Welcome back to some more Super Mario Sunshine Lost Bits! Hey guys, welcome to LOST BITS! Where I will cover unused and unseen things in various games! In this video, DPadGamer and I return to Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo Gamecube and find various cut objects, sprites and even some cool unseen content! When I covered Super Mario Sunshine I didn't even think this game had this much cut content!

13:44 I always liked that small detail in this game. The planes leaving a trail is such a nice unnecessary detail but still cool that they thought of including it.

You can actually see the ice cream cart in the current design of Delfino Plaza in a few kiosk trailers, it was positioned right next to the left of the Shine Gate and would have probably only been a springboard to get up to the grass part.
Though my guess as to why Nintendo removed it is that they felt it was unnecessary with F.L.U.D.D., and it could have been easily exploitable to get to Pianta Village early.
The swastika symbol its actually a japanese symbol for saying good luck. (You can also see it in one of the dungeon in the first legend of Zelda)

The symbol is called a Manji. It has religious meaning in Japan and it's reversed and at an unskewed angle. Not a swastika

11:00 I saw it used and working in game when I saw a TH-camr play it, what it does is after Mario touches the goop or gets shot by a pollution Parana plant this effect happened causing him to get overtime damage.

10:51 This feature is in the game. It is not a mystery and was not removed. Just dive into some goop and Mario will end up being covered in it. He'll be partially covered at first, but will eventually be completely covered if you stay in the goop long enough. Spinning and swimming both remove the goop.

Diving on the test level’s barrel causes it to be permanently overlayed on the screen. It’s very strange. Nothing else like it happens in the game.
The unused Yoshi head was most likely to take place for the Fludd nozzle on the bar, but was just replaced with the gut bar.
Finally beat the game after playing off and on for 13 years. I love the game so much, but never really tried to beat it. It's just too much fun to goof around.

The thing about the mysterious yoshi head, I think it would’ve been used when you would be riding yoshi because yoshi sprays out juice instead of water, so they had to choose something to display you were on top of yoshi. Though it would be enjoyable to have a yoshi head nozzle in sunshine.
