Dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last few weeks xD
It gives me shivers when Gandalf says "Farewell, my brave hobbits. My work here is finished... here at last at the shores of the sea, marks the end of our fellowship. I will not say, 'do not weep', for not all tears are not an evil." I love that quote, and this whole part, its so breathtaking!
“PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way. GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what? GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise. PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad. GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.”
What amazes me is that one man can put together something this great together. It's beyond my understanding. And then what's huge is that you don't even have to see the movie to get the flow and the emotions that Howard Shore portrays through his music. It's simply amazing.
I was just thinking how awesome it would be if Peter Jackson came out with an ultimate edition of the trilogy with more footage (and yes there is some) that wasn't even used in the extended edition and new music to accompany the unused scenes. I would imagine though that something like that wouldn't happen until at least the 25th anniversary of the trilogy.
I am admittedly a VERY emotional person...despite both, this, and the fact that music is my life's greatest passion...there remain few pieces of music that will repeatedly bring me to tears. Off the top of my head, I can think of five... Dream Theater's 'Illumination Theory', Haken's 'Visions', IQ's 'Without Walls', The score of Cast Away, and of course, this... which does so more reliably than any other...
I come back here every so often. It truly is one of the best musical pieces ever written in my opinion.. You have to love the facial expression eyebrow raise that Howard Shore does at 3:51, kind of like a "amazing, right?"..
This is and will always be my top favorite comments on this site. I'm so happy to know that there are people out there who share the same thoughts as me. I too am grateful and eternally happy for the life I have lived and this song has reminded me of that completely ^_^
For all the things that have happened in my life, all the regrets i have. i can look back and think how beautiful my life really is. this song makes me cry every time i hear it and all i can say is i thank the family and friends that i have made for such a wondeful life. Thank you all
Sometimes music can sweep our words away. This masterpiece has truly blown people away. This can be inspiring to other kids like me I'm 11. This something that you do not hear everyday. sometimes tears can drop one by one like soldiers dying in battle. Now i think the most hardest part to get over is 2:152:43 . Truly inspiring but this is only a treat and it tells us that life is full of badness and happiness. You just don't know.
What I love about this final scene, is that it beautifully portrays that death is not the end. No matter if you are young or old, you will be heading for new advetntures, with the ones you love.
Howard Shore had a divine inspiration to write this music... It just can't be more perfect than it is. The whole damn music for this film is pure perfection... We need more movies like this. :/
I play this video anytime I've had a bad day or just feeling empty inside. Without sounding all wishy-washy, for some reason it makes me feel that life is bigger that I realized and that I just need to keep moving ahead, while not missing the beauty that is all around me.
Nice to know that more people get to trully feel the enviroment of middle earth and the masterpiece that Tolkien left us, this is the man's life work, I as a great fan of the Lord of the rings salute Howard shore for the awesome music that characterizes our love for this trilogy !
The best thing about this master piece is the depp feeling of peace and the calm spirit that reflect, like all the story is mixed with the strings sounds
my goodness this piece of music is absolutely fantastic, even without it in the context it's in in the film, it could still break my heart, just... love it
the musical score of all of the lord of the rings movies is so awesome it makes you think back to when this country's was being founded by our founding fathers and the struggles they had fighting against evil and tyranny . the music brings that fighting 1776 spirit back into our hearts and reminds us that we really can make a difference if we just never ever give up no matter how hard the fight god bless this channel sincerely seattlepatriot1776
Dude, the beginning of the movie would have to be so artfully crafted that mortal eyes would be driven insane by the beauty and omniscience of it. And that doesn't even begin to describe the rest of it...but only if they do it good, like Peter Jackson did the Lord of the Rings.
i remember going to the theatre with my dad to go watch the lord of the rings and when they showed the gray havens i got so emotional and to this day i still get emotional when i see this
this song does describe the pain and grief of the past, but personally I think that the pain and grief of the past makes us who we are, and it's beautiful, just like this song, because i know that when i feel pain, in the future it will make me a better human.
Everytime I come across this part when Frodo leaves I always have a watery eye then I start to feel that emotional feeling it kinda touches then you start crying.
I introduced my kids to the magic of the lord of the rings....I hope they play this at my passing....Love to Kyle, Nathan. Liam and my beautiful daughter Chloe,,,,myself and your mother may have separated but I hope you will remember this song...live long and prosper my lovely children
It makes me cry to emotion...how expressed my feels about it? All of the songs of Howard Shore are very big, very beautiful, with a lot of feels, with a lot of inspirations, emotions, it's fantastic...and the scene in the movie...oh my God. It's so sad, you can imagine that you're here, in the Grey Havens, crying too about all of it, with them...I hope that one day I'll travel to Wellington , to the Shire, with all of beautiful things of Tolkien wrote..always in my heart it.
This was so beautiful, especially when you hear "Into the West" being carried through ever so subtly. This was a wonderful set. Thank yo very much for sharing this.
Everyone who worked on the LOTR trilogy can call it their masterpiece, because every single aspect of it was done masterfully, especially the music. Howard Shore, you dah man.
this needs to be played on my funeral! To let my family know that I'm not gone, but simply on my way to another adventure.
Dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my gf for the last few weeks xD

Thank you J.R.R Tolkien, Peter Jackson, and Howard Shore for making the Middle Earth experience, just listening to this song makes me feel amazing.
Howard Shore, you did yourself proud. This is a masterpiece, a sublime accompaniment to Tolkien's story.

