Thank you very much! We really love exploring and look forward to doing more of it in the future. We definitely want to expand our area. Eventually we would like to explore the whole country. Thank you for the comment!
I thought about doing another channel where I did in-depth videos on Old cemeteries that we run across. Just wasn't sure if there would be much of an audience for that but I have got several requests.
Unique name for a town "Friend" but a wholesome name for it as well. Looks very peaceful. The grave with no name or anything is kind of sad, forgotten for so long. Hopefully dont get to bad of winters there. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
I believe the town's name was actually friendsville at one time. It definitely is a nice name for a town. When is there can be pretty tough. Sometimes it's not so much the snowfall but the wind that gets you in the winter! I was hoping to find more information on who was buried there but I had no luck. Someone suggested that I check at the courthouse and see if they had any information. I will have to do that when I get back in town. Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
another great video Al! Really enjoyed hearing the background stories and stats. I actually watched this when it first came out, but I’ve been waist deep in a bathroom remodel project. i’d love to see you guys ramble through some more abandon houses. I’m not that familiar with the Nebraska area, so I really don’t have any suggestions for towns to visit. Be safe and have a happy holiday! Ron from Georgia.
The land survey records at a county courthouse usually give the deed, or dedication for a cemetery, date filed and location. Maybe get a bit more info at county records for births and deaths.
I have a house in North Mississippi where I was raised from 14 up. We are down here right now for Thanksgiving. We have thought about selling it but really like splitting our time between here and Nebraska. It's also very hard to think about selling this place. Too many memories here!
Please dont get distracted and laugh in a cemetary. Im not cross with you! But (to me) it seems disrespectful. I hope i have not offended you. Im old-fashioned. Great video, though.
I absolutely understand. She got spooked and then realized it was her own hair. I actually considered cutting that part out of the video completely because I was worried that it would come off as disrespectful as well. That definitely was not the intention. And if you ask me, the world needs a little more old-fashioned! Glad you like the video and thanks for the comment.
@whatsaroundthebend i hate to criticise but at the end, when you showed it to be a Squaw and her baby.....I understood that to mean she died in childbirth on that lonely plain, maybe alone. So sad but fascinating to see. RIP x 2 angels in heaven
Not meaning to be critical, but if you watch earlier videos you will see that Al and his family not only show great respect, but they also clean up abandoned cemeterys and gravestones. It’s clear that Faith was not disrespectful to the dead girl and baby. She is wary of insects and spiders because she gets bit and stung more than most folks do. Laughing at oneself is okay anywhere.
I used to not even include that into my stats. But a lot of people are interested in the makeup of an area. I have been requested to add all those stats when I do a Town video. I have never thought anything about it. There's definitely nothing weird about it. I have an editor that puts together my videos, I tell him to include all the stats off of the website city data and he fits them in wherever he can.
America is the “great melting pot”. It’s not weird at all to recant census data, which reflects the culture of the town. It seems that a lot of folks nowadays confuse race with racism.
Love the energy and positive vibes you three always give off. No other exploring channel out there does it better than you.

That's a great idea. I didn't even think about that. I will have to check into it when I get back into town.

@ I get it. I use to live in Alaska but MS kept calling me back.
It would be interesting to know why the town started
I will have to try to remember to put that in the video when I do another town.
Oh you do have a southern accent

im not american, but its really weird to see the first stat you pull is is about race.
