It works folks. I slowed my downswing and two days ago I hit a 220 yds drive. I use the swing the V method for everything drives, chips, irons, it’s that simple for me, don’t over complicate it. I am 65 and I have never hit a drive that far down the middle. I hit 15/18 fairways by slowing down my downswing. By far my best round of golf in recent memory. Jimmy’s swing tips are great. Thanks Jimmy.

@@garrymajor7528 your shoulders and your hands form a v, I hold the position of a v as I go into my backswing and the transition at the top all the way through the swing. Works for chipping too, no hinging my hands I maintain a V and rock my shoulders in my swing. Jimmy can probably do a better job explaining it.

After watching 4386 TH-cam tips about golf, it looks like I finally found something that sticks with the tips from Jimmy. Not just the tips regarding the swing, that really does make things a lot easier, but also the relaxed mindset towards disappointments and scores really does wonders for me. I'm still not where I want to be, since "smooth swinging" seems to be something that I may want, but my body doesn't feel the need to cooperate for whatever reason; there's some disagreement there. But I won't give up and am definitely moving forwards, so thanks a lot Jimmy!

Thank You so much for making these videos much easier to understand. So many instructors mean well but make it more complicated. I’m a baseball guy and when I hear hitting coaches talk about everything into a swing, it gets too much for hitters to follow. Our philosophy is easy, “ Get a Good Pitch to Hit and take a good swing” nothing else. And it’s the same with your videos, Love it👍

But everything else Jimmy talks about from the jacuzzi, temple, right hand waving, follow through, the balance, smooth swing, course management and have a great calm attitude will definitely help lower scores. These tips got me shooting from low 90s to low 80s in 6 months! You must work on your short game tho. Be consistent with chipping and putting. But like all things, you must put in the work and practice, practice, practice.

    1. Irons ball at back foot driver ball front foot
    2. Tell myself turn back wave and turn though
    3. Stay down on the ball
    4. Hold my finish.
When I step up to the ball I clear my mind and it has been amazing Putting I use the hot tube thought and do the count to 3 before looking up. It works.

Agree that "hands have to win". I whip the club more than you do in this video, and I realize you can whip it more than you do in these videos.... I generally have no problem with the hands part....and maintaining lag....and avoiding topping the ball. When I whip it, it's too easy to let the club get ahead ...of my body turn.......and pull the ball. One of my key swing thoughts right now.....is to whip the club in time with my body turn. I do always maintain lag....so that really isn't a problem. Aside from the hand location, also gotta make sure the body does not move ahead of the club. It all has to be synchronized for a nice straight shot....or people get a slice or pull. The more velocity or whip you have in your swing, the more absolutely precise the timing has to be ....between swing and body turn. That;s just athleticism that I'm sure you've worked on to get your shots nice and straight and consistent. Hand manipulation just never achieves any consistency.

13 years ago I shot 75. I went out yesterday and shot 99. My friends say I'm averaging 190 on my drives. I am desparate. Will try this at the range. I was also 0/10 GIR. If this doesn't work I'm quitting and going fishing.

That’s an Great Body swing ,of which I can’t do because of 7 knee surgeries 6 upon my left -Front leg with 3 total Knee replacements . I think of the swing as using an AX , Horizontally and Can’t turn Body with Ax head .I swing the club and try to keep My left Shoulder closed and I’m crushing it with all My woods and Irons ! But Whatever works and I don’t miss an Episode ,enjoy Jimmy and Smack that Shit !

Hit an iron off the tee so you Never hit your ball OB when OB is in play. Play the ball back in your stance. Dont try for hero shots, keep the ball moving forward no matter the distance. Swing at 70% speed. Also, watch more of my videos :)

I like your ideas jimmy. It was like night and day when I implemented your methods. However as soon as I thought I'm gonna be pga I played with pga and looked like an idiot shooting 77 and the swing went in the toilet. Lmao. I will continue with it which is rare for me not to change it after 1 bad round lol

The way you hit it further is to swing it faster. It really comes from rotating and the straightening of the rt arm.Yes there has to be other things working in sink. You can do it with your hands slightly behind the ball. The ball will usually try to go rt or on top of the ball or slightly infront.Iv tried every thing .I had an uncle that could really play.He could fry his 3 iron 230 when he was 60 years old.I ask him wat his swing thoughts wer.He said straighing my rt arm.

Great tip with hand position and keep body moving. I have used hit in the lake(HIL) for decades...lakes do stop the ball better than firm greens though.😉
Head down 3 seconds after for putting. HD3 👍
69* is great for back foot and not changing your setup. I love my 64 and slightly back of center.

One of the best pitch and short game pros Paul Azinger did this. I used it for my 30-60 yd flops and it was magic. Inside the Jacuzzi most of the time unless a ton of slope or greens ultra fast. Then use the pro V1's!

Jimmy, you dog. For whatever reason I was leaving my driver how you were showing at the beginning of the video. Now that I gave it a little shuffling and closed my feet. I put my feet closer, thus making me spiral more and really swinging the club correctly. With minimal effort, I am hitting straight Yahtzee, it’s very seldom. I can take something off the Internet and apply it to my game let alone it immediate. Keep doing your thing pimp.

You made a video with one of your Golf Pros and your setup is not the same, the Pros address, place the right foot first, the club in your left hand for the lead shoulder to the target, so, you just set up with your right-hand to the target than step into the address position and end of story, so which one is right, this could change or create too much thinking if they have to change their setup thinking this is a better setup...which one is it.
    Just asking.

Great teaching and course management Jimmy, too many people are just swinging crazy like they're trying to kill a snake and overthinking way too many moves, and I see way too many players going for the green in two shots on a par 5 trying a 200+ yd shot when it's surrounded by trees, water and bunkers, and end up with a 7 or an 8 for a score, instead of using two wedges in maybe end up with a birdie or a par, smh, many times I'll get on the course and I even talk to myself like you with your cadence ,it makes me play better, if I would play with you I'm sure I would annoy you haha you would be thinking I'm mocking you.

The other thing that happen to me when I NST my body, is that my body is not only turning but also shifting forward, right to left, before ball contact, making a mess of the contact point. Do you have any tips for that please?
