My friend i have a question. My bike has a power comander it came with . I have a slip on m4 on it now .i wanted to remove the cat .i order the pipe u have . I was thinkin just cut the cat and walla . What else do i have to do ?
If I was to remove my cat put a midpipe with o2 sensor in the mod pipe and fit on a aftermarket muffler would I need to do a tune or could I get away with it running as is...I don't have that type of cash for a tune or powercommander..thanks man great videos
irshad parak I'm not sure about the k7 I'm sure it's very similar. Check Olsonperformance for their mid pipe. As far as performance it completely opens up the exhaust and relieves the engine of unnecessary back pressure. Sounds a lot better as well. I put a yoshimura r55 slip on exhaust just recently and it sounds great.
Matías Valdés Yes I had to have the bike run on dyno and custom fuel mapping etc. I ended up having swap the jardin slip on pipe for a yoshimura 455 because I did not have enough back pressure with the fullyblown exhaust system. After all was said and done I gained 14 horsepower
Michael Mcmillan I believe it should be the same for 08-10. Just check the link that I posted for the last comment and if the mid pipe says it fits the k9 everything should be the same. And yes I also removed the set valve assembly, disconnected, removed the service for the set valve, and disconnected the signal wire to the ECU to prevent and f1 light from showing up on the spedo display.

You can find at local Suzuki dealer or online Part #5 on any muffler diagram that parts stores provide for the 08-10
Hey man I know this video was posted along time ago, but were you happy with the results of deleting the cat as far as sound and performance wise? I want to delete mine as well, and just do the same. Add mid-pipe with a voodoo slip on.....but I'm afraid that it's going to make the bike just ridiculously loud lol, I want a deeper more mean sound but I don't want to go crazy and it be annoying lol. An update would be awesome!
