EF Civic Does Hilarious Strapped Up Burnout and Blows Motor

- So my good friend George bought this Honda Civic EF Sedan with the old and tired D15 that was ready to go, we had a D16Z6 swap lined up and decided to send the motor off the right way with a good old fashioned burnout, neutral drop style. So naturally we filled it up with used oil, strapped it up to a light pole and let it ride limiter til the motor and tires blew. Why not go DOHC, not hating Im just curious. I swapped a stock Lsv into my 91 Sedan and it just feels so much better & if for any reason I swap it again Ill go Hseries or stay bseries

I'm pretty sure vtec motors are very much interference, especially B series vtec. either way, the car has already been swapped with a d16z6 vtec and doing well!

@@bonezy2188 sure but, when you free spin it like that, the vtec lobes are not opening the valves because the pins are not in place, they are activated by oil pressure, when vtec is engaged the valves open much further than they do at idle

When a motor blows up under action hey it is what it is. I always think videos of deliberately blowing up an engine are kind of stupid. Doesn't prove anything, usually just a bunch of people laughing for no apparent reason really. but if you got a kick out of it good for you. Build up one of your Honda Motors. Put a few grand into it. I bet you wouldn't laugh if it blew up on the dyno.
Watch any of the other videos on the channel lol, I’m well aware of building motors
