he changed and this did exactly that. Thank you
one thing I see a lot of people miss but is a really nice detail is that when riko dies and the association is clapping we see geto in a blue light and gojo in red lighting showing that geto absorbed all the info that just happened to him like blue while gojo repels all the info and only focuses on getting stronger like red
Something I noticed was that in the openings and endings of the Hidden Inventory episodes was the fact that Geto was usually seen in a darker, more shadowy place than Gojo was ;-;
He was not only honing his own cursed energy, he was also straight up consuming curses, negative emotions. I feel his fall into madness was inevitable because that.
it's not even explained that he swallowed curses. I thought it was just absorbing or something. but only later In season 2 we see him actually swallowing dont know why
i like how they let us see how he really just spiraled down into a descent of madness, letting the viewers actually be able to see how he thinks and how he justifies himself, it just makes the character so much more realistic and understandable, even if you don't agree with them.
So Geto's mindset was like " Sorcerers trying to save all humans from curse spirit and yet they torture, kill Sorcerers, human don't understand so he makeup his mind to kill all humans and make a better world only for Sorcerers " -- was it the motivation for Geto?
Amazing video man! I have some more things to add, but you did an amazing job of analyzing his character without making a two hour video out of it First and foremost, I think the most important thing you missed to mention is Geto's inferiority complex and envy towards Gojo. You made a bunch of points that were playing at it, but you never outright stated it so I'll go out of my way to explain as to why I think this is such an important aspect of his character. Gojo is stronger than Geto, he was from birth. Yet the two are regarded as the strongest together, implying Geto was at least at his level, even if he had to put in more work. We don't see this bothering Geto because it doesn't really matter at the beginning, it starts being relevant when Geto realizes there's something he wants (not sure of what exactly it is at the time) and he doesn't have the power to change it. Gojo does. Gojo could, if he wanted. And even though they're theoretically equals at the moment, if Gojo just tried harder, he'd easily rise above him. And then Gojo awakens and this eerie sort of jealousy manifests as some parasite plaguing his mind. After Riko's death, the gap between them widens as he cannot make his progress in his psychological state and Gojo starts doing solo stuff. Gojo doesn't need him. Neither does Jujutsu Tech. Hell, even Shoko is drifting away. He slowly and painstakingly loses his sense of purpose in addition to questioning the reality of his life. Nothing keeps him grounded anymore, there is strange animosity festering where affection and pride once resided. There's no reason or meaning anymore. And he knows if he were Gojo, he'd never have to feel that way. 5:51 Another thing I wanted to point out is that in this scene, where Geto opens the door, he is not aware Gojo is alive. He's preparing himself, because as far as he knows, behind that door the corpse of his best friend, literally his other half, is waiting. I don't even know how to explain it, but if you ever had a bond as deep as these two have, just imagining having to walk up to your best friend's violated corpse and having to keep cool because now all your shared responsibility is now entirely shifted to you is. Vomit-inducing. Like that's genuinely insane. I think that's something you missed to mention in genereal, ik it was technically there in a broader sense but I just wanted to shed some light on the importance this had. Gojo's "death" was something that he had to up and swallow simultaneously to Riko's, and that's just sick. Not only does he see an innocent girl get killed for no reason at all, he also loses his best friend, and he realizes there's nothing he could've done about it. No matter in what relation he stands to a sorcerer, they all meet the same fate. In addition to almost dying himself, I think the massive shock in that particular scene is what made his PTSD so bad in the first place. In his memories, he lost EVERYTHING that day, to a person he is told to mindlessly protect. That fcks up your rendition of the world pretty badly I'd say. Also, at 8:04, I sincerely believe the former is right. We don't see a lot of him, but Haibara's character in jjk is probably the closest we get to one motivated by sheer good will. In some of Akutami's notes for the