The journey begins at Copenhagen Airport and footage includes a mini tour of this airport. Information is also given about Immigration cards passed out onboard for passengers entering Thailand at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). The footage also includes our approach to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), the landing, taxiing and arrival at gate. I was lucky enough to fly with Thai airways in 2014 from Joburg to Bangkok and from there to Phuket and back, sadly Thai airways not flying to South Africa since then😢 Thank you for sharing!
Such a pity that Thai Airways does not fly to SA anymore. It is strange that they don´t? There seem to be plenty of South African tourists when we are in Thailand at places like Phuket and Koh Samui. Hello Maxi and Mara, I'm a rather new scubsriber and have been going through your catalogue of trip reports the latest month. I'm very impressed and grateful for your work to document the very special atmosphere of joy and expectations that comes with a long haul flight to a holiday destination.
Especially I appreciate that the bulk of your trips are from economy class. It can be fun to watch some "levemand" going from first class to first class flight across the globe. But being a hardworking single father with a handicapped son and one who pays the ticket with own money it's economy class that's actuall. We will go on our first holiday for more than ten years this summer.
The long haul will be on Cathay Pacific in CX254 from LHR to HKG and we will cherish every moment of the trip just as our time at the destination. Thank you again!

We both really enjoy the atmosphere of a Long Haul flight (journey) and that is what we try to capture and share with other travelers in our videos, it´s nice to hear that we are able to do this. We would also both love to fly Business if we could (we have normal 9-5 real world jobs) but it is expensive. That being said we always have a good time flying Economy Class anyway :-D You must both be very exited about your upcoming Long haul flight, we would be too. I told my wife that when we fly out of CPH in October, we'll have to stop at Burger King before out flight, because that's what Maxi and Maro would do.

What an enjoyable vid! My daughter and I have watched it 3 times already! 😅. Again; vastly informative, great humour, food galore (burger king looked fab!). We had to laugh at Maxi (sorry!) for eating the chilli! 😂. We've actually booked to go to Orlando, Florida in Feb '20, flying with Virgin so got excited kids! Burger King was fantastic as always, it´s not a proper flight if it does not begin with Burger King or a visit to the Lounge like we have also been doing lately! We have not tried them, but we have only heard good things about the quality of the airline (we have friends who have flown with them between London and South Africa). Hi to my favourite travelling couple. It took a bit of time but I finally managed to view your trip report. As always, it's a real pleasure to see you embark on another long haul trip because, you know, we are tagging along (yay) and in my favourite plane - the 777-300ER. Love the spooling up sounds of the great 777 engines. In my opinion it's the best, compared to the bzzzzz of the A320 or the muted roar of the A380.
Love to see you visiting Burger King before you start your flight, it's a tradition that must be honoured. (Btw, a Burger King outlet has opened only 200 metres from my house..he he)
Interesting sight at the airport regarding Qatar and Emirates, the two political "enemies" (for now at least) are parked side by side 😄!
So funny (sorry) to see Maxi having another food crisis, after the Korean Air soy something or other. You have nicely arranged the 3 c items - cake, cognac and coffee!
I agree it's a good idea to keep the seatbelts on, especially after what happened to the Korea to Japan flight and the Turkey to USA flight.
Anyway, great to see you guys again and hope to see you soon in another vlog.

Goodmorning from Penang, Malaysia! Hi there Ziauddin, good hearing from you. Thanks for watching our Trip Report onboard the 777 which is also our favorite aircraft (when we can get the 2 seaters). The spooling up of the engines is a must to include for us aircraft fans :-D Burger King is an old tradition which I (Maxi) have always had before a flight when it was available and when there was time and it is nice that it can also be part of Maro and my travels together. That said, we have recently more and more begun using Paid Lounge Access as that is a real value for money option, with food, drinks and comfortable seating available while waiting - this option can be recommended. Great airline their economy seat are about 1 inch wider than most. The food is always good. And their business class seats are one of the best to sleep in.

Great video. Makes me look forward to travelling again. Regarding filming by the wing, I've always preferred being seated either a little ahead of the wing or behind the wing. I've never liked the filming I have done when sat right next to the wing. I'll upload the videos sometime in the future.

I travel only business class. For me a must. Nice relaxing, enough space and not that cramp seat in economy class. I know, it cost more, but it's so rewarding for yourself.
Or do as I did 16 years ago... moving with my family to Thailand for a new start. Europe was already not anymore the Europe I lived in. Now we enjoy every day warm and cheaper in every matter.

