Greg I’m not even gonna lie…. I had intentions of buying a kayak there. I showed up and the guys weren’t too nice about me showing up late Js an hour or so before they were gonna close. I called them before hand, letting them know what was going on and that I was gonna be late due to traffic. I got there, asked questions and they seemed rude. As soon as I bought a kayak they got friendly etc. kinda sad that was my first impression and experience in the kayak community. Kayak city has great options for fishing rigs. I got inspired by you and decided to go there and kinda got let down. Anyways…. Js wished the guys were a little nicer to the young bucks and left a kinda asshole impression with the whole situation…. Amazing video Greg!!!
I agree I live just down the street so I’ve wandered in a few times to pick up things here and there and honestly time after time they are pretty rude. I honestly only go on there if I really need something and I don’t want to wait for shipping
My dad told me a long time ago when I complained my 13ft Gregor was to small! Son if you buy a bigger boat you will put more stuff in it and be cramped up in a bigger boat, how right he was😎
Bought my first Kayak from KC. That plastic wall is just about everything you need. I remember first using Roboworms in the late 90s at Lake Castaic and ran out and what do you know... a Robo rep pulls up in a Hobbie, grabs a handful of Ox bloods and tells me to have fun. Been using Robos as my go to plastic ever since.
With all the stuff dual graphs, batteries, etc., I was wondering if you were going to go with a bigger platform at some point. Congrats on the new boat❣️🎉🎉 Also, a shout out to Aldie for his cameo appearances (photo bomb). 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome Video. I'm from the Philippines and I'm learning a lot from your videos. My 1st Kayak is coming next month and I am excited to apply all the learnings from your videos.
Greg, im so glad you're getting a 12ft boat. I know they're bigger, but i love my 12ft. The motors, electronics, storage, and i feel safer out there. But mostly you can just Especially on your long, weekend tournament trips. Awesome bro!! 🛶 🎣
Congrats on the new boat again. That sprinter van could possibly help out with the sticking out that 2 feet I think it could really work out well for you
Thanks man! I don't want to go down the sprinter van rabit hole again but I might have to since I do just about everything to not have to get an actual trailer🤣
Congratulations on adding the 12.5 to your arsenal of tools!Looking forward to seeing which one you go with for each tourney 🤘 Tight lines from the PNW! 🍻
Great video!!! I've been following you for about 6 months now.. and congratulations on angler of the year... I just bought my first two kayaks Feelfree lure 11.5 and a Feelfree lure 13.5 both of them midnight bolt in color.. Which I love that's why I bought them... I will definitely be buying a Native Titan within the next year.. I think they have the best kayak out on the market right now considering they have a weight capacity of 500 lb plus they are 40 inches wide and the 360 seat and much more.. ✌️
Awesome on the first kayaks! Hey, anything that gets you out on the water is winning. Yep, the Titan series is one of the most stable kayaks for sure and you'll love it
I love this style of video Greg. Glad you dropped the links, I miss my steering upgrade from your guy out there in Cali who did the aluminum job. And yes, I have been around since you had the 13.5 Native/Texas
Can you make a video going through your current rod and reel setup and what you use each rod for? I’m newer to bass fishing and would like to know what weight rod and what size reel for each type of bait
I wondered. It seemed like you were a little cramped in the 10.5 with the new electronics and the net placement was iffy. I have the opposite situation, I love my 12.5 but sometimes wish I had a light, easier to handle yak for smaller waters. (I'm justifying it so I can have the fun of rigging out another fishing kayak).
Great job Greg, that is an Awesome Kayak and now like you said you can take some of the weight off of the 10.5. I was kinda worried about you in the 10.5 with all that stuff and weight in it. Thanks for the video bro and can't wait for the next one.
Hi Greg, I am interested in the hook you are using for Texas Rig drop shot rigging. I still remember you pedaling your Slayer kayak into the north car top launch on Conesus lake for the big bass tournament that is one of your first kayak tournament. I still remember you winning that tournament. Tight lines. Now and for ever.
Congrats on the new purchase! The swivel seat is so 😎😎😎! Btw, you shouldn't worry about justifying another kayak in your arsenal of fishing equipment. It's like guns - you can never have enough 😉 Before bass tournaments, I competed in pistol; there's a specific gun for a specific match. Have fun in outfitting your latest toy 👍 As always, we look forward to seeing you hooking those toads on the water 🎣🤗🎣
I think you're going to wind up using the 12.5 more than you think! Looks like a really nice yak. I kept my smaller kayak thinking the same thing. I haven't used it in quite a while.
Hello , hello , didn't you just get a......nevermind. lmao. That's awesome man. Looks comfortable. Then you go out and catch a few. Love it. Storming here all day but thinking about heading out tomorrow morning. Thanks for the video Greg.
Man, Greg i would love to have a day out on the lake with you in clearlake! I've been fishing up there for 38 of my 38 yrs! Grand's bought a place up there when i was 6 months old! Love to be able to go out on that lake with you!
@@GregBlanchardFishing when I was recently 3+ urs living there for about 2 maybe 3 yrs is when I found your channel! Just happened to be a tournament you were in at clearlake that watched and my grandparents house was in your video! My spot is directly nextdoor to Richmond park bar and grill.

