    Hell ya ! Finally, somebody actually wailing on their model3 P mercilessly! I’ve had my 2022 M3 P for 2 yrs 50,000 miles , been through 3 sets of tires. Only 6% battery degradation . And I beat on it daily like a rental. Zero issues whatsoever. The only repair was when I was in track mode, and I slid off the track . scraped the stock plastic skid plate and swaybar mounting bracket on the ground . No big deal . You should upgrade to a much larger radiator cooler. I assume you have regen off in track mode too , help keep it cool. If you’re just doing drag races, a nice warm battery is actually good. So don’t put it in track mode if you’re going to do drag races because the battery cooler will kick on. 110°F is probably the best drag race temperature for the battery. so either wait till summertime or trick your car into thinking it has to get ready for supercharging so it warms the battery up.

Since I only compete in sprints and hill climbs, normally equivalent to no more than 2 laps (3.5 miles) the overheating isn’t a major issue to me. There is just no way to cool the pack enough. With the AC you can't get rid of the heat when it is around 100F outside. Maybe if you want some fast laps, people are gonna need some ice on the heat exchanger right before the hot laps. At 116F the pack is just hot enough from normal driving. @@KBTV47 I am with you 100% This was my first time with this car on track & it definitely a lot different than the M3 or Corvette. I was hoping to get more seat time but I had to come off track every time the car went into limp mode. I will make these brake upgrades and adjust regen & hopefully can get a couple hot laps out there . I appreciate you

    • @ChosenMJ
      @ChosenMJ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KBTV47 Yes I get that but my point is/was learn the car first. Driving at six or seven tenths will give you a fairly solid baseline to work off of instead of balls to the wall driving. You tend to drive smoother once you understand where to setup the car around the track. Smoother driving and moderate inputs can reduce the stress that’s placed on the car. At least that’s what I was taught. Anyway carry on.

    • @ChosenMJ
      @ChosenMJ 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DezDriven Yeah there is only so much you can learn from a lap or two. After the slow lap around the track I usually go to 6, 7 and 8 tenths to get the fluids and tire temps up before letting loose. By then the car is settled somewhat and you can go faster without having to fight the car.

      @@THExKINGxKINGx Hi There, no I didn’t sell the M3 Comp, I still have it. I absolutely LOVE that car. I will for sure do a video very soon comparing the two cars over the next couple weeks. So far the Model 3 performance has been good. I love all the upgrades from the previous version especially the seats. I am impressed how quick it is in a straight line and handling is pretty good. The only thing that’s mind blowing to me is how quickly the battery overheats on track. I will for sure do another video after I make some upgrades to the car to see how much they help.

      @@DezDriven Thanks so much man I turned on post notifications so I’ll see it whenever you post it! I was trying to order a 2024 m3 competition but the window just closed and it would have to be a 2025 which I didn’t like. I will get the M3 competition as well when I find the right spec. Want the bucket seats, dravit grey, and Fiona red interior. I couldn’t find it anywhere in the nation. Just ordered my model 3 performance today! Will likely sell my 2021 M3P down the road and just keep the 2024 model 3 performance until the next updated version comes out. Can’t find a better daily than this one. @@dangrass nah it is way better as a performance car but it also has more space inside, which makes it more practical to transport stuff. The only area where it is lagging behind is the range, however, thanks to its 800V system you can charge it up in 19min from 10-80% so it is less of an issue as it seems. Ioniq 5N clearly wins
