Hi Jimmy I am a 9 handicap and have been playing for over 20 years - the game can be complicated and as with many have always been working on improving my game, swing, lessons which honestly have not added much value … watched a few of your videos and have applied the basic thinking over the last 2 games, can honestly say it has been very effective and have started to really enjoy the game with far less frustration than in past … thanks and keep up the great work.
I have been golfing for many years and am also a retired teaching professional. I enjoy the ease in which Jimmy makes the swing easy to execute and learn. He's a natural and I agree with him in the simplistic approach of the swing and the game versus those who get lost trying everything which includes the professionals. He is sharing the secret which is keep it simple and practice. His tone shows how patient and relaxed you need to play which is the key to success and using mistakes to your advantage versus getting mad and losing it. Great job Jimmy! Can't think of a better approach to help others start progressing and enjoying the game more!
I watched the first half of this video before playing today (5/21/24) I implemented the concept on the range during warm up and saw immediate improvement on the range as well as in my game TY
Just starting watching Jimmy’s videos a few weeks ago and have gotten a lot out of them…in this video he said stick your arm to your chest and I’m going to give it a try Thanks for the enlightening tips that you put out there. The first tip that I picked up on was just hit to the front of the green and it’s changed everything. I’m now hitting a 7 or 8 iron into the greens instead of trying to to hit a 4 or 5 iron to the flag in the back of the green and losing it left or right
I have been playing for 30 years with 3 different swings. (I use whatever swing works on that day) watched countless videos and tips. bought tons of training aids and have searched forever for the secret. 10 years ago I used to bomb it 300 off the tee on a consistent basis (not anymore) Irons were ok. I am 60 now now and have been struggling a lot lately. I played last Sunday and could not hit a shot.(felt lost and ready to quit game thinking at 60 I am too old to generate any speed or consistency. I stumbled upon this video last week. Jimmy you have a gift as a teacher on how to explain where you need to be to have a consistent swing. "Go to here" leave it here" then turn back to the target". "You don't need to throw the hands out here or over there" then you demonstrate it on the course!!! I was like wow! who is this guy? so down to earth and informative. I started swinging this way in my office took it to the range the same day and could not believe the crisp accurate ball striking I have not had in sometime. Stay connected!!! what a concept!!! first 9 hole round with this swing...center of the fairway with every drive. Nice smooth wedges to center of the green/avoided any trouble- 6 pars 2 bogeys shot 38!! after going 47 and 53 1st 2 weeks in my league before I saw tis video!! YOU HAVE SAVED ME!! I am grateful! thanks brother
Jimmy, your videos are fantastic. The information is perfect for us average golfers looking to improve. Your basic swing instructions are easy to remember and therefore easy to put into play out on the golf course. I enjoy your easy flowing banter as you demonstrate on course what you’re teaching us. My playing partners have gotten a full dose of me saying “Jimmy says just hit it into the pond.” Jimmy says “Gently roll it into the hot tub, no splashing!” I’ve adapted your club handle forward and turning my body all the way through the shot. My game has improved quite a bit in just a few rounds. I’m a senior now shooting mostly pars and bogeys instead of mostly bogeys. Keep the videos coming. I need the repetition. Thank you!
Jimmy, regardless of how many times you may say the same thing, things resonate with everyone at different times and for different reasons. I appreciate your content and the simplicity with which you teach.
I watch your videos all the time Jimmy. No annoying background music, no pointless banter, no gimmicky golf swing training aids. Just you on the course in beautiful weather. Good stuff.
Love your videos, you've helped my game so much, simple and repeatable, 3 months ago I was a 28 handicap, now I'm a 12, I stopped being a hero with my driver, always costing me shots, losing balls or going out of bounds, plus having no real game plan, and trying to pull off shots way beyond my abilities. I don't hit long with lesser loft teeing off, but I'm always in the middle of the fairways. Plus a shorter take away with easy tempo has helped immensely finding the sweet spot on the club and its easy to repeat with with all the clubs. Again thank you for being my coach.
I want to personally thank you for your video. I am a disabled veteran and I have been struggling for the last year that I have been learning to play golf until your video. I tried your instructions and from the very start I was not only able to follow them, I was able to hit my driver without a slice, and more power than I even thought I had. It has completely changed my golf game and confidence in the biggest way. I hit every ball today on the driving range straight, high, and farther than I have ever done before. God bless you.
