Bo Allan needs to be one of those picks , his speed from stoppage, defensive game is exactly what Stkilda needs. Little bit iffy by foot on occasions but his run with the ball creates opportunities inside 50 .
Watch out for Lindsey at one of those’s picks ? If they don’t? We at Richmond could get him at 10 or 11 he would be one of about 5 players looked at in those’s selections. From what hear Lindsey is be looked at to go early than most expect ? And St Kilda , Melbourne and Richmond are fans! A lot Clubs are Fans in the teens but he may not get past pick 15 ? The good thing is there are a lot of good players around that mark in different positions so Clubs would be hoping Lindsay may get through to them ? But St Kilda will be thinking than can get before others at those’s selections ?

Any inside info on St Kilda’s interest in drafting a key fwd at 8? Almost every Saints fan I know, me included, would prefer to take 2 mids at 7 & 8. Think Reid and Travaglia suits our needs better
@@superclasico8757 na no inside info! I’m definitely in the two mids camp also. My preference would be pace at one of those picks, that’s why I think saints will either split to go up or down, If it’s up they’d look at FOS and if it’s down I think Hotton
STOP THE REID NARRATIVE TO STK! Murphy Reid = Hunter Clark They play exactly the same (even down to the head band) Hunter was a better prospect at the same age, given he's a bigger body & a better kick. We don't need 2 of them! Lindsay & Hotton/Travaglia (given Lalor, Tauru etc gone)
FKN PREACH BRO!!! I"m sick and tired of us being linked to Murphy Reid... it's the biggest giveaway that these "experts" don't know a single thing about our midfield makeup and biggest needs. Thank god Dylan put that first guy in his place! Reid and Armstrong with our top 10 picks?!??? Is he high?!?!?
If I was St kilda, I would like the recruiters to trade pick 7 and one of their lower picks for pick 6. This should get Smilie done and then we still have pick 8 and their lower pick that they can use for a ruck. so 2 Mids and 1 Ruck. Would this make sense Dylan?
If saints need that speed, game breaking midfield. Should do 7+8 (3200) for roos 2 and f2 (~3200). Can get their man and would put roos in a great position to get Tauru and Armstrong
Saints will be trying to trade 8 and F1 for pick 2, or 8 for 15 and 16. Maybe they're trying to get both of those deals done using both 7, 8 and F1. I'd love to see us pick up FOS or Lalor, Lindsay and a KPF/Ruck.
I'm not sure if Hotton would like to go to St.kilda since they delisted his brother. I know they don't get a choice where they go but blood is thicker than water. I think they are in awkward spot. Do you know how many senior/rookie spots they have now they have delisted Crouch and going to rookie him? I'm assuming they will upgrade Sharman at least to a senior spot.
if I was the saints I would trade that 7 and 8 up for 2, then trade a future first into this year for one of Richmond's 10 or 11, don't worry about next year's draft, they could pick up a draper at 2 and a shanahan or another tall forward at that 10 or 11. I think Gerreyn might be someone who is a bolter into the first round
You're looking at academy picks the wrong way. St kilda have pick 32 for example. Lombard, Kako, Ashcroft, are all getting early bids ok, whatever picks the Matching teams use, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Essendon, that are in FRONT of Pick 32, so 25, 28, 30 for example, those picks are used up, so St Kildas Pick 32 could actually move UP by the time they take that Pick. The same for any Pick later in the draft. 4 academy picks before Pick 32, essentially makes that Pick 36, then subtract the draft picks used up BEFORE Pick 36 for academy bids. That's the real Number of your draft pick.
I would love it if Saints managed to trade 8 and F1 for pick 2. Then we bid on Levi at 2, Leo at 8 and Kako at 9. Forces a high price for all and brings our picks in as much as possible!
@scottdoncon9647 dude, I honestly think that us the best scenario. I'd be happy if the saints gave up pick 8 AND a future first for pick 2, even the saints and North trade future firsts and the saints give up 7 and 8, and if they can wrangle a later first round of this year's draft in a trade, then go for it.
Murphy reid and Harry Armstrong dont seem suitable. Need a midfielder that spreads and can get the ball to the outside players wingers/Half backs/Half Forwards. Saints also need a player that can win clean clearances and break the lines; think Dustin Martin type midfielder (Strike Mid) Saints also need small forwards as a priority and a mature aged ruck. Also need Key Position Defenders but the NGAs in Cole and Hoffman will cover this and i would expect to be drafted at picks after 32. Saints first 3 picks should be best available but ideally best available would be 2 midfielders and 1 small forward. ,4th pick to be a mature aged ruck. with 5th and 6th picks used on NGA Players in Cole and Hoffman. Saints will still have 2 available list spots by that point to be used at the rookie draft.
The saints have a ton of speed the problem is it's the wingers and Half forwards and half backs that have the speed. The problem is the current midfield can't get the ball to them.
