must be very short trip for boeing 777. i was on a boeing 777 all way from copenhagen to bangkok suvarnabhumi but i guess it could be neccessary to fly many passengers at once, but great video
Great video, brings back awesome memory's. Those were the days when Thai used heavy's to fly the 1.25 hour flight between Bangkok and Phuket. But i don't think ill ever forgive them for swapping last minute the 747 that was scheduled for our flight. I don't think ill ever get to fly one now that airlines are retiring them all.

The 777 300 ER remains one of my favourite aircraft, so you can imagine how excited I am for the 77X in the near future..... I must say although a short flight Thai airways looks very comfortable and the comfort matches that of so many airlines, so I would live to try longhaul Thai one day...🙏
We are also looking forward to trying the new 77X one day in the future, we wonder what may differentiate it from the "normal" 777 from an Economy Class passengers perspective! We have flown Long-haul with Thai Airways a few times between Copenhagen and Bangkok and have always had an excellent Economy Class experience with them. I flew from Phuket to Bangkok, it was a late night flight, and the pilot was in a hurry, and he started his roll out before the the safety video was finished. It was a 74.🇦🇺

Lovely video report and yes watching maro was like watching mags in regards to shopping . I actually walk quicker when passing the shops and say no before she even looks lol honestly it’s like we have endless money at times and we certainly don’t lol . Very enjoyable

Thanks for a great trip report! When we flew out of HKT in 2016, was still the old terminal, Burger King cost us around 800baht! Pity you missed the Jumbo, not sure if we will every get a chance to fly on one now!

@@TravellerYT no alcoholic drinks on domestic flights - they can’t be bothered to pay for duty, international flights don’t charge alcohol duty. And anyways Bangkok-Phuket is a very short flight. You could definitely buy a can of Chang or Singha before boarding though!

We always enjoy our flights with Thai Airways delayed or not, but we were very disappointed that our aircraft was changed to a Boeing 777 instead of the Boeing 747 (Jumbo) we were meant to fly with. It's weird but I really miss those tropical thunderstorms that just come out of nowhere and last only an hour. Can't wait to travel to that part of the world again! Which hotel did you stay at in Phuket - we're trying to narrow down a place to stay at when we next go (after the pandemic of course).

Reason for delay "late arrival of aircraft." No shit Sherlock!! It's about time airlines started showing more respect for customers and giving the real underlying reason for the delay. That said, Thai are up there in the top ten for long-haul (in my view).

Thai airways has the most horrid economy seats... Been on 1 flight on those economy seats of Thai and never EVER again.. Everytime I fly locally in Thailand I much rather pay the little extra that business class seats cost as there is a world of pain of difference... Maro is always thrilled that Thai Airways Long-haul aircraft always offer a footrest, something not available on all airlines in Economy Class (on Long-hauls). Business will always be better no matter the airline or aircraft type. We are not yet sure when the Lufthansa flight will be ready as it requires a hefty amount of editing. Most airports are shopping malls now. Too many bored people with plenty of money to spend ! King Power Duty Free shops are notoriously expensive and over-priced ! 🤣🤣
Absolutely agree with you, Duty Free Shops are seldom cheap! Back in the 1990´s (at least here in Europe) perfume, alcohol and tobacco goods were a lot cheaper than on the high street which meant we bought things because of that. Then they changed the Duty Free Laws and since then, we do not find a point in shopping there. In Denmark we can often find items such as chocolates and alcohol cheaper on the high street when on special. Have a good day and once again thanks for watching our video :-D

Lovely video report and yes watching maro was like watching mags in regards to shopping . I actually walk quicker when passing the shops and say no before she even looks lol honestly it’s like we have endless money at times and we certainly don’t lol . Very enjoyable

Thanks for a great trip report! When we flew out of HKT in 2016, was still the old terminal, Burger King cost us around 800baht!
Pity you missed the Jumbo, not sure if we will every get a chance to fly on one now!

@@TravellerYT no alcoholic drinks on domestic flights - they can’t be bothered to pay for duty, international flights don’t charge alcohol duty. And anyways Bangkok-Phuket is a very short flight. You could definitely buy a can of Chang or Singha before boarding though!

We always enjoy our flights with Thai Airways delayed or not, but we were very disappointed that our aircraft was changed to a Boeing 777 instead of the Boeing 747 (Jumbo) we were meant to fly with. July is not the best season for Phuket, normally when we visit Thailand in July we visit Koh Samui ;-)
It's weird but I really miss those tropical thunderstorms that just come out of nowhere and last only an hour. Can't wait to travel to that part of the world again! Which hotel did you stay at in Phuket - we're trying to narrow down a place to stay at when we next go (after the pandemic of course).

Reason for delay "late arrival of aircraft." No shit Sherlock!! It's about time airlines started showing more respect for customers and giving the real underlying reason for the delay. That said, Thai are up there in the top ten for long-haul (in my view).

Thai airways has the most horrid economy seats... Been on 1 flight on those economy seats of Thai and never EVER again.. Everytime I fly locally in Thailand I much rather pay the little extra that business class seats cost as there is a world of pain of difference...

Maro is always thrilled that Thai Airways Long-haul aircraft always offer a footrest, something not available on all airlines in Economy Class (on Long-hauls). Business will always be better no matter the airline or aircraft type. We are not yet sure when the Lufthansa flight will be ready as it requires a hefty amount of editing. Most airports are shopping malls now. Too many bored people with plenty of money to spend ! King Power Duty Free shops are notoriously expensive and over-priced ! 🤣🤣
Absolutely agree with you, Duty Free Shops are seldom cheap! Back in the 1990´s (at least here in Europe) perfume, alcohol and tobacco goods were a lot cheaper than on the high street which meant we bought things because of that. Then they changed the Duty Free Laws and since then, we do not find a point in shopping there. In Denmark we can often find items such as chocolates and alcohol cheaper on the high street when on special. Have a good day and once again thanks for watching our video :-D
