- Flying with Taiwan´s Airline! China Airlines (Taiwan based) This is a China Airlines Flight Review where we flew with Taiwan based China Airlines in Economy Class onboard one of their Boeing 777 aircraft from Taipei, Taiwan to Frankfurt, Germany. This China Airlines Flight Report begins at the Gate after we have Checked-in for our China Airways flight and walked through the airport.

As mentioned our China Airlines Economy Class Flight Review begins at our Gate at Taipei Airport (Taoyuan International Airport). In this Flight Report we will include the Boarding of our China Airlines Boeing 777 aircraft. As we board the aircraft you will see the Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class Cabins. Our China Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Taipei was in Premium Economy Class and we have already made a Trip Report for that flight which can be viewed here: • Review China Airlines ... This Flight Review will show you the full China Airlines Economy Class Inflight Experience and includes Pushback of the aircraft, taxiing to the runway and takeoff from Taipei Airport. Once our aircraft is in the air we show you the China Airlines Amenities which include headphones and an Amenity Kit, We also show you the seat area where we look at China Airlines Economy Class Legroom on a Boeing 777, the adjustable headrest, the USB Port on the seat for charging mobile phones etc. and of course also the Inflight Entertainment System (IFE). During this China Airlines Flight we were offered to hot Inflight Meals, and Inflight Dinner and an Inflight Breakfast as well as complimentary Inflight drinks and snacks throughout this flight from Taipei to Frankfurt. Other thins we will show you in this China Airlines Flight Review include a Tour of the Lavatory located at the back of the aircraft and a look at reading material such as the Inflight Magazine, the Safety Onboard Card, the Wi-Fi onboard connection Instructions, the Duty Free Shopping Magazines and of course the Air Sickness Bag is also looked at.
We then begin our approach to Frankfurt Airport. This China Airlines Flight Review includes the Approach, Landing and Taxiing to the Gate at Frankfurt Airport. We very much enjoyed flying with China Airlines in Economy Class and can highly recommend China Airlines as an airline to fly with to fellow travellers. China Airlines Economy Class and Premium Economy Class were very good and we hope to try China Airlines Business Class in the future. A big thank you from us to the professional and friendly China Airlines Flight Attendants who made this China Airlines Economy Class flight a very memorable one!

I'm a Japanese person who loves China Airlines. I use it often. Travel with Taoyuan Airport Transportation to destinations such as the United States, Canada, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. By the way, one of the flight attendants in the photo is Japanese, and China Airlines treats Japanese flight attendants well. Also, the video the photographer is using is made by the Japanese company Panasonic. I'm jealous that you have a good video camera.

It’s common for Chinese to drink warm water to maintain our health :) In general we try to avoid drinking iced water if we can help it. I loved your China Airlines review, thank you for posting!

Great to have another vid to take us away from everything!!! I’ve been watching some of your older reports. It’s nice to see more of Maro on the newer ones and to have the audio 👍. Our son flew China airways Heathrow to Sydney via Beijing about 4 yrs ago. He wasn’t terribly impressed, although he’s hard to please. He said he wouldn’t fly with them again. Maybe he was unlucky and just had an off flight. Stay safe!!!

Good morning Dave! We hope you are well down in your end of the world. Here in Denmark, the government has started a very careful re-opening of some businesses and services. We hope that it goes well so that we are able to slowly start taking small steps towards what we once called normal! Despite this virus bringing travel companies to their knees we still think it will be a long while before borders again open up, unless a vaccine or treatment is found in the near future. The food onboard this Economy flight was not too bad but we enjoyed the meals more on the Premium Economy flight with them to Taipei. We Taiwanese have the habit of drinking warm water to warm the stomach. Drinking warm water can also protect the throat.

