Tripreport - THAI AIRWAYS Long-haul Economy Class Boeing 777 Flight - Copenhagen to Bangkok Airport

- Airline Trip Report. This is a flight review (Tripreport) of our Thai Airways Long-haul Economy Class flight from Copenhagen Airport, Københavns Luftavn (CPH) to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) onboard a Thai Airways Boeing 777 passenger aircraft. Our flight report begins at Copenhagen Central Station where we are catching the Øresund train to Copenhagen Airport´s Terminal 3 where we arrive and check-in for our Thai Airways flight to Bangkok Airport (Suvarnabhumi Airport ).
Once we have checked in for our Thai Airways flight we take the viewer on a walk around Copenhagen Airport together with us. The trip report then continues where we re boarding our Thai Airways flight. The viewer walks with us through the Business Class and Economy Class cabins, right to the end of the aircraft where our two seater window seat area is located. After viewing the pushback, taxing and takeoff of our Thai Airways Boeing 777 we proceed to present this aircraft's Economy class cabin. We cover topics such as the inflight blanket and pillow, the inflight entertainment system, the leg room at our seats, the seat tray, the USB charging device for smartphones and iPads etc. Once the flight is underway we are served some peanuts and a drink (this in flight service is free of charge throughout the flight). Following our drink we present our in flight meal (dinner) to the viewer. Once we have eaten the viewer is also given a tour of the aircraft's lavatory and rear galley. Once morning arrives and we begin to get closer to Bangkok we are once again woken by the crew and given a nice warm facecloth which is followed up by the serving of breakfast. The breakfast in-flight meal is then also presented to the viewer. After breakfast the aircraft begins final approach to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and eventually lands and taxis to our parking place. We then disembark onto the tarmac and are driven to the airport terminal in buses.
We had a comfortable and enjoyable flight onboard this Thai Airways Boeing 777 flying from Copenhagen, Denmark to Bangkok, Thailand. The crew was friendly, professional and attentive. The cabin was clean and had an airy interior. Legroom was the usual area provided in economy class on long haul flights. All inflight drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic where available Ad-libitum and free of charge. This complimentary meals and drinks are a service that we appreciate and do hope Thai Airways will continue providing. We would fly with Thai Airways on this route at any time and at the time of writing would highly recommend this airline for long haul flights to and from Bangkok, Thailand.

FANTASTIC flight review......GREAT JOB and thumbs UP!
I had a lot of TG flights in 1994 (FRA-BKK-HKG-BKK-HKT-BKK-FRA) with their B747-200/-300/-400 and A300-600s and I was really impressed about their "Royal Orchid Service". (In the '90s one of the best airlines in the world...no Emirates, no Qatar, no Etihad...!)

Very nice overview of the whole flight experience, Thai Airways looks like a great way to begin a trip to beautiful Thailand. It's always a great experience to fly on the 777, my favorite aircraft I've flown on yet. Great video!

Hehe... Burger King before a flight is an awesome tradition isn´t it??!! I (Maxi) have been doing this before every flight since the 90´s and taught Maro the tradition too! Fantastic flight review, as usual! The service seemed very good. It's definitely nice there are still some airlines that don't charge for drinks in economy class. The dinner looked also nice, something that cannot be said about every airline's economy class meals! Good to see you two had a pleasant flight! :D
Thanks for your very kind words RVNspotting, we did indeed enjoy this flight! We are always pleased when drinks are complimentary, and believe that it should stay that way on long-haul flights. Airlines should just add the 20 euros or whatever the charge (cannot be much more than that?) to the air ticket! If there are two airlines flying the same route at the same price, we will always choose the airline offering the most value and comfort to the passenger. Thanks for watching and commenting :-D
+Traveller are there any airline which charges for drinks on long haul flights?
Hi Higan, we have already experienced it on one long-haul (Northern European Airline/Oneworld Member). In Economy Class alcoholic drinks were complimentary with the meal after that they were charged for/ soft drinks free. We can also see that another major Northern European airline (Star Alliance member) also has the same policy for economy travelers, they also give a drink with the meal and charge for alcoholic and (looks like) non-alcoholic drinks too. If in doubt visit the airlines webpages and read about the inflight services they provide. Thanks for watching and commenting :-D

Excellent report of TG B77W to BKK from CPH. Nice to see the airport in CPH. Sitting in the very back of the plane. Meals look saap. Your drink can be Rum coke :) Bloody Mary mix is yummy. Seatback TV with USB is nice. Never seen the toilet has baby changing diaper in mirror. Powerful takeoff and smooth landing. Parked at tarmac and long bus to the terminal.

