I've picked mine up yesterday, finally after two year so waiting and oh my what a camera!!! So much lighter than the 1dx and the EVF is amazing. I still need to customize the buttons which might take a few days, there a so many options. I'm very happy to have waited and didn't buy the R3.
@@SamysCameraOfficial I don’t like the way the Photographer was tossing it back-and-forth from one hand to the other tipping it over on its side up and down right side left side, like he thought it was a slinky.
Dropped the res of the lcd from the r3 which surprised me. And the video capabilities are a bit weaker than flagships from Sony and Nikon. I actually think since recent price cuts the r3 is looking good. I appreciate the autofocus is better but I’d say for 98% of people it would be more than enough. I’m not so bothered about the 24mp although i would have liked to see it match the z9. I’ve had days shooting motorbikes for publications and the z9 and r3 nailed everything I needed with very few lost frames.
The R1 is an amazing camera, the 24.2mp sensor resolution is a good balance of low light capabilities and speed @ 40fps! It’s a great time to be a sports or wildlife photographer, so many good options!
yeah the LCD drop surprised me and is very disappointing. I guess Canon thought pros don't look at the rear LCD screen, so no need to offer a good One. Some have suggested that a lower resolution rear LCD screen would help with battery performance too (this is probably a good explanation). From what I have seen from reliable sources, the AF of the R1 is a step up from that of the R3 and the high ISO performance is around 1-1.5 stops better than the already superb R3.
7:47 for the R5 is same as the menu for the R5, the Dual shooting (photo stills & video) is not on my menu, what enables it? it was there at one stage and now disappeared

So how is it so far?
We are excited for you!
I got this beast of a camera and I love it. I have not used it yet, but still learning the mechanics. Going from a 90d to R1 is amazing
That's a huge jump and learning curve. Congratulations and Good luck!
You are going to love using it!
Versatile and appears is light to carry. Thank you
You’re very welcome, thanks for the comment!

The R3 is 99% this camera lol
@@Makta972 I don't think you can compare the AF and EVF and all the customization possibilities.
Congratulations on picking up Canon’s latest flagship, we hope it serves you well. Thanks for sharing!
My dream camera and dream lens! Is this the pre-production version you are reviewing here?
Our Source at Canon called it a “Pre-Shipment Sample”.

The photographer holds the camera lens like it’s a can of beer.

Awesome to hear that you’re using the R5, it is also a great camera!

Still love my R5 Mark II with RF 85 f/1.2 :)
I can easily see rolling shutter effect on some sample photos.
