My favorite thing about these is that they look good even when the system is turned off
can I dim them?
I have to admit, I've always considered myself an anti-RGB fan, but these look really good. If I ever come over to the dark side (or from the dark side?) I will definitely go with these.

I've been waiting for these. Especially since it seemed like they'd come out at the end of September. Oh well. They look super dope!
Still doesn't look like they are released just yet, or am I missing something?
This video is actually very helpful for me.
I'm building a custom rig and was having a hard time finding RGB strips which fit the design without loading more work for me.
Thx!
6:26 is when he actually turns it on
Love you too
This strip is probably the best I've seen so far, the fact there are no blinding hotspots makes it awesome as hell. I think I replace my 2 cablemod rgb strips with the 2x400mm strip combo, because the hotspot blinding at the wrong angle is annoying
These are so bad, I should’ve never listed to his advice, they look nice sure, but they don’t even light up my pc case, the brightness on them are sooo dim, at 100% they look like they are at 10%
@@dysnXOthis confirms that I will buy them as they aren't blinding thank you.
@@dysnXOBecause it’s a rgb strip with diffuser… it’s not meant to be extremely bright.
I love catching your new videos just as you make them because I know they are authentic. Thank you for staying real bitwit
I was looking at these online earlier, but couldn't find any decent videos on YT to get a good look at them. Thanks for uploading this!
Glad I haven't bought any LED strips for my new build yet. now waiting for these.
Finally!! I've been looking for RGB strips like this for a long time now! "Insert Take My Money Meme Here"
I think these are perfect for a tron themed build. The evenness of the lighting is spot on for that franchise.
I've been waiting for these! once my PC's up and running that's my next purchase
I like how there is a dead zone on the strip at the front of the case.
It's because he had too many LEDs on one header. That's all.
Your unlit DRGB at the top end of that vertical strip is because your 3A DRGB mobo header does not have enough juice for your three strips on that one header. Also, your "One D-RGB header supports up to" notation is wrong for the M1 and M4 strips and also badly worded. Here is a far better way to do the D-RGB amperage math for those Neon strips:
M1 1000mm Neon uses 1.8A
M5 500mm Neon uses 0.9A
M4 400mm Neon uses 0.72A
Assuming the 3-Neon chain is a M1 and two M4, with the M5 wrapping around the other mobo, you are drawing 3.24A, which exceeds what the 3A D-RGB header can supply. So the last bit of that one vertical Neon is not lighting up.
Although you can get these flexible DRGB diffused strips from Adafruit and AliExpress for half to one-third the price, these are nicely packaged for ease of use. I think they are the killer RGB product for 2019!!
*FACCS*
THE PEOPLE MUST KNOW
Yes, but how do I go about figuring out where to plug these into my mobo -- Asrock Taichi X370? I cannot find the solution anywhere....
Can you by any chance send the link to the lights?
need a link too mate
I don't use RGB fans in my build so I tossed a few of these in and they looks amazing. Diffused RGB looks great.
Of all tech channels I watch, you're the most charismatic. Thanks for the content.
You should make a video on how to sync cross-brand rgb products. EX: ASUS Aura Sync and Corsair ICUE.
My HP Omen Obelisk has a strange RGB controller I wish I could get more information on, would be nice to have something to unify that with my Razer keyboard and my Cooler Master fans...
that would be a 2 second long video where he just says "you dont" lol
ZuRriX I literally did it
@@josephronsse9371 How did you manage to do it? I bought a gigabyte mobo (apparently rgb fusion isn't very good), a phanteks evolv x case, and I'm planning to buy corsair rgb fans + corsair rgb ram. Do you think I'm gonna have problems trying to use all of those things?
Walde Peralta I have Corsair and asus stuff and now Corsair iCue has a plug in for aura sinc. I think Corsair also works with gigabyte too, but not 100% sure.
I was wondering when something like this would come out, and I am pleasantly surprised at the price. Nice job Phanteks.
It doesn’t show the price how much?
This was perfect for my recent case change.
I got a Phankteks Halo DRGB fan ring, but I got the wrong one that doesn't come with the motherboard plug. After seeing this I ordered the combo and added it to my case and plugged the Halo fan ring into the end and they all work together. Happy with the results.
Only issue is a found the double sided tape provided disn't want to stick to my case so I had to use some of my own double sided tape to get it to stay.
I was considering getting some of these. With how good they look AND working with chroma and aura sync I’m sold.
This is the nicest RGB strip I have ever seen.