Air France has this Poir Willams Liquor that I love along with Cognac and Champagne in Economy Class. On my last AF flight they ran out of Champagne and gave me the one from Business Class. Lufthansa also did the same for me as well!

The best place in an aircraft - especially in a 78 meter long - is behind the cockpit. The further back you go the noisier it gets and when you sit at the wings you feel almost every wind gust or movement of the fuselage. The wings are transmitting all movements to the middle of the plane. If you sit in the last row you experience a real bumpy ride. The tail even from a mighty and heavy plane is always moving. From the left to the right and back. The wind smashes the whole time against the horizontal stabilizers and that causes also movements. Further in the front you feel much less or nothing. It's not a miracle. It's aircraft building.

Great video, loved seeing all the food. I get a kick out of Maxi's trusty Pulsar watch. I'm guessing gin and tonic for Maxi, not sure on Maro's drink. I get just as giddy as you all when I'm flying on a long trip. It's funny you all like Burger King so much. I never eat them here in Houston. But I did have a couple of them in Zurich train station last year and they were better than here in Houston. I'm flying IAH-HNL first of June so I'll be excited on that flight. It's 777.

Lately we have also been using the Airport Lounges (paid access) as this is a good value for money deal, food and drinks ad libitum with a comfortable place to sit and relax. I flew to Bangkok for a tour from LA via Beijing and had no Jet Lag. We arrived to our hotel at 3 AM and woke up at 7 AM and was on schedule the same day. On the return I slept on the plane to LA and they stayed awake until arriving San Jose CA and slept for 12 hours and had no jet lag.

Not sure what Maro had in that Coke but I am guessing Maxi was having a Gin and Tonic. I was watching while on the exercise bike at the gym. Came home and made myself a Gin and Tonic and watched the rest of the video. Great report. Would love to fly Thai Airways someday.

We flew with Thai Air in July 2023 cph-bkk, service is not the same anymore. and the ticket is very expensive now, you should make a new report about Thai Air.
We actually flew with them in June/July 2023 also. Watch out for future videos. What service did you find was not the same anymore?
@@TravellerYT No drinks and snacks after takeoff, only food that was served quite quickly, with two mouthfuls of wine, and then good night, no hot wet napkins. the planes are starting to look old inside, seats and screens that don't really work, at least where we sat, and of course, plastic glasses and cutlery

If you havent flown on emirates A380 try it they have economy bottom deck and part of top deck i used to fly them all the time from manchester to bangkok and back but now i tend to use qatar as we dont have thai airways direct from manchester only from heathrow

Whoops, forgot. I highly recommend flying the A380 if you have not done that. I love the aircraft. I flew on Lufthansa IAH-FRA. I selected the small economy class section on the upper dead in the rear. It's a small section and you get drinks and meals very fast. Not sure if other airlines have that arrangement but I loved it.

I was surprised, when I and the family had seats on row 71,72 the top luggage compartment. Was for crew only. Yes we where luckly to be first in the plane som we could store on some other top compartens. Is it the same if you remember with Row 38,39? For Crew only.

Who cannot love Burger King!?! HeHe, to be quite honest we have also developed a taste for visiting Airport Lounges (you see them in some of our recent videos). We go to "Paid Access" lounges as drinks and snacks are available at a fixed price in a comfortable environment - which is very good value for money, we can recommend that too :-D

Don't use the USB to charge your devices. The output power in the USB are so low, it will take for ever to charge your devices.
Use the power outlet under the seat to change your devices instead.
The USB are there to allow you to play content from a USB device directly on the in flight entertainment system.
In some cases it can be used to illegally acces personal data on your devices without your knowledge. Never plug you mobilephone to a USB port that you do not know if safe or not.

Hi Maxi, what is the Probleme with the only one Chilly ? I’m married with a Thaiwomen, all so I eat a lot of Red and Green Chilly, but I no have Probleme with this! The best is when You eats Chilly, then eat a lot of Rice behind and then sharpness is go away 😉😉😉

i was flying 2018 to Phuket...Thai airways was good inkluding food and Service but the legroom: ( it ws horrible for me..i fly around 10 hours....its hard to understand who plan this in a aircraft? they are people sitting for hours cant move around its realy .....