I was thinking of downsizing my Native Titan 12 to a 10, for ease of loading and unloading from my truck bed, etc. Especially since you seem to do very well in yours. After this video, Im not sure what to do. Confused 😂
Greg I have the identical kayak! What Berley pro handle option are you using the slayer 10? The websites don't list the berley pro upgrades for the Titan X. I cant wait to follow along with the build.
Greg, i'm building my titan X 10.5 and i ran into a problem while trying to install the Humminbird Helix Mega SI+ G4N transducer.... the Humminbird bracket is to narrow and does not align with the Titan X transducer mounting screws. how did you resolve this, i'm assuming you have the same transducer on yours. Thanks
I had a feeling you would upgrade to 12.5… you just look so cramped in the other one. The big question is with all the stuff that you’re gonna have on the new one. Do you think you need a trailer?
If money wasn’t an issue would you consider to wrap your kayak with a more custom look and make it more personal for you? Thanks brother for an awesome video sent video content you get my heart racing. Have a great blessed day and take care.
Now you’ll finally have a place to put your net!
only reason I got this kayak😂

Agree with you.. they was quite rude to me as well when I went there to buy a spring blade rudder.. was not welcoming at all
I agree I live just down the street so I’ve wandered in a few times to pick up things here and there and honestly time after time they are pretty rude. I honestly only go on there if I really need something and I don’t want to wait for shipping
Same experience.. rude staff smh
Bought my kayak from them 10yrs ago when they were on El Camino, same experience then.
Well seems like everyone should stop buying from there…
My dad told me a long time ago when I complained my 13ft Gregor was to small! Son if you buy a bigger boat you will put more stuff in it and be cramped up in a bigger boat, how right he was😎

The swivel seat adds a great option for viewing your catch on the rear camera. Looks good.
indeed! Nice to really rummage through the tackle bin too
Honestly, I was surprised that you did not get the 12.5 titan x in the first place. Good luck with both!😃
Congratulations on your new kayak, Greg! And for getting some slime on the boat with so little time on the water!!! Awesome 👏🏼
I hear the guide whistle. I love that sound when im out on the water.
It makes sense. In a way, it's your took box. Anybody who has tools box, truck, van, understand you rearrange them til it feels right. Let's go!
yessir! just a really big tool lol
For sure the 12 gives way more room. Looking forward to what you do with it GB!
Great choice! I love my TitanX 12.5!
Great buy, that yak is so smooth on the water man , you look really happy with it!
Agreed! Heard it's faster with a motor about 1 mph as well, thats crazy
Congrats on the new yak. Can't wait to see all the rig u going to put on this yak.
Kayak city is where i got my yak. guys are always helpful.
With all the stuff dual graphs, batteries, etc., I was wondering if you were going to go with a bigger platform at some point.

im excited to see the new adventure with the new rig
Nice kayak! Always nice to have a back-up
I dont know, that 12.5 looks like it fits you better. It just looks right!
O electronics with you like depth and fish finder. That is definitely tougher . Good luck Greg . Thanks for the videos.

Thanks dude and agreed! The 12.5 even is (from what I'm told) about 1 mph hour faster on full throttle with the motor, gonna be sending wakes!
Congrats on the new boat again. That sprinter van could possibly help out with the sticking out that 2 feet I think it could really work out well for you
Thanks man! I don't want to go down the sprinter van rabit hole again but I might have to since I do just about everything to not have to get an actual trailer🤣
I felt that I needed something bigger too so thats why I went with the 12.5
Love your new yak..!! Cant wait to see it decked out and winning those tournaments !!
Good luck Greg !!!!!

