For not being a DIY guy you did one hell of a job! After watching how you pull off some of these cross country trips I’m sure you could of had a future in logistics.... very impressive!
Seeing a 10 foot kayak fit in a CRV was the most impressive part :)
Greg with the white rods, fly rain jacket, new boat looking fresshhh
“Those 3 boats having a baby”😂 Greg man you something else lol
That kayak is awesome looking you deserve that and much more for your genuine attitude and personality you are the reason i started kayak tourneys so thanks and God Bless you Greg
"Mom, clean out the CR-V, I'm coming in"
Most impressive part of the whole video was him fitting the yak in the CRV! Gives me hope with mine LOL.
Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can stream pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my gf for the last few weeks xD
@Xander Brock yea, I've been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :)
@Xander Brock Definitely, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself =)
@Xander Brock Yea, I have been using instaflixxer for years myself :D
As soon as I saw the first second of this video I knew you were back home...lol! Then I saw the "Block" foundation, grey skies, and giant trees...I definitely knew! Being from Albany myself, you can just tell the New York atmosphere...Good video!
Congrats Greg! First the bass cave and now a sick new kayak. Thanks for continuing to include us
Great to have ya back in NY it's been a weird spring up here as you mentioned in your video def gotta be like going back in time compared to California were most fish are prolly post spawn but at least ya know your gonna get a lot of belly shirts up here! Great to have ya back up enjoying the content and hope ya get a win in the tournament!
Greg I been following you for 7 yrs bro you are the man you have taught me a lot and you don’t even know it keep up the great work 💪🏾🔥
I miss fishing in NY. I'm from upstate, Rochester. My family has a hunting camp in Naples,NY. I grow up fishing on Canandaigua Lake! Pretty cool you're from that area. Keep up with the videos. We watch them all!!!
Look... Greg has a CLEAN boat.... Can't say that for the garage ... Mom has that on your "to-do-list while your home.... Welcome back to New York.... Hope to see you at Cuba Lake....
Feels like just yesterday that you picked up your new york slayer 10. Crazy that was 3 years ago.
Same thing I was thinking
Agreed!
The year you hit prespawn in Louisiana; California; and New York opened my eyes. I went to family vacation in the Sierras in July that year and found fish on beds. You did it with changing latitude. Here we can do it with elevation. Also the size of the body of water affects water temp. Some small foothill lakes went off long before the Delta this year. Oh yeah, congrats on the new yak. With as many boats Native has sold because of you they should have payed airfare for Ramel to come and set it up for you!!
Good info right thee! Haha, I'll be honest and I did have to facetime Romel a time or two during the build!
Lets gooo hes back in new york 👍👍
Greetings from the capital region! Got my first fishing kayak this year. Can't wait to learn enough to leave my budget boat and get one like this
Sweet boat, I love the color
Love fishing that lake and those spots i know them very well, I grew up in auburn, ny and fished that lake many times from shore and boat.
Fitting a 10ft yak and all your gear in a CRV 👏👏👏. I'm still rolling a CRV until I get a truck and I never thought fitting a yak in there would be possible but this gives me so much hope Lol.
I have been an Old Town Predator fan for quite sometime…. However, I like what you have done with this kayak. Very cool and very practical.
Hi Greg, I guess that does make sense what you said about the Max being lighter. I don’t have as much going on my Titan 10.5 with regards to batteries and gear. Last year you gave me the suggestion to mount my Element transducer on the track mounted plastic overhang thing. It’s worked out great. It is a good thing about the new Max being lighter. I know I cannot launch mine at some ponds because the launch is too steep, making it an issue when taking it out of the water. The only other nit pick about the new Max is the bow. Yes, everyone complained about the handle orientation, but Native should have left the point on the bow. To me, it just takes away from the looks to have a squared off bow. They could have changed the handle, and kept the bow with a proper point.
Again, rock on with the new Max. Maybe an update later this summer?
I’m just excited we can bass fish here in Minnesota in t minus 5 days, Rigging starts today
Man i bought a bonifide p127 3k later 7 days later hate it. Definitely getting a Native for my next yak and a 10footer would be perfect. I enjoy your Ny fishing. I live in the Adirondack Mountains and love our smallmouth fishing on ST Lawerance
The California Bass appreciate the 10-day break, Greg. Safe travels.
im coming back for em
New boat, old fishing spot, same results. Thanks for the video Greg. I'm looking forward to the NY tourney vid.
Greg, you are the new wizard.
I've got a loooooong way to go lol
It’s weird seeing you fish from a kayak with a center console not gunked up by years of FishStick and soft plastics in the California sun
😂
Always a great watch
Bro I'm excited foe you. I've been watching your channel, hands down the best fishing TH-cam channel.
Thanks Jon , appreciate it!
Congrats on the new kayak! Watching your latest video with a fresh cup of coffee. Glad the drop shot came through for you since the shad worm is my favorite go-to bait. Hope you have an enjoyable time being back in NY 😊
Thanks Liz! can't beat the drop shot no matter where you are in the country!
