Always do the cabin air filter replacement periodically, so as not to smell an unpleasant odor in the cabin (cabin air filter is dirty).

For left hand drive vehicles. There is a small tray that holds the hidden cigarette lighter held in place by 2 nuts right under the glove box. That tray needs to be removed to easily pull the plastic that covers the air filter housing to avoid damaging the plastic tabs.

good info I've got a F48 but just got a few months ago and 2017 X1. Can you show the oil change I've not found one yet? I don't see the oil filter anywhere my guess it's must be below since that's I've not checked yet?
Its an oil filter cartridge thats within a reusable housing. The filter is not visible from outside the engine.

@@andyglade5522 Its on the passenger side facing towards the center console. Two nuts below the glove box, one on each side from underneath, pull the upper panel down, then take the pictured screw out and pop out that center panel.

You put the filters in facing the wrong way
Which way should the arrows point when replacing? Pointing towards the engine or towards the cabin?

Bottom filter towards cabin, top filter away from cabin

take note the direction markers on the originals that you take out ( take a photo). or switch the air con on and see where the air flows
why does the cabin need a filter?
You flip the filter around from when you first show it. VERY unclear what direction to install.

@@NikosKatsikanis I dont remember but I think there you need a 5 socket as well as regular philips screw driver Don't quote me on that tho lol