sold my oldtown 120 pdl 2yrs ago. i think you convicted me to get a titan now lol. i need to get back on the waters.
I bought my oldtown pdl106 at Kayak City. Those guys are great
Congrats on the new Kayak Greg. That instrumental at the end was perfect by the way, great selection for the ending.
Gregs balling out with kayaks!
I like that you can swivel and talk to the back camera. 👍
I love this style of video Greg. Glad you dropped the links, I miss my steering upgrade from your guy out there in Cali who did the aluminum job. And yes, I have been around since you had the 13.5 Native/Texas
Thanks Chris! Gonna be a good season with our 12.5's!
The swivel seat looks sweet in that thing
Can you show the process how you put on and take off your newport motor when you arrive/leave the lake?
Headwaters kayak 2nd lil shop didnt last long in the central valley, but i got my 2nd n 3rd kayak from kayak city
I just bought my first kayak because of your content! Bought a Titan 12 propel. Then James sold me some stuffffff

those T-bone bed externder are nice! just added one myself too
They're quality!
im curious how you would like an xi3 in front of that titan 12. not as fast as other motors, but the spot lock is awesome for me.
Its definitely an option now with a larger bow
I thought the deck on the 10 and a half was looking pretty wet at times due to all the added goodies. Good luck with the new boat!
Yeah, I think maybe I put a bit too much weight on it
Great job Greg, that is an Awesome Kayak and now like you said you can take some of the weight off of the 10.5. I was kinda worried about you in the 10.5 with all that stuff and weight in it. Thanks for the video bro and can't wait for the next one.
I was also concerned about the weight in the 10.5. The bow looked very low to me, like it could not handle rough water.
@@MostlyHumanPowered Exactly
Thank you! Im stoked to get it rigged up and out on the water!
I had a feeling after that first trip you would get the 12.5. Glad to see you will be more comfortable. ☕️☕️☕️
more room for activities🤣
The 12.5 was the right play from the beginning.
Definitely with what I wanted to put on it
So wild to see you in my area. That kayak shop is great
Love it up there, wish I lived closer
That tging looks like it really needs a bow mount trolling motor 😊 xi3 gps maybe? Congrats on the new rig Greg 🎉
That's a good looking boat! Those look like smallies or meanmouths.

I was like you too and eventually upgraded to a 20ft bass boat and I still wish I have more room. Great kayak tho
Nice boat, lets go GB 2024.

I say put a front motor so you can spot lock
Definitely have the appropriate bow size now to do so

Feel the same way! Been thinking of stepping up from my Slayer 10.5. Feel like I am getting cramped.
the extra room and stability is wildly different! but there is still something nice about having a small throw and go kayak rig if you can keep it too
Said it before and I’ll say it again. “I don’t know how you left NY”. Best fishing in the country.
It really is. Ive already got trips booked this spring for NY , cant wait
I love it! Another kayak?!? Lol I'm still just jealous you're able to go out lol still cold over here in the finger lakes!
Haha, I'll be the jealous one as soon as March/April hits
That's what's up! The ultimate yak collection! I got 12th on the harris chain my dood!!! Let's get it this tourney season!!!!!
I think its the first time you haven't been sitting with your feet in water all day ?
Usually there's an inch of water in the ten point five !

Happy Monday ☕️
Greg you have a problem my guy!! I love it!
most definitely🤣
I was thinking of downsizing my Native Titan 12 to a 10, for ease of loading and unloading from my truck bed, etc. Especially since you seem to do very well in yours. After this video, Im not sure what to do. Confused 😂
Haha, if you unload most of the kayak before putting it into your bed I don't think its much different.
.....you'd love the 12.5....it will be your main....
Thats what I'm thinking, big water and tournaments seems like it will be the one to go with
Greg was itching to get out to Folsom! 😂 I think as he’s starting to catch more fish there I think he’s starting to like it lol
Haha, Folsom is growing on me for sure
Sooner or later, I think a bass boat platform will be on the horizon.
Bang Bang niner gang 😂happy Monday y’all 🙌🏻
I was kinda surprised you didn't get this one first
I want to trade my Hobie pa14 in for the tian x 12.5 so bad. I just love love the Hobie. I need to find a place that does demo days.
Damn Greg got 💴 you might as well get a bass boat!
Alton cracks me up 😂
Forward facing is what ya need. Definitely a better boat for tourney fishing. Congrats
With the rod holders being a little further from the seat compared to the 10.5, is it harder to avoid hooking them on the backcast?
Seriously, though, that spinning seat is the ticket-- now you can easily get to your gear and re-rig work area...
I have being doing research on getting my first kayak I think whatever I get it needs to be 12.5 I’m 6’1 240
yeah, i think you'd def be more comfortable in that one
@@GregBlanchardFishing thanks Greg love all your videos you are very inspirational 💯
I was expecting part 2 from the tournament video you dropped last and not this lol. I hope it's in this video
That tourney was canceled after the first day...there is no more to show lol

Hey greg will you do a challenge going to any lake you never been to and fished without using any electronics. Thanks!
so funny, you were less then a mile from my house .giting a kayak..
