Forget the shot tracer bullshit. Your videos simplify the most taught and least learned human endeavor better than anyone( tour pro, teaching pro,TH-cam "pro") I've ever watched or read. Keep doing exactly what you do,please!Jimmy, you and Old Man Pat from Golf mates show us all how to simplify, mentally and physically, this game that we love to play but never quite figure out by using common sense and checking our ego at the parking lot.

I discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love all your videos. You speak directly to the 99% of us out here who are just trying our best to play decent, respectable golf and fully enjoy this wonderful sport. Your tips cut through all the super-technical BS (that I still admittedly watch almost every day) that only ends up getting me thinking about too much at the same time and thereby screwing up my entire swing. So thanks for helping me think more simply and more clearly - and thanks also for making me laugh out loud while I learn how to play this game better. Good luck and keep doing what you're doing. You make golf fun again!

As I come out of New England winter on a trip south a few weeks from now, I'm going to organize my approach to getting back into the game by following a number of your basic fundamentals. I know there is a high probability I can perform them with success. You present an organized KISS approach which will get me off on the right foot.

Like your show cause its different, playing holes without editing, one swing thought, do not focus on body parts. You're right, get that swing thought, wave to Camara or bowling ball and you have it. Tracers are overrated and doesn't mean anything to the average golfer. If players would listen to your no nonsense advice they would knock dozens of strokes off like using safe clubs, taking 3 strokes with irons to reach oar 5s. Most importantly accepting a bogey and moving on.

I'm like you, I can't have all that shit going on in my mind while I swing. I watched your video last week (arms glued to chest Ben Hogan) and have had the best week of golf of my life. I've only been playing a year. Never got a birdie in one year, I've had three in the last week and my score has come WAY down. My hardest issue now is just relaxing on every swing. I still tense up.

Great video as always. Instead of a shot tracer you should incorporate a real-time zoom on the shot the way Good Good does it - you might need a dedicated camera guy for that though.
Either way, I'm loving the videos.
I have a nasty habit of constantly changing up my swing - every time I come home from the range/course a have new swing thoughts that I want to integrate. All in the hopes of an extra 10 yards or whatever.
This leads to stress (mental + physical) and worse golf/scores.
I'm currently at 18HCP; this season the goal is to get sub 10 HCP using the Tropicana Method (butt to the button, no hero shots, chill the F out and have fun) - wish me luck 🍀

JImmy, I have a question...Many instructional videos advise that you get the hands ahead of the ball and de loft the club...I can understand this if it's windy...But why turn a 7 iron into a 6 or a 5? Why not allow the club to do what it was designed to do? I'm thankful that you have simplified the game with your common sense advice!

    • @TropicanaEntertainment

If 98 out of 100 shots lmao........ even pros don't fit the criteria for not wanting to watch your video. Nice infomercial tactic lol. With that said, I couldn't agree more with what you say in the video.......most of us amateurs think WAY too much about hitting spots vs swinging 1st before all else. By hitting spots, we cease swinging and take our game out of the equation before it ever had a chance.

Like your simple approach on how to play golf, plus you don’t rattling on like an old history teacher you get right to the meat & potatoes and make it easy for everyone. Thank you. My ride has arrived. I’m out of here.

3 handicap but will be 0 by March. Roasted for simplicity? Thats what everyone wants. Simplicity. Why would you want complicated golf tips??

@@TropicanaEntertainment good fella for replying mate. I like that! 🤠 well simplistic is good but given the content out there these days you would think ppl would want more 'swing tips'. After years of swing tips I have in fact got worse but now am realising you must keep it simple! Was just making a point that you don't get any negative feedback and wanted to see if you just blocked me lol. Anyways keep up the good shit man. I'm from Australia and watch your videos all the time 👍🏾👌🏾

I am a new subscriber… I don’t need more swing tips… I now want to hit the ball into the jacuzzi and to tap in for „my par“ which is the course par+2 to get a +36hcp first… next spring I want to tap in for bogey to get a +18 Hcp… The only thing I say now is : Let’s go! 🤠

In the end, Jimmy, what you are saying is just plain common sense of body movement, You can tell a bad swing automatically....because it just does not have real athletic flow to it.

Thats true but sometimes the swing gets confusing. I hope this helps