Fantastic review and what a lovely airline with exceptional crew . It’s an airline I really want to try and Taipei a city or country how ever you look at it lol . I was reading last week about them changing their name but don’t know when or the reasons behind it . Meals in my honest opinion wasn’t really for me but of course we’re all different and like different things etc and I’m sure another flight could be a better experience for you . We can highly recommend flying to Asia with this airlines as there is sufficient space in the Economy Cabin and the crew as you can see are very friendly, efficient and professional. The food in Economy could have been better as you yourself mention. If you were to fly with this airline we would highly recommend flying Premium Economy! Premium Economy with China Airlines is one of the best onboard experiences we have had to date, even though we were unable to sit together. Watford Fc Hello, changing name issue is due to China airline may cause the misunderstanding to customers about which country this airline belongs to. Taiwan’s official name is Republic of China which is similar to People’s Republic of China which is real China, that’s the reason.

My traveling companion and I had those same seats on our China Airlines 777 flight from Taipei to San Francisco. We loved them. No stranger sitting with us on a 13.5 hour flight! Also, extra storage under the three seats in front of us!

going back to 87 we flew leeds to Amsterdam but connection was the following day to Bangkok but they paid for accommodation at the schipol hilton for three of us with vouchers for meals and drinks and that was economy great airline.

Great Videos. I am heading to BKK through Taipei in Premium Economy. I hope it is as pleasant as your trip. So LAX to Taipei in 777. TPE to BKK in A350. Better than Baggage..lol
It looks you had a good flight. Decent meals and I was a bit surprised you got an amenity kit in economy class. The entertainment system looks really great and modern. I never flown with china airlines before but the hardware product is definitely better than Air china and Sichuan Airlines offer for longhaul flights.
Godmorgen Mr Wang! :-D We really enjoyed flying with China Airlines and the service on both flights was very good, although we enjoyed the flight between Amsterdam and Taipei most in Premium Economy. Like most other people the names China Airlines and Air China actually confused us. Our original intention when we booked (with our online travel bureau) was to fly with Air China and when we booked we did not think too much about the name, just assuming they were the same. We only found out that they were two very different airlines when we called Air China directly to book/choose our seats, naturally they could not find us in their booking system, and then we found out that there was a difference HeHe! From some of the comments we have had under this video (some of them deleted) many people do not know that China Airlines and Air China are two different airlines. That said, we do very much hope to get the chance to fly with Air China one day so that we can also experience their products. Peter a big thank you to you again for becoming one of our channel members, nice to have you onboard. I flew China Airlines in 2018. Frankfurt / Taipei / Sydney. A 350 economy. Good airline. No bumpy flights. Very very smooth air.

That meal looks like it's a first-class meal compared to the meal I had on Lufthansa SFO to Munich flight. That Lufthansa meal was the nastiest I ever had on any economy. class. long haul flight. I am flying CAL SFO to Taipeh next week.

These are two very different airlines ;-) Air China serves the Chinese mainland and China Airlines, which this Flight Review is about, serves Taiwan. i.e. Air China and China Airlines are individual airlines.

That is why Taiwanese people want China Airlines to change its english name, to help people know it is from Taiwan, but it is hard, because it may related to political issues with China.
the reason why Taiwanese aircraft called China Airline because of the history issue. In 60s, most of the countries in the world were still recognized Republic of China (Taiwan government) is the only China in the world and CI Airline was found in 1960s.

I tell people CI is from the Island of Taiwan, as a way to help remember.PS. Chinese people prefer warm/hot water over cold water. They think it’s better for the body. I learned this from my coworkers.
China Airlines is my favorite Airline. It is really comfortable being able to speak Chinese on an Aircraft. The Chinese from the Mainland sound very strange and inarticulate. It is so much more pleasing to hear normal Chinese.

Just watched this again as I’m about to book flights with China airlines but via Frankfurt. The reason not direct from London Gatwick is down to them using an a350 and they don’t have twin seats . If we fly via Frankfurt it’s the 777 and we would sit where you did . For such a long flight we want it to just be us so I can spread all over mags lol she would love that hey I think not 😂 cheers and keep smiling and of course maro your in our thoughts x love❤😊

Hi Max , answer to your question about the food you and Maro eating. food not good and oily . In January 2020, I took Air Canada Business Class ( 18 hrs ) flight to Singapore , transit 6 hrs in Hong Kong. I know I paid extra for the cost of flight but is worth it. The seat , foods, Services and Lounges . Trust me try it sometime and you know what I am talking about.

