Great video brother! I have a piece of PVC pipe I use to set the seal down into the fork during reassembly and it works great. I need to get one of those measuring cups though!! Geno wasn't helping very much in the background. Well, maybe that's the best way he can help... just staying out of the way?
@@robstrex yes, and depends how much and how aggressive you ride the machine. Usually guys will change fluid when the forks feel soft or the amount of riding they do. Seals should be replaced when they start to leak/seep
Hi, any ideas for shortening these? I have an XR500 that I'm converting to street tracker purely for the purpose of racing and I need the front to come down by 6-8 inches.
Best 350X fork build video on TH-cam!
Very much appreciated brother!
I think I need to make a video of me doing a fork rebuild while following Nick's instructions and see how duplicatable this is. lol
@@ThisOldTrikethat seems to be the thing to do!😂
Nice job brother
Great job and video bud
Thanks Lou! Appreciate it!
I dig your videos! ( south of 3 rivers area)
I ended up using my jack handle to push my seals down and flush lol. Good video man🤙👊💪

I have never thought of that!! And yeah the ratio rite cup works awesome! Funny you noticed that!😂
Been wanting to this to my forks but one side of the fork tubes are bent looking for replacement but no luck
Missed the part where u put the dampening rode in?
@@matthewweber8187 I forgot to put it in. Basically follow the same process of disassembly
Can you just empty fluid from the bottom and refill from the top if its not leaking? how long would you wait in between changing

🤷♂️
Did you mess up and forget to put the damping rod in before you put the upper part of the fork in. You skipped that part in the video
Possibly, can’t remember. Otherwise the process to reassemble is same as disassembly
