For sure, more "stock friendly" would be great. Some of us newbies are still building confidence in our vehicles and learning what they're capable of. Thanks!
Thanks!
Please do more of these stock friendly videos. You guys are the best!
Thank you!
Oh yes please do more of this type of content. I just got back to Michigan after looking around London, Corbin, and summerset for a retirement areas. I can't wait to move down there the beauty in Ky is incredible. ♥️
Yes, it is.
Please more!! My wife and I because of your video came down today to run this route! Great day thank you for the preview!
Oh forgot ran Spaas and pumpkin last fall with your guidance also! Great content.
Cool! Thanks for watching
I live just north of Cincinnati and have been looking for this type of information so I can get out and about in my full-size truck. I am so glad that somebody has done this and would greatly appreciate if you are doing more of them. Thank you for your efforts!
Thanks for watching. We will definitely be doing more.
Please do many more of these videos
We definitely will.
Would love to see more "stock friendly" videos like this. I'm not set up for hard routes but would still like to get out there on a weekend trip when I can.
We will get some more stock friendly videos out.
Looked like a great family outing for the day capped of by an amazing light show.
Yes!
Thanks for sharing. A lot of adventure crammed into one video.
Yes
Beautiful place we love it. Big Like 💚
Thanks!
Yeah, this was a great option. Definitely vote in favor of more trips like this that don’t require all the investment in high end rigs. Being able to drive home has value.
Driving home is a good thing.
I’d love to see more stock trails!
We will be putting more videos out for stock rigs
Yes please do more trail guides
We will be putting out more videos out like this.
Love your accent!
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this guy. This is very cool. Really enjoy your videos in general.
Thank you!
Red River Gorge is one the best in class rock climbing destinations in the world. Been hiking and backing it for years.... just been wheeling it for a short time. Haha great video!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thanks for taking us along! What a beautiful ending!✌️
Thank you for following along.
Loved the video and hope to see you do more like this.
We definitely will be. Thanks for watching
Another great video. Thank you.
Thanks for following along
Awesome video as always Bill and Deb. Yes must definitely do more content like this video and can y’all do a video rating trails from easy to difficult.
Thanks, we will try and add more.
Great video! Finn says "Hello"
Thanks! Hello Finn.
From Pennsylvania here, missed you by a week, visited RRG last weekend and ran the DBBB . Lots of mud! Great trail and awesome views in the gorge. Keep the videos coming.
Thanks!
I enjoy the easy rides
Sometimes it's nice to relax.
Great video!
Thanks!
I like these type videos that say exactly where you are, what roads are taken and explain the terrain. Some folks only get to do one or two big trips a year and I'd hate to find myself knee deep in mud or crossing a boulder field when I wasn't prepared for it. It would be helpful in the comments if you could list the roads as spellings can be different that what you'd think. Callies vs Kellys for instance.
Thank you for watching. While I understand a lot of folks might use this video for research for their own adventure. The level of detail that you are requesting can be found in the gpx file of this trip on our Patreon page
@@CoddiwompleOverland Good to know. I'll look into it.
Great!
Looked like a cool place. Close enough to Virginia where I am going to have to do some research on it and see about getting some maps. Yes, I love paper maps.

@@CoddiwompleOverland Thanks!! That saved me a little internet searching.
Welcome!
Appreciate your high quality podcast! I’m 78 and suffering from bad health, can’t travel any more. Want to give you some advice. A Kentucky Department of Resources told me and my wife to pack a 50 caliber handgun. That was after I shot and killed a wolf that was over 8 ft. Walked on its hind legs. Had a haunting aurora about it even when dead. The officer said I should not say anything no photos. He said Cherokee have been at war with these things 2000 yrs. He said these are Devil made according to Elders. Wife descendent. In Michigan we are required to but silencer to be on shooting range. I also have laser I can drop a moose at 300 yds. Some states illegal, he said hide it save your life. I took him out at 50 yds eye shot blew off top of his head. Officer told me if he could of gotten to us he would of ripped us limb for limb. 😮.
😮That's quite a story.
More like this please
Definitely will be more.
Your timing is great! Got a stock AWD SUV with decent ground clearance, and will be coming down to that area the first weekend in June for the Overland Vehicle Summit. Will probably mark up a map (or OnX online) while rewatching this video. Thanks!
That's great!
Wonderful!
Thanks!
It’s so cool!
Yes!
Love the DBBB! Great video. Thanks!
We do also! Thanks for watching.
@@CoddiwompleOverland by the way, beautiful pic of the Gladiator and Northern lights!
Thank you!
Great Stuff!
Thanks!
Good content. Unfortunately, like the jeep badge rating system, the trails can change drastically seasonally.
Is old walker creek washed out completely yet? Love that trail but last year it was pretty sketchy with the narrow washout!
You are correct about trails changing. Old Walker is very sketchy. The last time we saw it, I would not take my rig across it.
There's an un-met need from the off-road van community which you may be be able to provide; can you find, and drive, trails that 4x4 or AWD Transits (148 non-extended) and Sprinters (144) can drive? There are varying roof-heights for these vans so expecting that to be a limiting factor too. I am one owner who is interested spending time in these areas but just don't know where to go. The West receives plenty of love but think KY, TN are just as deserving. Any help is always welcome.
The first thing I would caution is 4 wheel drive is different than AWD. I wish I could help, but we have no experience in a van. Any advice that I would give would be purely speculation.
This is a very helpful and just the video I was looking for … Is there any way to share your exact route.
Our route will be on our patreon shortly.

Any chance of a map layout if your route?
sometimes an easy ride is ok.
✅️
Thanks for this! Been wanting to do some of the DBBB but wasn’t sure where to go with my Silverado with ATs and not worry the wife that we’d be stuck lol. What’s the start and finish of this section?
We started and ended this loop at Callie’s Campground
@@CoddiwompleOverlandWhere is the Tucker Cave? I can’t find it on Google Maps
What app is that you are using for the map?
Gaia and Avenza
How do you think a stock F-150 would do along those routes? I don't doubt my old stockish JKU could've done it, but the F-150 is a little lower and doesn't have the undercarriage protection.
You wouldn’t have any problems at all in your F150
Hello, any idea how much clearance is required to drive this trail?
Not exactly sure of exact clearance
do you think a stock outback wilderness could do this trail?
Take your time, and you should be fine. The hardest parts are shown on the video. Check the creeks for high water before going through.
