Hey man I know this video was posted along time ago, but were you happy with the results of deleting the cat as far as sound and performance wise? I want to delete mine as well, and just do the same. Add mid-pipe with a voodoo slip on.....but I'm afraid that it's going to make the bike just ridiculously loud lol, I want a deeper more mean sound but I don't want to go crazy and it be annoying lol. An update would be awesome!

My friend i have a question. My bike has a power comander it came with . I have a slip on m4 on it now .i wanted to remove the cat .i order the pipe u have . I was thinkin just cut the cat and walla . What else do i have to do ?

If I was to remove my cat put a midpipe with o2 sensor in the mod pipe and fit on a aftermarket muffler would I need to do a tune or could I get away with it running as is...I don't have that type of cash for a tune or powercommander..thanks man great videos

Hey GsxrMan 2K8! I have the exact bike...i watched you install of the midpipe just now. Just a quick question...Did the bike throw any codes and cutting that cat off? I know you stated in the comments you had to go with the R55 due to back pressure loss...but other than that, could you run the R55 pipe with the aftermarket mid pipe without re-tuning/ PC?? Thanks man!
It did not throw any codes but my set valve is disabled and I removed the wire signal wire coming from the ecu that most likely would throw a code if you disable the set valve
And yes you could run it that way for sure but I would advise tuning and blocking off the SAS because you will have a lot of decel backfire if you don't
But I would definitely advise tuning, I gained 10Hp with the tune, de cat mid pipe and r55 installation

Sas or pair valves, they are for emission purposes but have no functional purpose as far as performance, they inject fresh air into the exhaust system but when you delete the cat and free up all that backpressure it creates two much oxygen in the exhaust in turn resulting in backfire and de del pop or backfire when you chop the throttle

After you cut the cat, did you have to tune your bike? Also what did u do and how...thanks
Matías Valdés Yes I had to have the bike run on dyno and custom fuel mapping etc. I ended up having swap the jardin slip on pipe for a yoshimura 455 because I did not have enough back pressure with the fullyblown exhaust system. After all was said and done I gained 14 horsepower
Hi, got the exact same setup. I love the sound but I believe its a bit loud, especially if your going for a longer daytrip. Inserted the silencer but... Lost that beutiful deep tone... Are you running yours without silencer on daily baisis?

irshad parak I'm not sure about the k7 I'm sure it's very similar. Check Olsonperformance for their mid pipe. As far as performance it completely opens up the exhaust and relieves the engine of unnecessary back pressure. Sounds a lot better as well. I put a yoshimura r55 slip on exhaust just recently and it sounds great.
will this be the same for the k9 yes? and have you elready removed the set valve cables from yours?
Michael Mcmillan I believe it should be the same for 08-10. Just check the link that I posted for the last comment and if the mid pipe says it fits the k9 everything should be the same. And yes I also removed the set valve assembly, disconnected, removed the service for the set valve, and disconnected the signal wire to the ECU to prevent and f1 light from showing up on the spedo display.
Michael Mcmillan Also, I didn't mention in my video but you will need to purchase an OEM muffler connector gasket they're between 15-20$ they fit between the mid pipe and slip on muffler. You can find at local Suzuki dealer or online Part #5 on any muffler diagram that parts stores provide for the 08-10

stang1201 If you're going to do the mod make sure you have a decent slip on muffler .. I had to get rid of the Jardin slip on and buy a yoshi r-55 because the jardin wasn't performing