The drink we are having is a Whiskey Cola, it´s a traditional drink we have to start off a flight or holiday, and who can say know to a nicely mixed Bloody Mary. Very happy to see you've enjoyed a nice holiday in beautiful Thailand. A flight with good service from aircrew is always a real pleasure. Your 777 flight reminded me of the time I flew in a Biman 777 to KL. Damn good aircraft! BTW, I think your traveling pants still look good enough for a couple more trips!
We can only say good things about our visits to Thailand and the same goes for this trip! The Thai Airways Boeing 777 economy cabin interior is fantastic and yes it is a lovely aircraft too! We are hoping to get the opportunity to fly with the Thai Airways Airbus A380 one day in the future, that would be a fun and very interesting Thai Airways Trip Report to make! Pants are still ok yes, but I am hoping to find some similar ones before they no longer can be used! Definitely the best smart/casual type of long pants to fly with in my opinion. Just watching this now as our next journey is Thai airways London to krabi via Bangkok , decided to go down there and visit the islands etc and base ourselves in ao nang , can’t wait , nearly at the end and yet again superb video and detail . I must say this looks a lovely airline

Traveller - Trip Reports & Travel Videos we are heading there on December 4th for 14 days 3 of which in Bangkok, whilst writing this you have made me laugh because your so polite , I’m watching finair and first words I hear look at that crap entertainment system lol it did look older than me Im 48
Oh lovely that you are getting away from the winter cold! We spent 2 weeks in Bangkok a few years back and enjoyed it. Did a few excursions from there to places like the The River Kwai Bridge, very interesting excursion. HaHa you caught it the "C" word, actually that was left in the video purposely as a few words like that do somehow sneak out when dissatisfied with a product or in pressed situations (we get annoyed too) , that is probably not the last one you will hear in these vids HeHe :-D That being said, that is an old Trip Report and Finnair has since then changed these aircraft to the new Airbus A350´s, we have not tried them yet but from the photos we have seen from the Economy Class cabins the interior is now fully updated! Gorgeous looking aircraft it’s got wooden floors in the galley. I love nose when the 777 flap retract!
It is a lovely aircraft and like you we also appreciated the "wooden" floors. The lavatories had the same floor as the galley. Great report and I was intrigued to see that , even in the dark , at 1:06:30 , the motorway turnoff that means less than a minute to touchdown was clearly recognisable.

Great Video, it was as if I was on my flight to BKK (I have been there 13 times but usually Cathay Pacific) I will try Thai Air from LAX - BKK nextime ... Cathay Pacific never credited me for 20,000 miles on a cancelled flight ...so time to rack up some miles with THAI AIRWAYS!

Thank you for a nice video :-). Have you tried the self service check in ? You are supposed to be able to choose seats and drop off the baggage at the thai baggage drop counter so you can skip the waiting line...
You are very welcome! We usually use the self service check-in at Copenhagen Airport and then queue at the Thai Airways baggage drop. Our seats are always reserved a few days after we book the tickets so no need to find a seat at the last minute when checking in online or at the airport. One thing I admire about scandinavians, you guys speak english besides your native language. That makes you broad-minded, unlike "other" Europeans.

Amazing, the first time I've ever watched a 1 hour 20 mins flight video - how did you manage to make it stay interesting? We are due to fly back from BKK to LHR on a 777-300 with Thai this summer so I was interested to see your flight - good to have some part of the movie involving your wife too! Good luck and thanks again! PS Amazing shots at "crack of dawn" as you landed at Suvarnabhumi! And I always like the flickering lights of India when you can get to see them on that pre-dawn stretch...cheers