If heaven had a song that could be described in our highest form of art and music, this would be the medium for such one. Well done Howard Shore. :)
SoyishK Agreed.
2:13 to 2:40 gives me goosebumps everytime
I miss more of that movement, so sad, distant and melancholic
Thats how I imagine heaven will sound
Si
How music unites us. That is precisely the segment that gets me too.
Honestly this can bring tears to your eyes. I love how you can hear "Into the West" with the strings.
🤩
2:14 - 2:45 ... my favourite part of this mastepiece
The feels are coming out of my eyes...
The scores in all of the Lord's of the Rings films are truly masterpieces. The film's are Timeless.
The undying lands...may it one day be shown as a gift once again to the eyes of men.
I was just thinking how awesome it would be if Peter Jackson came out with an ultimate edition of the trilogy with more footage (and yes there is some) that wasn't even used in the extended edition and new music to accompany the unused scenes. I've heard this song for like 100 times, and everytime I cry.
Beautiful.
I am admittedly a VERY emotional person...despite both, this, and the fact that music is my life's greatest passion...there remain few pieces of music that will repeatedly bring me to tears. This is so beautiful I cry every time I listen to it. It definitely needs to be played on my funeral.
If one were to make the difference between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, this would be the requiem.
So beautiful...I am speechless.
i remember the first time i watched the trilogy, this part actually made me cry.
cry cry cry and always got goosebumps until very this second..... the grey havens probably my most fave score from TLOTR
Heaven's song.

tolkien would be proud to heard it!
I come back here every so often. It truly is one of the best musical pieces ever written in my opinion..
You have to love the facial expression eyebrow raise that Howard Shore does at 3:51, kind of like a "amazing, right?"..
This man gave me the best musical time in my life :)
I LOVE THE LORD OF THE RINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU HOWARD SHORE, THANK YOU FOR YOUR TALENT!
Ya did good, Howard Shore. Professor Tolkien himself would have been pleased to hear his creation come alive in music.
merlinstwin I agree.
And thanks to Annie Lennox for his vocal version!
Como é o nome dessa música
i cried like a baby
I freaking love the guy on the tin Whistle, he is soo good, and can make such soulful music with that little whistle. he's simply a fantastic musician
This is and will always be my top favorite comments on this site. I'm so happy to know that there are people out there who share the same thoughts as me. I too am grateful and eternally happy for the life I have lived and this song has reminded me of that completely ^_^
That was the most perfect part of the movie, them sailing into the sunset with the towers of the city and cliffs around them, very emotional.
and thanks a God for music like this
For all the things that have happened in my life, all the regrets i have. i can look back and think how beautiful my life really is. this song makes me cry every time i hear it and all i can say is i thank the family and friends that i have made for such a wondeful life. Thank you all
I will not say do not weep, for not all tears are evil.
I watched LotR when I was little, and every time I fell asleep after the movie, I instantly hoped dreaming of Middle Earth...q_q
The Lord of the Rings means so much to me. I have the CD box and I have played it so many times, and I never get bored.
this is definately an emotional piece of music once you've seen the movie.
It's amazing that such inspiring and creatively beautiful music was written under such hurried conditions!
It gets to my heart! So beautiful! No one like Howard Shore!
i love how it uses the same theme played when Gandalf falls, but in that scene it's so empty, and here it's almost comforting
absolutely!
this is the most AMAZING movie i've ever seen in my life.
Sometimes music can sweep our words away. This masterpiece has truly blown people away. This can be inspiring to other kids like me I'm 11. this...this is what keeps us sane. a feeling we can't describe, yet it purifies our hearts.
"The last pages are for you, Sam" *cries*
i can not believe that there are people that don't get enchanted by this kind of music...
What I love about this final scene, is that it beautifully portrays that death is not the end. No matter if you are young or old, you will be heading for new advetntures, with the ones you love.
the score for all 3 movies is amazing but this one makes me cry every single time. it's like magic. breaks my heart :(
Howard Shore had a divine inspiration to write this music... It just can't be more perfect than it is. The whole damn music for this film is pure perfection... We need more movies like this. :/
I just wish J.R.R. Tolkien were alive to have seen this trilogy and hear the music.
I play this video anytime I've had a bad day or just feeling empty inside. Without sounding all wishy-washy, for some reason it makes me feel that life is bigger that I realized and that I just need to keep moving ahead, while not missing the beauty that is all around me.

I love Howard Shore's reaction at 3:54 where he's just like, "Hell yeah, bow down petty humans"
.
I am truly, honestly, forever brightened by the genius of the founder of cinematic epics masterpeices.
Dude, the beginning of the movie would have to be so artfully crafted that mortal eyes would be driven insane by the beauty and omniscience of it. And that doesn't even begin to describe the rest of it...but only if they do it good, like Peter Jackson did the Lord of the Rings.
I'm not gonna lie. I'm tearing up. Such a beautiful ending to such a beautiful work.
