Hands down the best, most feature-packed hitch bike rack in the market. There's nothing like it. Waiting to get my hands on one. Thank you for an excellent, detailed review.
After watching video,I am so glad I purchased Quikr Stuff rack. No tools, easier to manuver easy to store in garage and car, modular so lighter weight for older generation.
I saw somewhere that less than 10% of the rack is not metal. After buying mine and examining it, the only things i could find that werent metal were the lights, and the coatings on the cables. Love this rack. It took me a year to save up for it, but in the little bit of time I've owned it, i have to say "Worth it!"
Awesome video! Before mounting the outside trays you have to connect the wiring. After connecting slide wire slack into center mount. Assembly took me about 25 minutes. I torqued trays to 45Nm.
Hello. Yes, torque specifications are important, fortunately, this mechanical connection is very forgiving and the wrench leverage provided sufficient feedback to make a proper connection. If in doubt, by all means, use a torque wrench. Thanks!
Hello. The display stand is not a consumer product, however, we do have home storage options for racks here: www.rackattack.com/home-storage-racks/ Thanks!
Hello. That stand is not offered as a consumer product, however, you may want to consider the RackDock: www.rackattack.com/home-storage-racks/kuat-rackdock/
Loved your video, it's very informative! I recently purchased 2 Velotric Discover 1 Step Thru Bikes with the Front Basket & Rear Rack options for long touring trips. Is there enough room for the 2 bikes on this rack without the bike rubbing/touching or you need to add the 3 bike option? If so, I'm worried about weight capacity of the racks. Or your recommendation for the best rack for my purpose. Thanks!

Hello. Many of our stores are now receiving stock, feel free to visit for a test fit with your bicycles to ensure the bikes load as expected. Thanks! www.rackattack.com/stores/
Nice explantion! Is there a possibility to add the license plate w/lights, as it is covered by the bikes when the rack is loaded. Rear lights, braking and turn signal functions are a great safety feature. Thank you.
Rack Attack should get quite a few, several for each of our 25+ stores and more for our online sales. We're accepting preorders for late Spring and early Summer delivery. Thanks!
Hello. Clearance would depend on the bikes being carried, for the MTB in the video which has very wide bars, the hatch would hit the bars, for a road bike, the hatch would open fully without contact. Thank!
Great informative video sir. Good job! The only question I have is that I have a xl Santa Cruz heckler ebike weighing 48lbs and I'm trying to determine the length of each bike trey if it'll be sufficient to comfortably sit front and tear tires of the bike before ordering. Please let me know..
Hello. The single cable is what's included, we'd suggest using the cable and adding some extra protection for delicate bike surface contact points. Some report that using a cable while driving long distances could rub on the bike. Thanks!

Thanks for the detailed review really appreciated, I have a an ebike ( Cyrusher XF690 Maxs) its quite heavey 74lbs with battery and 78 inch long. Is it gonna work with this size of bike? Please advise.
Hello. The maximum bike wheelbase is 53 inches and the maximum weight capacity is 67 lbs per bike. Based on the specifications of the Cyrusher XF690 Maxs, we do not have a rack solution at this time.
Hello. Kuat has plans to introduce a base model Piston at a lower cost. Turn on notifications, we'll post a video as soon as it comes to market. Thanks!
Shoot that is heavy! The 1up is super duty double is 47lbs compared to this @ 64lbs! Also the fact the tray is parallel to the ground can cause clearance issues especially if you offroad as MTBrs do, where the 1up helps as the trays are staggered upward.
Hello. Thanks for the comparison. The Piston Pro X offers the higher weight load capacity per bike of 67 lbs vs the 50 lbs max of the Heavy Duty. Thanks again!
@@rackattack Actually 1up states 50-75lbs per bike spot and maximum total of 225lbs. If using 4 bikes total, then maximum is 50 for the last 2 spots. This is for the Super Duty.
the one up rack also doesn't have any of the features and everything is sold separately. I wore the one up out in 7 months. The one up is cool because it is light but thats about where it ends. the springs break and then your arms will seize up. I am excited to try this rack.
@@cameronkg5 1up only has 1 spring and it's only used to lock the rack in position, it won't sieze up. If it was tight, usually just losen the bent arm....also "everything" is not sold separately but spare parts can be had....
@@rackattack That is ABSOLUTELY FALSE AND colossal attempt to cover up the fact that there are multiple racks by "major manufacturers"" that have significantly higher weight rating.. Easily checked and you should know better. 1Up bike racks have a rating of 75 lbs per bike. 1UP is easily a "major" bike rack manufacturer. Your use of the term "major" is an extremely disappointing word salad to try to deflect that your statement is false. I'm being kind. The limited production QuickR Stuff Mach 2 bike rack has a weight rating of 120 lbs. for the first 2 bike positions. Focus on the features, some of which are very nice, of this extremely overpriced bike rack. That way you don't have to make false statements. Again, I'm being kind.
Yes Tom, after further research, we see that there is a 1UP SuperDuty version which offers 75 pound max per bike, while the HeavyDuty version is 50 pounds max per bike. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
FYI - for those with Ebikes, The 1UP Xtreme has a capacity of 150 pounds each tray at the same price and the QuikRack Mach2 holds 120pounds per tray at about $200 less (but currently a 1 or 2 month wait)
Watch the cable on carbon bikes. If it touches the frame, it needs to be padded, I destroyed my Trek Slash 9.9 where the cable rubbed through the frame.
Hello. Referring to the TraiDoc found on the NV rack? Yes, that's a great feature but apparently not an important enough feature to made the cut for the Piston Pro X. Thanks!

The rack itself is extremely well designed, but the kashima pistons are f***ing stupid. I wonder why that is, possibly because the Piston Pro X isn't nearly what they are trying to hype it up as? Yes, that's exactly why.

Great rack, is there a safety or lock on the pistons so someone can’t release them?
Hello. There is no lock integrated into the release, Kuat favors the integrated cable. Thanks!
The cable really doesn’t really help when some jerk comes by and releases all the pistons and the bikes fall into the vehicle?