Love seeing you in the flx.
Great to be home!
Of course Greg goes home and wants to do a tournament! I cannot jump the boarder right now due to the lockdown. 😥
Hopefully they reopen this summer!
Welcome back to NY. Great job setting that up. Looking forward to some more "old school" NY videos. Keep up the grear work Greg!
Thanks Jae! Where all the OG videos started!
Enjoy the trip Greg!
Congrats on the new boat 🚣♀️
Thank you Sir for the great review. I (in Toronto Canada) ordered exactly the same model kayak about a month ago, and am still waiting for its delivery.
Like Christmas morning taking it out of the box for the first time 😍😍😍 I have the 403AC torqeedo for my Catch130 and absolutely love it, not cheap buy worth every penny. Look forward to Monday mornings to see what Greg did over the weekend, I've learned a ton from him and have slayed some beasts from watching his videos. Keep it up Greg, tight lines 👌
Thank you sir! for sure, pricey motor but worth every penny if you fish a lot!
Congrats dude. It’s beautiful. It’s like Christmas lol...or even better.
Looks great Greg!
New kayak, pre spawning fish, life is good 🎣😎👍🏼
Dude I Love my Slayer Max 12.5, little jealous of those under seat storage drawers tho. Looks like Native truly listens to their customers and changes each new model to fit their concerns.
Yep, this boat has so many upgrades from previous models, their R and D team is fantastic no questions
always good to be home. congrats on the new kayak and new Abu gear. thanks greg!
Thank you sir!
🔥 Kayak! Welcome to NY, the fishing has been great for me so far but I've only been able to get on the kayak twice because of weather....
Ever in GA and want to experience an awesome fishery, let’s hit the Chattahoochee river in search of Shoal bass, only like 5 small river sections in the entire USA you can catch them, very wild low pressure water, high catch ratio. Smallmouth of the south reigns supreme on these rivers.
I have a spare Bonafide SS107 and paddle you can use, could probably even dog out some decent rods of your hair traveling light
Dude thank you so much for that little tip about the go pro with an external battery ive been having heat issues with mine and I garuntee thats why I didn't know you could run them without the battery in
Being from Fresno Ca watching this one definitely felt like going back 2-3 months...keep the fire vids coming Greg 🤙🏼
It amazes me how well that yak fits in your car.
Nice Kayak! I got the 2021 Native slayer propel 10 because of your videos, Syracuse, NY here✊🏾
You checked out the new Onondaga Lake launch yet? It’s pretty nice.
@@Triberius Not yet but I’ll definitely check it out. Onondaga Lake got some pretty big bass in there
@@MrJaxnbeFishing trust me, I know, I live about a mile off the lake
Thanks for the content! As we talked about on Instagram, with this still being such a new model there weren’t many videos out about it before I decided to get mine. I know there will be some people that’ll get some great info from you discussing this boat. I love mine so far but I haven’t done as much rigging to it as you have. Cant wait to see more videos about it!
Let go 🤙🏽 keep up the great work bro
Love the new setup :) Be blessed ,Greg!
2nd 🤨
Greg you’re a freaking legend!
Welcome home...cool kayak!
Thank you for the great video- I will admit that is a beautiful boat, with a lot of great features, but I still love Nucanoe, I like the Nucanoe because in my mind it is more customizable to me, whereas the Native is all laid out the way the factory makes it- Which is not bad, Im just saying, the Nucanoe boats are more of a blank canvas for the angler to customize the way they want it.Thanks for the great review!
I would love this style of fishing here in the UK
You mean this style of (kayak) fishing is not available/possible in the UK? Any reason? (I am just curious)
Nice boat!! I have the short handle version of your net. I didn't know it comes with such a long handle. Thanks!!
1'' PVC, gorilla glue and some electrical tape!
@@GregBlanchardFishing cool! Thanks!
Finally, you should make the trip up to hart lake adk. Stocked with trout.
Heart
Heart lake
Right on about your new Kayak. Nicely set up so far, looks convenient. But for me was nice to see the Drop Shot come through heh.
Good luck if you hit a tournament out there in NY!
Just curious, why did you go with Abu Garcia?
Same question here. Haha
My guess is, they went with him
Love watching some SMACK one on the dropshot😂
Coast to coast !!!
Always enjoy the content man. Good vibes always.
Greg,
Question... would you rather go from new slayer max or your Titan 10??
Welcome home bro! The cruddy weather here has made fishing rough. Good luck! Can't wait to see what spots I should snipe, errrrr I mean try! 🤣
Haha thanks man! And there's definitely gonna be a spot or two that I'll need you to tell me how many boats/kayaks are on after I leave lol.
I should have realized this comment was a bit of a tease 😂. Crushed em, and I'll keep an eye out for the magic dock!
I had no idea there was a slayer max 10 coming out. Looks awesome! I want one
Greg,
I have the native Titan 12 which I love for that stability. However loading and unloading is a chore. That boat looks pretty lite may need to downsize if the slayer max is stable .