Hi Jimmy. Been playing golf for a long time. My handicap fluctuates 19-21. Been watching your videos for a month and I’m applying your teachings. Once my body and mind can adapt to your methods, I think I’m going to lower my handicap and enjoy enjoy my golf game a lot more. You are the best teacher of golf I seen on TH-cam. Thanks Jimmy.
Started watching your videos a couple of months ago. Love how simple your teaching method is. Played 9 holes Sunday on a course I had never shot less than 47 on. I hit every fairway but one and shot 39. I hit a 7 wood from 177 to about 10'. I would recommend watching your videos to everyone that is just starting or is struggling learning how to swing.
@@TropicanaEntertainment I watch all of your videos. I would like to encourage everyone that watches to please hit that like button for you. 41K views but only 1.6K likes?
I've been watching your videos for several months now, I have improved my game tremendously by playing and applying some of the drills and concepts you advise and for me it works,as a young man in my 30s I played left handed , started playing again in October of 2023 at 63, couldn't hit the ball, January 2024 started playing right handed , I've played a lot of golf,70 plus rounds as of July , my last 20 round average is 88 and my handicap is 21.6, thanks for the great help and advice keep it coming, thanks again
I watched your video regarding the repeatable swing and found that it made sense. I have been struggling with consistent contact for a while now. I went to the range and tried the swing thoughts and was impressed. I played 18 today and shot an even 80. Just for comparison, I spent 3 days in Myrtle Beach and my lowest score was 95. Thank you for making this simple.
I love short swings, repetitive and consistent motions and solid impact which would result in good distance. Thanks for repeating. Eliminating big mistakes. You are excellent.
Well Jimmy, I tried out everything you preach fully for the first time today, It was only on 9 holes, but I broke 40 for the very first time in my life! Now 39 might not seem spectacular, but here's the thing. Last time out I hit 103 on 18 holes. One Hundred and freaking three!!! Not only did my score feel amazing, I was so confident that by hole 5 I found myself thinking about ball placement rather than just making a shot. This is from a golfer at the age of 52 who has had multiple leg injuries through the years, and I didn't feel any discomfort at all!!
My comment is a ‘general’ comment. I love Jimmy’s videos! Started golfing at age 64 AFTER heart attack. i love it! I’m awful. I’d love to play w Jimmy a round and get lessons. Never had a lesson. But w him, i’d love it. Good teacher!
I personally love the fact that you hammer home, repeatability 🤙🏼 I also really like your attitude towards the game of golf, because that's what it is, a game🏌🏼♂️ Keep up the good work 🤙🏼
I just wanted to let you know, I've been watching your videos for a couple of months now and since I started using your simple way of playing golf, I have started making better contact with the ball and shooting lower scores. Thanks for making golf fun again.
You are the best! I am a 25 handicapper from the Senior tees. This past weekend, I put your method into practice and shot an 88. It could have been lower since on a few shots, I had a memory lapse and swung like a 20 year old flat belly. My next step is to practice your ball position recommendations. Keep up the great videos.
The mark of a good teacher is to repeat and reinform so that what is taught becomes ingrained in the students' minds. As someone who struggles with multiple medical conditions and cancer, I can't wait to practice what you have said in your videos this coming week, as I can feel that I am able to.
been in okinawan karate for over 20+ yrs.(not training anymore) Senei once told me that I can punch a mikawara 100 times and look good at doing it. But only 1 will be perfect. Spraying shoe spray on my irons and driver, reminds me of my teacher and what he said. I look good swing a club, maybe, but I sure don't hit the exact same spot over and over again like tiger does. Thanks Jimmy for your vids, keep them coming.
Love it Jimmy...keep it simple!! Others over complicate it.....I am not that good...will never drive the green...stay on the grass...use easier clubs like a 7 iron etc...brilliant 👍👍
I watched the Hogan video but couldn’t figure out how to start with the lower body until you said bring your hands here and leave them. Now turn your body. Hitting it longer and straighter than ever. Thank you.
You are the only one on youtube that says golf is not hard but we let the mind get in are own way, and that is the best tip I have seen on here in 5 years.. When I"'m playing my best golf all i say to myself is toss the ball at the target. if i think of anything more i will start hitting the ball all over the course.
