  • We head just outside Nashville, TN to explore what should be a stunning unpaved public road, Old Mill Creek Road. We expect to encounter at least a half dozen pristine creek crossings, a few mild washouts and a couple minor rock ledges. Just enough to keep things exciting, but simple enough that any stock 4x4 and probably most 2wd trucks and SUV's can make it.
Thanks for watching, I hope you love it!
Please remember to respect others property and leave places better than you found them.

@@BettyBanks-gt4ql Thanks Betty. Knowing that makes a difference. I have too many places I want to go and things I want to see to go there if it is closed off. Much obliged for the current information.

Lowell with Tread Lightly! here! Thanks for being respectful while you cross the creek and for picking up others trash! Appreciate your mentioning of being respectful of others, especially private property owners nearby. You don't happen to know who the land manager for this road is do you? I'm looking to host a project for a large company in Smyrna (you can guess who) and thought this might be a nice simple road to do a cleanup project and maybe get some signage on the water crossings that says to cross only, don't play in the water. The water looked so clear and beautiful! Thanks for doing your part and Protecting the Adventure so roads like this stay open for all to enjoy.

FYI: In Tennessee, and in the US in general, the waterway has to be navigable (by boat, from point to point - not just a section that you could float a boat in) to give a non-property-owner (guest) right-of-way. If it's not navigable, you are technically trespassing, and unless you are on public lands, if you are standing on the bottom of the creek, you are definitely standing on someone's private property.

There is a public fishing spot on this road that I found on TWRA app. My wife's Subaru Forester traversed that road quite well.

Me and 2 others walked this road back in 1999 starting at the northern side just passed Washer Rd. & ending at the southern part in the Bells Branch area. I recall 3 creek crossings that the road dropped straight off which made it impossible to drive. I saw that you said that there was a bridge over one crossing but did they fix the other ones?

Thank you! Not for this route I didn't. It's pretty smooth and hard packet.

Unfortunately I haven't actually done the Dirt Devil, so I'm not sure if it is a section of it or not.

I live on this road and it is closed. It is only accessible to local traffic and those who live on the road.

We live on this road. There is Absolutely no public land and you were trespassing in your video! You were not fishing in the first section! This road is closed to through traffic! We had trespassers today on our land. I beg you to remove this video! You may be respectful, but most are not! 😢