It's stable for sure, not as much as the Titan but its also extremely lightweight, this would be like nothing to load/unload compared to a titan 12
I'm in the same boat. No pun intended. 😅 I have a Jeep Cherokee and that is something else getting a Titan 12 on that Jeep. I'm trading it in for a Slayer Max 10.
@@GregBlanchardFishing would you say it's stable "enough"? Today was my first experience in a pedal kayak. The Titan 12 felt like standing in a big boat. Even with boat wakes going by I was fine. I'm thinking for as much as I'll be standing, probably not much, the Slayer will do. I have a Jackson Bite, and I can stand in it pretty well. Do you know if the Slayer is more stable than the Bite? Thanks man.
Sick new rig, Greg! Also new Veritas setups as well. Need a gear review in the near future.
Informative Video, Greg. I have seen your spots on Headwaters Kayak.
I like the 75 pound fitted hull weight of the Max 10 ( width 34") vs. the 97 pound fitted hull weight of the Titan 10.5 (width 37"). How does the stability of the Slayer Max 10 contrast with that of the Titan 10.5? Is there significant difference in stability?
I didn't know you frequent upstate NY! Dude I watch you all the time, your kayak fishing inspires me to modify mine. Wish we could link up sometime!
Folks: I don't have a car I can haul a large kayak with...
Greg: Hold my beer and watch this!
Lmao 🤣 I thought I was the only one that noticed that of a whole year worth of following this guy
Careful with powering the new yak. I'm pretty sure in NY, as soon as you power a water vessel it's need to be registered. BTW, new rig looks great.
Just wondering why dont you use scupper plugs for the kayak? I hate having water in my kayak. Use the ones that water can drain out but not in.
I'll pull them occasionally when the water builds up but I'm not sure why the Gopro makes it always looks worse than it is.
Sweet boat. I need to upgrade my kayak.
Another great video. New kayak looks sweet.
Your merch is dope! I love the fact that you modeled the merchandise yourself. Did a great job too!
Thanks man! Hoping to get a new design out by the end of the month!
Great vid, Greg! Could you do a follow up on how your motor and fish finder are mounted and wired up?
Awesome video love the new rig
I'm waiting for my Max 10 to arrive! Woohoo. I've been waiting a year for them to release it. I was wondering how protected the transducer would be. Did that require any extra hardware to mount it? Thanks for posting this.
It'll be worth the wait! This boat continues to grow on me the more I use it! It's really protected since the front of the hull its lower than where you'll mount the transducers. I have probably one of the biggest transducers on the market and it fit near perfect. I had to dremel off a peice of the orginal mount that came with my transducer but its now tucked away and protected!
@@GregBlanchardFishing I have an element 7 coming with the 100 transducer is that what you have
Awesome setup Greg! Always great content from ya.
Greg, I have Waterland Co. glasses too! Not many people I see have them.
Congrats on your new yak
Super nice man!!!Keep up the hard work, dig the content!
I’ll get one one day
Great video! Can I ask what did you have your baits in attached to your rod? Thanks for the content.
I love my native slayer propel 10 max , great video ! Subbed !
Looks great, curiosity though... Whole set up... Rounded off....how much for whole setup?
It will run you just over 6k for boat, torqeedo and same fish finder.
@@freeagentangler5159 thx
What Free Agent Angler said!
While watching I had a question about how your paddle is mounted and sure enough u answered it at the end... imma try to do the same as I find I need a little something to make minute boat adjustments and it's crazy how I've overlooked the paddle
Greg your videos are always bomb glad to see a New Yorker make it big on TH-cam but how the hell dis you get a native slayer I have been waiting months for my slayer max 12.5 very jelly but congrats man keep the videos coming
Brand new rods and reels? And a kayak? Nice!!
New rods.. nice
more kayaks than I have shoes! good video as always.
Also, heard north end of Cayuga has been pretty good fishing... Just be careful on that yak on the big water!
Hey Greg you may want to contact the DMV you might be required to register that as a motor boat.
Exposed hook on that dropshot might help keep those fish hooked up. I only Texas rig if I have to.
I’m putting my oldest to bed and he says daddy can I please watch Gregs new video before I go to bed!!! How do I say know to that!!! 😂
😂
He asked "why do they keep coming off".
Theory: large mouth = soft mouth.
When the biting fish are "taking up line" and you are "taking up line" before you set the hook and you are "setting the hook" like fishing for hard mouthed saltwater fish, well then you just set up the PERFECT "TRIFECTA" to tear the mouth where the hook entered and "they fall off".
Actully Its not rocket science at play. It's your technique.
Nice boat!
On top as always
Didn't realize you were from the FLX! Very cool. I'm just a bit southwest of you in Allegany County :)
Is there a strap Bungie to the back of the seat down?
It's 2 AM , GREG....
time zone change goofed me up on this one 😂
Nice rig, looking forward to getting mine. :)
Nice new yak! You use the s@#$, out of them! You need about 4 of them! Lol! Good luck in the tourney, Greg!
