I may have asked you this already, and if I did, I am sorry for being redundant! But will an engine from a 1986 fourtrax 200sx fit in the frame of a 1984 atc 200s? Or, do you know where I can go to find that out?
@@joelmcilroy1276 the best way is to look up the 2 different machines and compare the mounting points. I would guess No, because i have never herd of that swap. The 200sx is a highly sought after machine.
Anti-seize,Anti-seize,ANTI-SEIZE! on every bolt! That's been a god send for me on all my machines. There were definitely some butt puckering moments there. Great video buddy

Great detail and execution! Yeah those bolts were superman tight haha. I purposely use a smaller ratchet when working on my ATCs to prevent over doing it. Its real easy to get carried away, especially with 10mm and smaller size bolts/nuts.
The most nervous i have ever been working on a machine.
I wonder if a Gorilla did the last oil change and over tightened those bolts? 🙂 Always risky working on other people's "projects"

Another great video. I was changing the oil on my 85 350x on Friday and I didn’t notice the little O-ring I’m guessing for the oil return fell in the drain pain. So when started my bike and was checking for leaks I noticed a very small leak. I thought I must have roll the big O-rink on the cover putting it on but when I took it off I realized the small o-ring was missing. So that’s something to look for also. Great video I like always. A suggestion: Check the service manual for the torque specs for the drain plug and the three oil filter cover bolts and edit a graphic over the reassembly section so people know what the proper torque specs are. Likely only inch pounds on those 8mm bolts.

Yeah, those oil filter bolts were way to tight for an 8mm bolt, might of had lock tight on them, same for the oil drain bolt. It's been a while since that oil was changed for sure, being you mentioned something about gas in the oil and carb might be running rich, hopefully it didn't have an effect on the cylinder and piston rings along with the cam getting enough lube.. That is a nice looking 350X.
Could be lock tigjt, not sure. Yes i agree the carb was wrong and washing the ring, the exhaust was full smutt too. The oil definitely had fuel in it.

Yep I don’t like to do work for other people either. To much to risk. If I break my stuff it’s on me. It is in the 40’s here in the mornings and around 70 in the evenings. Last week high 80’s. Crazy