Looks deadly bro like really really nice that colour flow and lumens produced is amazing, wow those are some bright assss strips I’m going to order these now wow
Hello! I just got phanteks rgb strips and they will stop lighting up on the maximum limit of LED's that your ARG hub/mobo chip can control; try swapping LED strips and you will see that the one you thought was deadge will light up and the previously full lit on will shut down half way. This is simply brilliant.
Just got a pack of the normal strips from them damn

Kyle is actually one of the most entertaining and helpful techtubers. at LEAST my top 5.
3:20 The strips are actually sideways and placed in the black part. There's a little bit of the white silicon in front of the leds (under the black on the other side) and it's all one piece with the white silicon at the front. By placing the strip sideways like this, they're able to diffuse the strip much better.
I thought this was a video of Kyle installing rgb strips in his living room..
6:27 when he decides to stop waffling and turn the damn things on.

That’s amazing, will be getting for my build!!!
8:20 the RGB strip makes those gears on the Taichi board look really cool.

"Thank you guys for velala lalalala!" Erm, OK SURE! Sick looking strips, on the wishlist!
I absolutely love these strips. Used two 1m strips in my Meshify 2 XL. Paired with diffuse rgb fans they look amazing. I had to plug them in to a hub individually. When daisy chained the last quarter of the last strip would not light up. PC can be seen on my channel.
I love RGB!
I been saying this for years. Why aren’t the led strips diffused! Finally!!!
Ooh man that looks so freaking awesome man!!
Ultimate buyer's remorse; I just bought Phanteks's old-style RGB strips last week before these were announced.
Return them
Why didn't it come pre installed with a magnetic strip?
Exactly! Then you wouldn't need all that hardware
Aluminium cases aren't magnetic, and you can install these sideways, the magnets/adhesive strips would show. Now, adding magnets to those channel things as an option, that's a good middle ground, right?
Also, Kyle could have used the hole on that 90º to mount it to the fan.
They did it so there wouldn't be any issues putting magnetic strips around the motherboard or GPU
Usually, when the end LEDs don't work like this, in addressable strips, it's because you've reached the maximum number of LEDs that the strip memory can handle. They have a very limited amount of space. Phanteks may even suggest only putting like 2 or 3 of them together in a series because of this limited memory on the strip.
This. I've also had instances where the strip's profile is just corrupted and reloading it from software/changing to another preset fixes it.
No, it's because the 3 strips draw more amps than the header puts out. They draw 3.24 amps, the header puts out 3.
the reason they only shine on one side is that inside there is a standard rgb strip, firing sideways into a reflector, which then shines out the one side with the even light.
also, you can cut them if they have tiny black dots down one side. the dots are the cut location.
Thanks to you I bought these and now my PC is 10x faster thanks Kyle!!
8:32 "This looks so much better than the traditional RGB stripper used to."
..is what I heard at first...
Raider 2747 I guess the picture that came to mind was more like a stripper with an RGB outfit.
Your interpretation is much cooler though. A stripper made of RGB light.. Wouldn't that technically be a hologram, possibly?

@@Xidification they have them for sale on their site
You can cut this style of strip with a sharp utility knife. it’s a similar flex PCB inside to those you’re already familiar with. You can also join the ends together, just like normal pixel strips. The only difference is the silicone overmold.
One trick to getting a tight 90° bend is to cut a wedge out of the overmold from the inside of the bend, being careful not to cut too deep. Thought this does kink the flex PCB inside, it should be fine if it isn’t flexed repeatedly.
Nice choice for the strips Kyle. I used them in the Bleach build here about a month ago and they work incredible.

What i want to know is how tight an angle can you force it in the "wrong" axis before it breaks, if it's pretty tight (as is suspect because it's made of mostly silicone) then this really is quite the game changer

Yeah I thought of this years ago - finally someone got it made. - dithering materials to eliminate the hotspots
I have the same motherboard as the one in that pc, good thing I'm seeing this!!
Just bought the M1 to replace 3 Cablemod ARGB strips. The only thing I wish they had done differently is make the silicone slightly more transparent. Seems it would throw out more light, but I could see uniformity and hot spots being an issue. Should hopefully go well with my silver G.Skill Royal memory.
The design they are using w/ 3 sides black and 1 side diffusing color allows for less total LED's to illuminate the strip.
I like, I just recently bought a Corsair set though... I really dig that light diffusion.
Thanks Kyle, now I have to spend more money to add more RGB to my rig 😆
Routed this out of my pc and under my desk so I could use it as a light strip linking razer chrome with it!