Great approach to coaching for high to mid handicap players who lose tons of strokes by doing dumb things. I think it’s great to take the swing tips out on the course instead of just banging range balls. I’ve only watched a few videos in the last week but I definitely shaved a few strokes by adopting Jimmys simple approach to the game . Thanks Jimmy! Keep it up! PS- most mid range golfers are terrified in bunkers so maybe you could hit that on a video
Jimmy I watched another video of yours. I then went out and played around the golf and they shot an 87 with ease. I do have to admit that on two occasions I went back to my old swing because I thought I needed more distance and guess what I screwed that one up. I’ve been playing golf for over 20 years and never realized how easy the swing is as explained by you. I appreciate you brother thank you and keep making these videos. By the way, all my drives were in the middle of the fairway first time ever.
I agree...repetition is a critical part of the learning process and your videos and message are great! Plus, I like going along with you while you play. Keep up the good work!! Thanks!!
Hello Jimmy You are correct about repeating the swing. I lost my game completely last weak so I went back to some of your videos and I think I am ready again for my next swing. I was using too much armswing instead of whole body swing and power. Thank you again. Regards Jerry in Brazil.
Yoh Jimmy! I'm not one to respond or comment on vids, but I must say. In the grand scheme of things. You've hit it on the head! It's very easy these days to get caught up in the unlimited amount of swing thoughts and theories these days. Yes, it all comes down to no tension no swing thoughts and hit the ball. Keep it simple and smooth.
I worked on this technique and tried it a few days ago . I was barely swinging and the ball was going further than normal and more consistent . Unfortunately our season is over now but next year this is my swing. Thanks
Jimmy I love watching all your videos over and over again. You have helped me soo much. Thanks Jimmy God bless you for helping all of us with our golf game. Keep going and GOD Bless you.⛳😇🙏
I got a 26 mile drive to work every morning. My fav thing it to watch jimmy or manolo videos on the way there. , my game has improved where I’m shooting low 80s consistently. Being in Denver we do t get to play much December thru march due to weather. These videos definitely help getting ready for the season. Great job. Keep up the great work.
You’re the most dapper dresser on TH-cam Golf! Tips are excellent too! Wave to the Camera & Hottub are classic! You’re spot-on about a repeatable swing.
I'm a believer. You are moving up the ranks in the elite yt channels!! Top 5 no question but I am very new. Your short swing video I just watched brought me here

Thanks Jimmy I love the channel. I’m writing from Portugal and since I started watching your videos I have gone from 29 to a 22 hcp and going strong. Thanks a lot keep the good work.
These lessons are really helping me. I quit taking lessons from club pros a couple years ago. They just want you to do drills. Who has time for that crap. Thanks Jimmy
Watched your video yesterday, tried the slow half swing (along with my bicep glued to my peck) last night and had my best 9 ever. 5 pars and a birdie, couple bogies. Love your channel bro.
23:04 “Feeling of Greatness” lol that’s so good. Jimmy I love your simple instruction, I don’t know how many times I found myself throwing my arms at the ball. A bit of practice and hope you have me repeating this golf swing. Thanks.
Jimmy, Thank you for making the game fun again. Ice comment last weekend from playing partner. I am going to start calling you Mr Consistent. All due to you and your teaching videos. Thanks again Bruce..
Thanks, Jimmy. Found your channel this past winter. First night of my 9-hole league and got to put your advice into practice on the course. Shot 47, which is a great first outing for me. Had been shooting high 50s last year. Can’t wait to keep plugging away with your advice through the summer.
Truly enjoy your teaching style. I have golfed a lot of years and struggled with the swing. And getting older doesn't help, but your easy lessons have helped in a big way. I will keep watching even if you said the same thing in the last video.😅
Jimmy, I have bought in to your approach completely. Thank you!! You have made this game fun and simpler. My scores are dropping! I 'll let you know how I'm doing from time to time.
good job jimmy!!! i think the biggest swing flaw in golf is the over the top swing producing the big ole banna ball! The second flaw i see is chunking the ball whether it is a short pitch or a full swing from 180 yards. Maybe you can do one on that flaw if you get a chance!!! thanks
I don’t golf but I just love watching your video’s. But you give some of the best tip’s and ways to fix your golf game watching you and Manolo help me just go back to work keep it up.
