    Dear Bo:
    I truly appreciate your work. You have a lovely, planted tank (with local shrimp!), and a terrific carpet of green, grass-like plants. I don’t believe I could sort that, without CO2. And, you have amazing success breeding characins.
    Thank you for sharing this, fascinating look at breeding neon tetra. Is this, breeding pair of the species neon tetra (Paracheirodon innesi) or green neon tetra (Paracheirodon simulans)?
    Please advise.
    Thank you.
    All my best,
    Sincerely,
    E. J. Brinegar

      HI brinegar,
      Glad you like the carpet plants. they were dwarf hairgrass.
      the breeding pairs were neon tetras. the green neons you saw in the beginning of the video were the ones I showed you guys in previous videos,they are now 4 months old now.
      Thanks for your comment!

      Sir what foods are you feeding to condition you're breeders? Try feeding mosquito larva and daphnia or even small pieces of frozen bloodworms or prawns.

    Can we leave the newly hatched fry for 4-5 days without feeding anything?

    • @bothetetrabreeder8734
      @bothetetrabreeder8734  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, we can. And that's the only way to do, as they won't eat anything before day 5 or 6 from hatching.

    what kind of water do you put in it?, my eggs are white, I don't use a heater because where I live the temperature is from 25 to 28 and 30c the temperature varies. I'm from Mexico, could you advise me to be successful?

    • @bothetetrabreeder8734

      Hi Emir, I just used my local tap water Declorinated.i didnt use heater either as the temperature was 25C. are all your eggs white? if they are, try using another pair.

    I don't think it has, to do so much with the water parametes, but with the favt that your fish did not reproduce for a very long time (actually never), and their reproductive organs have suffered, because of inactivity.
    Their eggs may be dead, untill the female gets to grow new ones inside her ovaries.

    • @MrGigi-dz9cv
      @MrGigi-dz9cv 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Repeating the process may be the key to the success.

    • @MrGigi-dz9cv
      @MrGigi-dz9cv 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would not move the eggs, untill they spawn, and get bigger.
      I would have moved the fish.

    • @MrGigi-dz9cv
      @MrGigi-dz9cv 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would also, not remove anything. All the detritus becomes food for the infuzoria, and then, for the fish.

    • @bothetetrabreeder8734
      @bothetetrabreeder8734  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your insightful comment. You bring up an interesting point about the reproductive activity of the fish. It's possible that their inactivity has affected their reproductive organs. I'll keep an eye on their progress and hope that they can eventually recover and reproduce. Your input is much appreciated
      But it's interesting to note that this particular issue seems to be more prevalent in neon tetras, and I haven't observed the same level of deformities in other tetra species.

    • @bothetetrabreeder8734
      @bothetetrabreeder8734  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nishanta, unfortunately cardinal tetra will not work in a jar. Cardinal tetra would be very stressed in a small space.I tried that in the past and ended up with one dead.
