Welcome, Today we'll be going over HOW TO ASSEMBLE THE KUAT SHERPA 2.0 BIKE RACK.
Let’s start by opening the box and seeing what’s inside. We have our user guide, a welcome packet that includes decals, a warranty registration card, and pro tips. NEXT, we have the parts box. In the parts box, you’ll find a CABLE LOCK, 2 LONG BOLTS with LOCK WASHERS, 2 Bike Tire Straps, an INNER BODY CONNECTOR, and a FOOT PEDAL. You’ll also see a carrying bag that includes, 1 two-sided monkey wrench, 6mm ALLEN WRENCH, 1 M10 Bolt and Nut, 1 M8 Bolt and Nut with 2 M10 Washers, and Finally our Hitch Pin with 3 provided keys. To begin assembly let's remove any excess cardboard and protective covering. On the Main lower end assembly beam you should see 4 holes these will be used to secure the bike trays. Now, let's take our outer bike tray and safely place it from the main assembly beam and the inner bike tray. Push slightly to make sure the trays are in the proper locations. Now we’re going to take the inner body connector and place it behind the inner tray aligning the holes. Next, take the long bolt and insert it into the inner body connector. This should reach the length of the bike rack securing both bike trays to the main assembly. Using the hitch pin as an Allen key alternate tightening the long bolts. Insert the provided M10 bolt and washer through the main assembly and Inner Body Connector. Using the Hitch pin as an Allen key might ease installation. Tighten until the bolt is all the way thru and install the M10 nut. Ensure that all bolts are properly tightened before continuing assembly. Use the provide 2-sided wrench to securely tighten the M10 bolt and nut. Now we’re going to flip the bike rack upside down to install the FOOT PEDAL. Grab from the front and rear of the rack to prevent any accidental scratches. Take the FOOT PEDAL and insert it in the correct position. The foot Pedal should be about an inch off the bike tray. Take M8 Bolt and Lock Washer and tighten using the provided 6mm Allen Wrench. Now that your bike rack is assembled make sure to store all the additional items included in your Kit.

Helpful video, one of several on this model. Another excellent one by Rack Attack (assembly, attachment to hitch, loading and unloading bikes). Given the scant information and photos in the printed instructions that come with the bike rack, most users will need these videos. Also, the parts on my sample were not machined precisely, making it difficult to thread bolts and attach the pedal. Finally, I found it necessary to get rid of as much packing material as possible - virtually all of the cardboard and wrappings to be able to use the main box in any useful way for assembling this rack. Nice rack, scant instructions for assembly. TH-cam to the rescue.