The golf swing has to be consistent I agree This has helped me swing easy, yesterday I tried it and shot a 78. I’m a 10 hdcp. 71 yrs old. Thx for advice
Another educational video on the swing. I figured out why I was pulling some of my driver shots, I was loosing connection and my arms were drifting away from my body. I watch your vids more than once to picture how you are swinging. Thank for the video.
Jimmy, thanks for your help. All the information out there is overwhelming at times.. hardest thing for me to do is get that smooth, easy swing. Gets even harder when you’re playing with your buddy that is crushing it.
Hey Jimmy, thanks for these videos. I've been nervous about returning to play golf after having not played for the past year due to having "tennis elbow", which I ironically developed from playing golf. I still haven't played a round yet, but I've been implementing your method in my test swings in my backyard and my confidence is back. I'm looking forward to playing my first round using your method, Dave - Melbourne, Australia.
Another great one Jimmy! Question. When you’re at setup do you keep your arms loose or do you tense them to keep them straight? I find myself doing that. What is your grip pressure?
Just found your cannel. Loving it. Thanks for simplifying that which has been made complicated. I'm a Highschool golf coach and by your example I am encouraged to change my approach with my students. I'll keep you posted on the results. The flowers you commented on in this video are Hyacinths, fyi.
Omg I spit out my coffee at the first and last comment. Took me back to 1985 watching La Bamba Ritchie’s brother Bob. That guy was a character huh? Love the videos keep up the great work.
Jimmy. I love your vidoes and love your thought process. I would like for you to make video of how you setup to the ball. How do you know you're the right distance? What grip you use. A repeating golf swing also needs a consistent setup also. Keep making the content!
Jimmy your videos are excellent. Thanks so much for what you do. You have helped me a lot. A problem I have is that, as I tire in the latter part of a round (I’m 74) mistakes creep in such as swaying or lifting my head. This leads me to swing harder which compounds the problem. Got any tips to overcome this problem? Thanks.
I feel if I focus on this video and the " reduce the variables" video, I might get somewhere and stop freezing over the ball! Originally I would freeze over the ball, due to going over a check list in my mind before I would swing but over time that turned into trying to relax and not rush the back swing and down swing. It has been a risk reward due to this pause, as it is an opportunity to still let thoughts in and mess up your tempo. I love your approach and I really hope everything is OK in your corner of Florida!
Perhaps a Bogeytown segment for 20+ handicappers to remind us of the value of bogies and the respect we should show them (and how to go about getting them). I still struggle to break 100, and a 90 would blow me away. That's just 18 over (as you have mentioned in passing) - Bogeytown! Love your work man.

Keep doing your thing. I enjoy watching
Tropicana Entertainment.
You got it. Love to hear the feedback. Thanks for watching. -Jimmy www.tropicanagolfshop.com
By the way, all my drives were in the middle of the fairway first time ever.
thank you for watching. when in doubt, think less and keep it smooth.
You're right Jimmy. I applied what you taught and my game was down to 90+stroke from 100+. I simplified my game just what you said. Thanks a lot
thats amazing. thanks for watching. www.tropicanagolfshop.com - jimmy
I agree...repetition is a critical part of the learning process and your videos and message are great! Plus, I like going along with you while you play. Keep up the good work!! Thanks!!
Hello Jimmy
You are correct about repeating the swing.
I lost my game completely last weak so I went back to some of your videos and I think I am ready again for my next swing.
I was using too much armswing instead of whole body swing and power.
Thank you again.
Regards
Jerry in Brazil.

Hear it Jerry. Thanks for watching
Keep it simple and smooth.
thanks for watching! -jimmy www.tropicanagolfshop.com
I worked on this technique and tried it a few days ago . I was barely swinging and the ball was going further than normal and more consistent . Unfortunately our season is over now but next year this is my swing. Thanks
good luck next season. practice in the off season.
Jimmy I love watching all your videos over and over again. You have helped me soo much. Thanks Jimmy God bless you for helping all of us with our golf game. Keep going and GOD Bless you.⛳😇🙏
Thanks so much. Im so happy its working
Love to hear this. Enjoy the golf season!
You watch videos whilst you’re driving?!! 😏
Always keeping the game Simple💪🏽Thanks Jimmy🤙🏽
You’re the most dapper dresser on TH-cam Golf!
Tips are excellent too!
Wave to the Camera & Hottub are classic! You’re spot-on about a repeatable swing.
