- Here is a step by step tutorial on how to remove the Aero covers or wheel covers on the new 2024 Model 3 Performance. No need to take the wheels off the car. All you need is a trim removal tool.

Makes such a big difference!

I used a wide J-hook style trim tool which worked amazingly well…very little effort was needed.
Nice !! Thanks for the tip.
@@rogerserafin 🙏🙌
Dez, your ride is nice. Looks awesome.
@@robertwilliam9558 thanks Robert 🙏🙏🙏
Dang that looks CLEAN, love it man, can't wait to get one myself ina few months
@@nathansuss nice!! Congrats you will love it, it’s a great daily driver 👍
Use two hand and push from the back. Wont scratch your aero covers too
That could be me. I'm debating if to trade my Santa Fe, for a performance. I have an M340i right now, also in Brooklyn gray.
I removed mine as soon as I got the delivery. Looks miles better without those covers. I'm hoping some vendors come out with cool insert to replace smaller aero covers.
pls post here if u find some anytime soon
I wish I removed them on delivery day!! You’re right it’s significantly better without the aero caps in my opinion
Looks good. Now just need slotted rotors for an even better look
@@JDDD33 🙏💯
That’s exactly how I removed mines for the people that took the wheel off and remove from behind that is much harder than this way.
For sure, doing it this way is much easier & saves a lot of time 👍👍
@@DezDrivenWouldn’t removing the spring after removing the wheel scratch the wheel less?
Did the same with mine! Game changer! Love you car...lol (only diference is that I have black interior)
@@rodolfonunes5124 let’s goooo!! I love your car too!!! Definitely an amazing machine!!
do you notice that there is lots of brake dust after the covers are removed? is that because the brakes are new or that normal?
Depending on how one drives, brakes should be rarely used due to regen. Maybe he is braking hard?
I will definitely keep you updated. I just took off the aero covers yesterday but will be racing Buttonwillow tomorrow so I’ll keep you updated
thanks man
@@shou635 i barely use them
It is a good idea to use the brakes as much as possible when you get the car for at least a thousand miles. The brakes are very “spongy” at the beginning and it is terrifying when you trying to hard brake at high speed. They need broken in.
Looks much better without the covers bro. but the small covers are still there? i heard if you remove them you have some holes in your wheel? They should fix that someway.
@@vlabmw9189 yes I kept the small covers on. You are right, behind the small covers there are two holes and I don’t like the look. But keeping the small covers on still looks great 👍
Agreed, the wheel looks better without the big covers but the small covers still annoy me. IMO, the wheels on the older M3 RWD were some of the nicest wheels on a Tesla and they were fully intact under the goofy aero covers.
Bro I bought that tool and it’s still hard to take off. Please help. I’m like dying since delivery day to take them off 😭
@@samislam5946 Hi Sam, start with one of the aero caps on top… use the tool to pop off the top right of the cap, then pop off the top left section. Once both sections are popped off you will need a good grip and then you need to firmly pull. It will pop out. Once you do one of them you will get the hang of it. Sending you good vibes it works out 🙏
@@DezDriven your instructions saved my life! I just got them off my M3P and it looks amazing. Thanks for your help!
Super random question: do you know how to watch tv while driving?
@@samislam5946 sorry Sam I don’t
@@samislam5946 LETS GOOOOOO!!!! Night and day difference!!!
Race against the M3?
@@jexzielrivera yes sir!!!! That video will be coming very soon!! I’m hoping my M3 could keep up!!! 🏎️🏎️
what about the small covers? looks stupid with those still on.
@@jollyrodger1537 underneath the small covers there are two holes 🕳️ 🕳️, overall it looks better to keep the small covers on in my opinion. Definitely like the look with the big Aero covers off 👍
Better on and more aerodynamic
Looks way better with the covers on! Why are so many people removing them and scratching their rims in the process?? What a waste of time!
Agree. The stock rotors aren’t much to show off and are too small, especially the rear one’s. I prefer them on and they improve efficiency.