character it was stated that Haibara has a little sister who, like himself, has potential to become a sorcerer. The thing is, he outright forbids her from attending any Jujutsu institution. At all. There's no valid reason for him to do that with his personality, other than wanting to protect her from the life of a sorcerer, meaning he's at least in some way aware of the harsh life sorcerers are forced to live. Even if he didn't see horrors of the size Geto did, he knows being a sorcerer isn't something he'd wish for others. Yet he is one himself. To protect the innocent, it seems. THAT is selfless. And a bit stupid and naive, yes, but you can clearly see how much he cares for others, he is literally what people call a sunshine boy. What defines Haibara is that he is a GOOD person. And then he dies. And we see how people close to him start to spiral as they realize the death of joy personified could've been prevented if thing's had just been slightly different. We see this as both Nanami and Geto grow resentful after witnessing the fate of their friend, with the simple difference of the where this resentment is directed to. Geto blames the system, and Nanami the distribution of power. While the two play into each other's hands most of the time, Geto refusing to see Gojo as an issue in the system is rather considerate. It's bittersweet, really, because we see he still understands Gojo like no other despite having similar feelings of envy toward his power. He still cares for him, their bond never ceased, but they will be on the same side after this, and that's something that can't be changed. I honestly can't blame Geto for turning out the way he did, he was continually loosing all footing to stay sane. With all he had to witness and experience, there's no way you could reasonably expect him to keep going like always. I know for sure he's a lot tougher than I am, I would've cracked way earlier if someone put me through this shit I'm not even gonna lie 💀 But I also believe that is a testament to the fact that things could've turned out differently if somebody just noticed in time and gave him the help he couldn't get for himself to get back up on his feet. A shame that didn't happen, but we got a fire antagonist out of it so I won't complain 🔥
That was such a good analysis!! I think you really hit the mark on Geto feeling a little inferior to Gojo. I feel like you could totally see that during the "break up" scene with Gojo when he says stuff like "You could do it, couldn't you Satoru?" when he was talking about his morals/plans. Plus the infamous line, "Are you the strongest because you're Satoru Gojo? Or does being the strongest make you Satoru Gojo?" Lastly, "If I were to become you, this foolish ideal would become a lot more grounded and real, don't you think?" I think you can see that he now views Gojo as stronger than him and realized that there's nothing he can do to fix their gap. He breaks off totally from Gojo and the whole JJK realm to become something by himself and follow only his own ideals and logic after realizing the ugliness of humanity. Truly a heart breaking character but he was so well written. Plus he shows the dark sides of being a sorcerer and falling apart because of the whole Jujutsu society
Toji was self serving rebellion. Geto was ideological rebellion. The true nature of that difference is vast, complicated and contains some overlap, but Toji didn't care for the world, he just wanted to fight it somehow, his very being and powers reflect that. Geto had to believe in some way to change it, He was basically Hitler, He broke in his pursuit of his place and found his place to be with changing the world in such an extreme way it MUST be ultimately meaningful, right? Regardless of the sacrifice, in all honesty it must be their fault anyway, right? And all these people that fawn around and do actually benefit from his pursuit... he did "Care for them." Toji never had any comrades, he wasn't about comradery, he was a unique mutated entity that acted on a foundation of self-aware, petty spite. Geto kinda invited Gojo to oppose him. Obviously it was inevitable, but he could have done serious damage if he played double agent, That's where he's different from hitler, in that Geto almost begged to be told he was wrong, but they really couldn't answer him, and so much...much worse questions came to Gojo and the world later in the form of his own body no less, as if it wasn't obvious enough. Kinda like... "What if we failed hitler?" kinda? Idunno. Not advocating for their actions but mental healthcare has always been far below demand, that's no secret, and Geto is just better then Hitler imo. Worth thinkin about I think.