I'm a believer. You are moving up the ranks in the elite yt channels!! Top 5 no question but I am very new. Your short swing video I just watched brought me here

Thank you for the videos Jimmy and love repetitions, keep them coming. "Bada Bing Bada Boom"
Of all your videos...This video sums it all up for me. Something I do before my round is I write "Trop" above my left hand wrist to remind me of your videos.
Thank you Jimmy
I love to hear that. Keep it smooooth!
Tropping is much better than topping !!

I enjoy your teaching methods simple and calm. I gonna keep on watching and benefiting from transferring you common sense approach to the range and course. You keep on and be Jimmy! Love your content!!
Jimmy, from your approach and on from the 3rd hole was GOLD!!!
Repeat - Repeat- Repeat
Thanks Jimmy
I love the channel.
There it is!!! Glad it worked
Love to hear that. Thanks for watching
Jimmy Tropicana bringing the heat. Great video
🔥🔥🔥
Dude these videos are just great. Stay cool Tropicana Jimmy.
stay smooth ted!
Thanks Jimmy you have helped me a lot I love your approach to the game
right on Tony. glad its working for you. Thanks for watching. - Jimmy Tropicana tropicanagolfshop.com/collections/tropicana-merch
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO JIMMY THANK YOU! KEEP REPEATING YOURSELF!
Thanks for watching!
Truly enjoy your teaching style. I have golfed a lot of years and struggled with the swing. And getting older doesn't help, but your easy lessons have helped in a big way. I will keep watching even if you said the same thing in the last video.😅
Thx again Jimmy, love your state of mind out there! It's definitely helping me.
Jimmy, it works!! And when it works, it’s FUN! ⛳️
Love to hear that. Keep it smooth and itll work more
I actually like the way you share that you lose your swing on occasion and play bad golf. Getting back to the basics is never ending
Thanks for watching. -Jimmy www.tropicanagolfshop.com
Jimmy,
I have bought in to your approach completely.
Maybe you can do one on that flaw if you get a chance!!! thanks
Great at communicating! Thanks!
thanks for watching
I don’t golf but I just love watching your video’s. But you give some of the best tip’s and ways to fix your golf game watching you and Manolo help me just go back to work keep it up.
Jimmy, another great video, I love your low key approach, you are a fantastic teacher, keep up your good work.
The golf swing has to be consistent I agree This has helped me swing easy, yesterday I tried it and shot a 78. I’m a 10 hdcp. 71 yrs old. Thx for advice
wow. amazing. glad its working for you. thanks for watching
Love the videos!! Any particular way your gripping the clubs?
Jimmy, you make it so simple, Great stuff, thank you. You the best
Long time fan! Any advice for some of us who dont play quite as much but still want to maintain this type of swing?
Swing in your backyard. No ball. Work on making sure you can hold the finish
Another educational video on the swing. I figured out why I was pulling some of my driver shots, I was loosing
connection and my arms were drifting away from my body. I watch your vids more than once to picture how you
are swinging. Thank for the video.
Disconnection always leads to hooks
No tension ever. My grip pressure is a 5 out of 10
Nice calm, relaxing way of getting your message across… nice1 JT from the home of golf 🏴⛳️👍🏻
You make it look easy. I'll try it at the range and report back. I'm 71 so something easy and repeatable would be nice.
I like how you keep it simple, when I golf I remember what you say keep it simple
Just found your cannel. Loving it. Thanks for simplifying that which has been made complicated. I'm a Highschool golf coach and by your example I am encouraged to change my approach with my students. I'll keep you posted on the results. The flowers you commented on in this video are Hyacinths, fyi.
Oh man thats awesome. I hope it works for you guys!!
I tell everyone that you are my mental coach. Thx
Hey I love that!!! Thanks for watching
Your videos are so helpful. Thank you. This tip makes me feel like every shot is a low, inside fastball.
Boom! Love it
This definitely works well. I tried it today and hit it consistently. I now understand what “stay connected” means.
I love it. Keep it up Jimmy.
You help make golf fun. Thanks.
Love the videos...simplicity in the swing. 👍
splendid video Jimmy 🫡 🇬🇧
I appreciate you repeating the swing and the hot tub hopefully when I get out again I can repeat some of your teaching..
Love to hear it. Thanks for watching