We found the food to be ok for Economy Class but as we mentioned some of the meat was very fatty. Your Business Class Trip sounds fantastic and we can imagine how much better that is than Economy, but you get what you pay for. That said we would love to fly Business Class on some of the Long-haul routes we do. On our flight from Amsterdam to Taipei we flew China Airlines Premium and in our opinion that was a very good service, also the food. Have a look at our China Airlines Premium Economy video. The 777-300 is so long, they should offer shuttle buses from the boarding door to those seated at the rear! Wow.

The airplane air is dry, so many Taiwanese people (especially older adults) prefer warm water to drink. They think it's nicer for your airway, so it doesn't dry out. (Just my guess)

Do you request cockpit visits?
We used to but gave up years ago when passengers were no longer allowed into the cockpit during the flight. We are often in a hurry to get to the next flight after a flight and the cockpit crew are busy before a flight. Thanks for watching our video!

Many viewers are getting confused between Air China (serving the Chinese Mainland) and China Airlines. To be quite honest when we originally booked this trip we did not know the difference either, we thought we were flying with Air China! We only found out when we called Air China to pre-reserve our seats and they could not find our booking. China Airlines was an excellent flight experience and now we are waiting to try Air China in the future (which was actually the original plan). Have a good day.

I always use airsickeness pills , therefore the Barfbag is no issue for me anymore , only my first flight to south-east Asia in 1993 I was sick like a dog because I forgot the pills😒😒 , after that I always used them with succes !
Lukewarm water I think it's in the cabin the air is dry and cold lukewarm water should goes down easily and warm the inside 😅 when my family moved to USA the only plane is747 😅 that was about fifty years ago the only entertainment was after meal stwernes will pull down a screen and play a move😅 and that was It no games no choice of movies 😢 WiFi has been invented yet 😂 so I would have a book to read and it's a thick book too 😂 I don't remember what kind of meals I had but as a teenager I would eat anything in front of me 😂 but now the plane are so advanced with a monitor for each passenger and seats looks comfortable in those old days the seat till back and that can cause problems with the people in the back because he would lose some space and 😅 that alishan bag is name after Ali mountain in Taiwan it's a popular tourist spot during the new year's day people will go up there and watch the first sun rise of the New Year San means mountain so the biscuit out is shaped like a mountain because of high altitude of the plan people taste buds will change unless food is salty or else it's hard to taste it the noodles is made from Rice flour not wheat so it's lighter, My parents flew to frankfur during the seventy's for business and it's on 747 jumbo jet at times it's the only plane can fly that long but now we have several planes can do it 😅 and next phase will probably electric planes 😢

Thank you for sharing. 53:00 Taiwanese always drink warm water, even during the hot summer ( I live in Taiwan )they believe cold water is bad for your health so you will always be served luke warm water unless requested otherwise. Thanks for watching our video. It would probably help to remove some confusion. When we booked our flight with this airline we actually thought we were booking with Air China as we wanted to try flying with them. After a confusing telephone conversations with Air China who could not find our booking (we wanted to reserve seats) we found out that we were booked with China Airlines. Up until then we thought they were one in the same airline somehow. We have never regretted that mistake and absolutely loved flying with China Airlines. We are now waiting to get the chance to try and fly with Air China which was the original plan, hopefully that will happen in the near future!
China Airlines should be named after the country. Change it to the name of a island is like the country do not exist anymore.

We have been reading about that too. That means that air tickets will probably be more expensive too.
@@TravellerYT Maybe, but then the airlines need to get passengers after the slump. Could go either way but they'll probably keep checking temperatures from now on, no crowding at gates, plastic wrapping over food trays. Mini sanitizers in amenity kits.