I don't think a cashier giving Nanami bread cancels out Geto being contracted to kill two kids because they were "a little weird".
Nanami also went on to be super protective of Yuju solely because he saw what became of Geto after Hibara's death and he didn't want that for Yuji.
I don't condone anything he did afterwards, but I can understand it.
i love comments like these i swear😩the analysis and breakdown of getos character here is super satisfying
You didn’t miss
because no normal person is simply born with the deepest conviction of "protect everyone who exists just because".

I saw somewhere that both Japanese and English voice actors were told exactly what Gojo told Geto so they could act a genuine reaction as Geto’s last words. I think the English voice actor confirmed that they were only three words. IDK THOUGH don’t take my word I read it on a wiki😭😭

What hurts most about rikkos death is that because of tojis heightened senses he most definitely overheard geto and rikkos conversation but still killed her cause he's an elite bag chaser

Geto is written fantastically, glad to hear others agree.
I remember someone saying "All it takes 1 yapping session from Yuki to change broken geto to commit genocide"
I go55a admit I'd be just as easy
The Gojo x Geto friendship really is the sweetest kind. Two people who love each other despite their differences, who cherish the other’s being even when things must come to an end. Imagining the heartbreak that Gojo felt knowing that Geto needed to die… and that he had to be the one to kill him… But in a twisted way, Geto’s death allowed him to be relinquished of his convictions and psychological suffering.
The saddest thing of it all is that Gojo never got over it, even before killing him. His last genuine happiness was 11 years ago, so for 11 years he just has been going through it

The way youre able to convey everything in such an easily digestible way AND using such amazingly thought out descriptive imagery to show both Gojo and Geto's bond, his ideologies, and just his whole character is so fuckint amazing dude
Great analysis dude, Getos downfall is Shakespearean level writing fr.
Really enjoyed this and look forward to more content

Geto’s arc in Hidden Inventory was what really roped me into JJK, this video helps prove to me that he is honestly peak

I don’t think I’ll ever recover from geto and Gojos bond. It did so much in so little time and had such an impact it’s crazy. I love it soo much
the montage at the end made me tear up a bit, i loved this video sm.
He abandoned responsibility for convenience.
to be honest, the season 2 hidden inventory was insane, seeing how he say hes tired. If the students were strong he wont have to do alone
Honestly, perfect character analysis, I agree with every aspect! Geto personifies every major aspect of the whole manga / anime: the strength, the sacrifice, the tragedy, the impossibility of it. I love it. And Geto (before his solution became genocide)
getos downwards spiral literally breaks my heart aghhh. love this video !!
I get a feeling itadori could have made geto see something new. He was someone who didn’t even know of sorcery then when he gained power he chose to use it knowing he’d just die. But geto never got that.

There is indeed a theory as to what gojo said to geto and it’s derived from the opening 2 “ao no sumika” there is a line that says:
It is the unvoiced voice that says “We’ll see each other again, won’t we?”
“I love you” that’s so hot ong satosuguru
@@vulmere I LOVE YOU IS PERFECT
@@uda4699 yeah and it makes sense for "i love you" to be the words because gege said the words are in JJK 0, who else said those words? Yuta to Rika and the JJK 0 director talked about how Gojo and Geto were a parallel to Yuta and Rika and how love could have helped them grow but it came a curse
I will hang myself if the words are I love you. I need the source for everything that was said in this conversation
It is genuinely heart breaking to see how much love these two had for one another as comrades on the front lines and close friends. Just to be forced against each other. The world of JJK is brutal

Yuji is closer to Geto as he experienced the same stuff as Geto but the the difference is that Yuji had people helping him through the rough time while Geto had none and Yuji had experience in non jujustu world
the only main difference is getos shitty writing
So as Alucard said to Dracula, "This isnt a war, it's the world's longest suicide note."
Geto was begging for someone to end his existence.
This is one of the best analyses I’ve ever seen. I can now fully understand my favourite JJK character

Excellent work, thanks dude!
Something I noticed was that in the openings and endings of the Hidden Inventory episodes was the fact that Geto was usually seen in a darker, more shadowy place than Gojo was ;-;
i couldnt stop but cry while listening to this.. why did gege have to make this so sad ughhhh. btw i love how you explained all of this. thanks man💗😼

Amazing video man! I have some more things to add, but you did an amazing job of analyzing his character without making a two hour video out of it
First and foremost, I think the most important thing you missed to mention is Geto's inferiority complex and envy towards Gojo.
Plus he shows the dark sides of being a sorcerer and falling apart because of the whole Jujutsu society

i love what gojo and geto had a wierd almost love for each other and cared for eachother so much and then so fast it goes away
And all these people that fawn around and do actually benefit from his pursuit... he did "Care for them."
Toji never had any comrades, he wasn't about comradery, he was a unique mutated entity that acted on a foundation of self-aware, petty spite.
